Melting Her Cold Heart
Chapter 46. Needs a psychologist

Chapter 46: 46. Needs a psychologist

"Young Master," Mrs Lawson knocked on the door to Alex’s room, but he did not respond. His mind was occupied by the woman sleeply soundly and what happened to her.

He silently swore to make thay woman pay for bringing such harm to Sara, but for now, he had to think of a way to help her overcome he trauma. He was aware of the trauma she was had to overcome and her reaction today was quite similar to back then. The bright side of it was that what triggered her trauma was nit something common so she was able to overcome it once. But this time...

Alex sighed and massaged his temple. In a way, he was to blame for this but he had no inherent choice other than to kill those men otherwise they would have been the ones dead instead.

"Young Master," Mrs Lawson called.

Alex heard her this time and his brows furrowed. He stood up and opened the door his expression dark and cold. He didn’t say anything but Mrs Lawson knew exactly what he was asking her.

She fidgeted under his intense gaze but having served him for so long, she could more or less withstand his cold and domineering nature. "Young Master Adam, came here a while ago after you left to get madam. He said he wouldn’t leave until he speaks with," she said and Alex countenance became darker.

His jaws worked as he tried to contain his anger. "Then let him stay. You can return to your quaters," he uttered and shut the door before Mrs Lawson could reply. He didn’t need to ask to what had brought Adam to his place and the thought of it annoyed him.

He returned to the bed and joined Sara, all his worries and stress seemed to leave his body knowing she was right there with him.

Adam or any other problem could waut until morning.

Meanwhile, away from the mansion in tye presidential suit of a five star hotel, a man stood staring out the wall to ceil8ng glass window with his hands tucked into the pockets of his joggers. His expression was hard read and his pale blue eyes staring into the distance.

His shape features illuminated by the light of the moon, adding a glimmering luster to to his golden blonde locks.

Behind was his secretary who had come to make a report. He stood with a respectful bow, his brown sweeping across his face as he did so. "Mrs Goldman’s men found her before we did," he said, his tone rigid knowing the gravity if what he was reporting. "We don’t know if she was taken or killed. By the time we got there, there was no one around buy we did find evidence of a confrontation."

He looked at the man’s back and gulped. He didn’t know which was more dangerous, his boss’ silence or his words that always come as command and decree that could never ignored.

"Since when did you become so incompetent?" The man asked, his voice was calm but it could not hide the cold edge it possessed.

The secretary gulped as cold sweat trailed down his face and dropping off his chin. He didn’t dare to speak.

"It was just a simple task yet you let thay woman outs smart you. If anything happens to her..." he didn’t complet his stated but the secretary knew exactly what would complet it. "Find her and make sure she is alive."

It would impossible to find her alive if she was already but the secretary was ready to doubt amd believe that she was somehow still alive somewhere and I was determined to find if he and all those who wee sent to search fir her wre to live long.

"Understood, sir," he said and quickly left. Even though he had his back to him, the poor secretary didn’t dare act rashly.

As the sun rose, sharing its warmth with the world promising a beautiful day, Adam couldn’t share the sentiment. He paved back and forth with a finger tapping his chin and endless motion.

It was already in the late hours if the morning yet Alex didn’t seem to want to leave his room. This left hom.perplexed because they were both running companies and knw jusy how important waking up early and being on times means.

He stopped moving when he heard footsteps descending the stairs and looked up to his surprise, Mr Legend was making the one making his way down to him. He never expected to see the old man Legend but he understood his reason for coming. If Alex treated Nicholas like he tretwad Williams, showing up once in a blue moon, the man would want to come and stay with him instead.

"Good morning, Sir," Adam greeted, his tone and stance respectful even though his mind was still wondering why Alex wasn’t up. Or perhaps he left early, intentionally ignoring his presence.

"Isn’t this surprise," Nicholas said but Adam couldn’t not decipher whether it was a good or a bad thing. "What brings you here today?"

"Well... I have been here throughout the night, sir. I jusy wanted to have a word with uncle but it seems he is yet to wake," Adam said. A little paty of him was hoping Nicholas would sent for Alex but he knew that won’t happen.

Before Nicholas could speak, the elevator opened and out walked a doctor and beside him was Alex still in his casuals. They seemed engaged in a conversation as they both failed to notice the extra two presence or they were just ignoring them.

"Mr Legend I think the lady would need a psychologist for this. I have done all that can but I can’t help with her trauma," the do tor said. His words caught both Nicholas and Adam off guard.

A lady? Adam thought while Nicholas squinted his eyes at Alex.

"Alright then. Thanks for the effort," Alex said truly grateful to him fir coming even whoke it was already so late at night when he was called and because it was so late, the doctor had to stay back, spending the night in the mansion till this morning.

"It is my honor to be of assistance to you. Do remember to give her her medication when she wakes up," the doctor said and gave a curt nod before he turned to leave.

"Is this about my granddaughter in law?" Nicholas asked immediately not hiding the fact that they had heard their conversation. Alex did not reply but thay was enough as he already knew the answer. "What happened last after a I left you?"

"Dana Goldman," was Alex’ only reply.
