Alex took the phone from and read the headline of the article. He didn’t need anyone to tell who was responsible for it as it was already so obvious. He would rather return the phone to Kai and sit down.

"I’ll take care of it myself," he said, his tone cool, which left Kai puzzled. "There’s a very simple solution to it. All that’s needed is her permission, and I’ll have it fixed."

"You are being called a wife stealer and Ms Ambrose a gold digger. And you think it’s simple?"Kai asked with a raised brow. He had rushed here to make sure they found a good solution to it, but Alex just brushed it off like it was nothing.

"It has a simple solution. All it takes is one little post, and all of that would be settled," Alex replied with a nod of his head. Kai sighed and sat down next to Amber.

"What are you talking about?" She inquired, her eyes brimming with curiosity. Kai gave the phone to her without saying anything. "Isn’t this just interesting!"

"There’s nothing simple about a person’s reputation being smeared on like that. Especially for me, who would have to deal with the aftermath," Kai complained.

"I almost feel bad for you," Amber said dryly.

Meanwhile, Alex unlinked his phone and logged into his social media account. Did you remember the last time he ever made use of that account, but at least he had one. With precision, he created a post with a picture added to it, but just as he was about to press "done" he paused. His fingers hovering above the button before he dropped his hand.

He thought about what Sara’s reaction would be when he made a post with a picture of her teenage self in it. He had never shown the picture to her before so this would also coke as a surprise but he was grateful for one thing, Sara was aware of their shared past even though she didn’t remember the details. With that thought in mind, he pressed done, and the post was shared. He even tagged Sara’s account as he proudly announced their marriage.

"No way!" Amber exclaimed as soon as she saw the new post. Her eyes snapped towards Alex, staring at him in disbelief. "Who knew all it took was a little slander to your name to have you posting?"

Hearing her words, Dave and Kyle also checked their phone and shook their heads. Kai just stared at Alex, completely lost for words. Perhaps he was right. It didn’t take much from Alex to fix it. All he had to do was type a few words, and it was done. The fact that came from his personal account alone was enough to put a stop to everything. He didn’t know yet what the content of the post was, but he was certain it would shake the city.

"You have nothing to worry about now. It has been settled," Alex said and stood up. He wan6ed to find Sara and let her know what’s happening before she received the shock of a lifetime.

"You are cruel, Alexander," Kyle said while reading the content of the post. There was a photo of Alex and Sara. Sara didn’t look any older than sixteen or seventeen years old while was in his early twenties.

Alex didn’t reply, but he smirked as he walked out of the room. Stopping by the door, he turned and locked with Kai. "You will take me to them in a few minutes, get ready," he said before he finally left.

Kai knew exactly who he wanted them to meet, but he sighed, leaning back. At least he didn’t have to do anything this time

"Who is this Miss Davis you talked about earlier?" Dave asked, asked to catch on to what Alex said before he left.

"Someone who touched something she shouldn’t have," came Kais reply.

Sara and Olivia were just about to leave the lounge area having nothing else to talk about. It was awkward even for Sara, and she didn’t want to make the girl feel more out of place than she already was when they met Alex on his way to meet with them.

He stopped and looked between the two. "Everything alright?" he asked, taking his steps towards Sara.

"We are fine," Sara replied while Olivia nodded her head.

"Could you give us a moment, Olivia?" Alex said while holding Sara’s hand and their fingers intertwined. Olivia’s eyes stared at their linked hands for a second before she nodded. There were many emotions in her eyes and thoughts in her head, but she pushed it all to the back of her mind.

"Okay," she said. She looked around and didn’t know where to go or what to do.

"Amber and the others are in the study. You can go to them or meet Mrs Lawson for anything you’ll need," Alex said, understanding her dilemma.

"Is this about what Adam did?" Sara asked once Olivia was out of sight. Alex paused for a second before giving a nod. "You don’t have to worry about me. I don’t care what people think. They can say whatever they want, it doesn’t matter." If it ever did, she would have taken action the very moment her friends let her know about it. They were even more annoyed over the matter than she was, and she was quite touched.

"I know. It’s just that I can’t stand by watch as my wife gets bullied by others. It doesn’t matter who they are. No one is allowed to bully my wife," Alex said as he led her to the bedroom.

"What are you saying?" Sara felt as though his words meant more than just what he said bu5 she had no proof of that.

"I am simply saying it has been taken. Your husband is quite capable, you know?" He said, and she couldn’t help but smile at how narcissistic he was being right now. Sara freed her hand from his grasp when he turned to shut the door. Crossing them over her chest, she raised a brow on askance.

"You are quite adorable when you look at me like that," he teased, but she rolled her eyes.

"What did you do?" She asked instead, but he smirked and came closed, wrapping his hand around her waist he pulled her even closer.

"Give me a kiss, and I’ll tell you," Alex said while Sara just sighed and shook her head.

"A kiss?" Alex nodded, and Sara chuckled. "Fine," she relented but instead of a kiss on the lips, she kissed his cheek. "Satisfied now?" Alex shook his head.

"I want it here," he tapped his lips and Sara laughed. "What?"

"You are like a child right now, Alex. Will you tell me or not?"

"My kiss."

"I gave you a kiss."

"A proper kiss, from my wife, on my lips."

"Alex..."

"My kiss."

"You do realize that I can’t just go to the internet and..."

"Don’t kill the moment."

"Seriously, Alex. Fine, you’ll get your kiss," Sara gave in. Hearing that, he smiled triumphantly, which Sara found to be even Korean unbelievable, but as promised, she kissed him. Before he could take advantage of it and deepen it, she pulled back and smirked.

Seeing her like that, he chuckled. "I guess that counts," Alex said before taking out his phone. "Here," he gave it to her and she frowned.

"All that drama for something that still requires the internet?" Sara glared at him and collected the phone from him.

"You got to kiss your husband, isn’t that something?" Alex asked while Sara shook her head.

"o cam always kiss my husband any time. It’s my privilege," she replied and for a moment, he paused before a smile slowly crept up his face. Sara didn’t seem to realize what she said until a second later and she became flustered.

"Yes, that is your special privilege," Alex agreed but Sara refused to look at him and turned with her back to him. His smile widened seeing her cheeks turn pink and he pressed a kiss on one. "I believe I also have such privileges, right?" He asked, hugging her from behind.

"Yes," she replied, but still didn’t look at him.

"Thank you," Alex said. He placed his chin on her shoulder while she tilted her head slightly to the side to accommodate him properly.

With the silence now, Sara began reading the content that was shown to her but as soon as she got the photo, her hand halted and her body trembled. If Alex had not been holding her, she would have crumbled to the floor already.
