Chapter 135. Take care of the family

Chapter 135: 135. Take care of the family

"What do you mean by partial amnesia?"

Everyone turned to look at the source of the voice. Not exeoectibg to see him there or to be in such a messy state, they frowned. When he came closer, they could literally smell the alcohol on him.

"Why are you in such an unsightly state?" Olivia asked, being the first to snap out of it. She frowned when he glared at her and co eyed her nose as he drew closer to her.

"I asked you a question, Olivia. Answer me," he demanded. His fist balled at his side, and his teeth gritted in anger and fear.

When Olivia didny answer, even after a few seconds passed, he grabbed her by her shoulders and shook her. "Andwer me, Olivia. Who has amnesia?"

"Stop. You are hurting me," Olivia said as she grimaced due to how painful his hold on her shoulders was. "Grandfather..."

"Afam," Willimas intervened. "Let her go," he ordered, and Adam paused. He turned to look at his granfath4r accusingly. "Let her go and step away from her," Williams added.

Adam begrudgingly let go and stepped away.

"Put yourself together and sit down. You have interrupted an important conversation and should be pu ished for that, but I will consider your emotional state at the moment and let this slide," Williams said again.

Adam glared at him, but he still found a seat to sit on.

"What happened to you?" Lily asked. She wanted to stand up and go to him, but dominic stopped her. Grabbing her hand, he shook his head when she looked at him silently, asking for an explanation.

"Not now," he said, and she sat down.

"Contiinue, Olivia," Williams said once everyone was settled.

"Yes, Grandfather," Olivia adjusted in her seat and sneakily glared at Adam, still upset by the way he had rough handled her. "I don’t know all the details, but they said that it has been a while. And she was still uncomfortable scions whne I left t return here. Uncle Alex should have a better explanation than I do."

Everyone was quiet as they processed everything. Then, as if just remembering something, she added.

"Oh... and I also learnt that Sara is Goldman by birth," she even smiled while saying as if pleased to be the first out of the family to k ke and confirm everyone’s suspicion or WHT they refused to believe.

"Thank you for the information, Olivia. I truly appreciate it," Williams said, and she beamed.

"Thank you, Grandfather," she said all the while, not looking at her parents. "Can I go to my room now, Grandpa?" She asked, wanting to escape before everyone leaves, and she would be at her mother’s mercy.

"Yes, you can go," Williams said, and he left almost at the exact moment he uttered the word.

"The useless child," Lily uttered under breath, but there was nothing that she could now that Williams had given her permission to leave.

"Let her go, Lily. She has done nothing wrong," Dominic said, although his fists were clenched at his side. Even his voice came out strained, but he knew he wasn’t angry at Olivia had. Rather, he was angry with Adam, who was seated before them now.

"I believe you have all heard what she said, and there shouldn’t be any more misunderstanding about this," Williams said and looked at Adam. "I am glad you came home at the right time to hear this. I hope you will let your anger fade and accept the reality. It was your choices that brought about all of these outcomes. I would advise that you man up and accept them as they are."

Adam didn’t reply but the way he looked at Williams, he knew the boy was not yet satisfied.

"We have talked about this, Adam. Don’t make me take more drastic actions to keep you in check," Williams warned, and it was that that had Adam nodding his head, but Williams still doubted the boy would stop and listen to him.

"I am getting too old for this," He sighed.

"Why don’t you have some rest? I’ll guide you inside," Sean came to his side and helped him up.

"Wait," Williams said to him, and he stopped. "Dominic," he called and only continuing when Dominic looked at him. "You are the eldest, and Adam, my eldest grandchild. I expect the two of you to act according to roles. Lead your siblings and guide them well. Stop this foolish conflicts between you and your brothers."

Having said that, he looked at Sean again, "I am ready now," he said, not waiting for either Dominic or Adam to reply to him. He wasn’t expecting any from either of them. They were both as stubborn as each other. Typical father and son. But their stubbornness was leading the family into more conflict and further dividing the family.

"Yes, father," Sean said and led him inside. He looked at Selena, who nodded her head, telling him that he could go.

"Sean," Williams called once they were out of everyone’s sight and earshot.

"Father," he replied.

"I want you to take care of this family if by any chance I can’t live to see the day that all of if thos foolish conflict will come to an end. Kayden is younger brother, take care of him too. He may appear strong and immune to everything, but we both know that is not true. He has suffered and endured much and those have shaped him to who he is today. Be a brother to him. And not the kind that would point a gun to his face and knife to hos back, please." Williams pleaded.

Sean looked at his father for a while before he nodded. "I will," he said knowing everything happening now was making their father’s health detoriate again.

He has lasted this long despite even the doctors telling him tbat his old condition was coming back. If things continue like this, they might be saying their eternal goodbyes to their father soon but Dominic doesn’t seem to realize that.

"Thank you," he said just before they entered his room.

"Do I need to call your doctor?" Sean asked as he helped him to the bed and to take off his shoes and the jacket of his suit.

"Is there any need for that?" WilIams asked. Sean did not reply to that. He looked up at the ceiling as offered his prayers. Praying that the family does not break completely if his eyes refused to open again the next day or anytime soon.

"Sometimes I wonder if it would have been betyer had I had daughters instead of sons," he said and chuckled but Sean could see that he didn’t just say for the laugh.

"Rest now. I will call the doctor," he said and Williams just hummed and lie down and Sean went ahead to remove his belt for him.

"Keep the promise you have just made, Sean. Please." Was all he said befire closing his eyes.

Sean stared at his face, with his eyes closed like that, he looked quite frial. Although the his aura remained ever present. "i have promised, so I will." he said and leaned to kiss his forehead before he left the room.

Williams’ lips slightly curled up when he heard that.
