Chapter 99: Party - 5
Silas’s POV
"H-How do you know about this...? No! What you’re saying is a total lie! I didn’t go to any hotel with any Omega!" the man tried to explain himself.
"Hey, do you think I’m some madman spouting nonsense here?"
Jeren’s words were cold and serious, leaving the man completely speechless.
"And you, lady—you’re throwing your hand at Silas as if he really seduced your husband, when you’re not even pure yourself."
My attention shifted to the lady as I heard Jeren. Her eyes widened in shock as she processed his words.
"You’re also meeting your boyfriend, aren’t you? How shameless. Do you think you’re any better than your husband? You both are complete trash."
Turns out, both the husband and wife were having affairs. Hearing this, my mind screamed, What the hell?!
Wait... is that why they’re forcing their little kid into acting? So they can fool around without worry? They don’t deserve to be parents—just like my own father, that total bastard.
Just then, I noticed the lady stepping forward.
"What the hell do you think you are, saying such filthy things about me? I’m not having an affair! I’m innocent!"
"Oh, really?" Jeren scoffed.
I didn’t know if that woman was having an affair or not, nor did I know about her husband.
But when I glanced at Jeren’s face, I realized he was telling the truth because there was confidence on his face.
His face showed that he wasn’t lying, and that man’s expression was also turning worse. That meant there was truth in Jeren’s words.
"Take back what you just said about me."
The woman suddenly started demanding. I didn’t know what to say anymore—I was just listening to their conversation, or rather, their argument.
"I have proof of what both of you did in the last few years. Do you want me to bring out that proof so everyone can see it?"
As Jeren said that, both the husband and wife suddenly fell to their knees and started begging.
"We were wrong! Please, forgive us! Don’t... don’t show anything to anyone!"
Jeren listened to them in silence, tapping his foot on the floor.
"Are you really having an affair with Silas? I’m going to ask this one last time, so answer carefully."
Jeren’s voice was cold as he spoke. I was also watching that man, waiting for him to admit his mistake.
"Silas and I are not having an affair. My wife just misunderstood me. And... he was beautiful and young, so I just played along."
This bastard. I really wanted to kill him. Anger surged through me, and without thinking, I moved forward, ready to kick him.
But before I could, he grabbed my leg and started apologizing desperately.
"Forgive me, Silas. Please, I was wrong!"
"So, if Mr. Jeren hadn’t come here and exposed everything, you wouldn’t have admitted it, right? And all your lies... they would have ruined my career."
Then Jeren stood up and walked toward me. I jerked that man’s hand off my leg and stepped back.
"Now, tell us, Silas. What should we do with them? They are guilty. They wronged you, so it’s up to you to decide their punishment."
So it’s up to me... and I don’t want to let them go. But if I punish them, what about their kid?
I know this isn’t the time or place to think about that, but if I don’t, then who will?
"I’m going to sue them because this is about my reputation, my self-respect, and my dignity."
"Great choice, Silas!" Jeren said with a smile.
Just then, a group of bodyguards arrived, grabbed the couple, and took them away.
Seeing that, I glanced at Jeren and whispered, "Where are they taking those two? And what about their kid?"
"You don’t need to worry about that. They’ll handle everything legally. As for their kid, I think he’ll have a better life from now on."
Hearing that, I felt relieved. That kid had been unhappy, and knowing he would have a good life—even without his parents—made me feel at ease.
But I still didn’t know what would happen to them. Would they end up in jail or not?
Suddenly, while I was talking to Jeren, my attention shifted to Ciel and my father. They were both standing there, staring at me, but neither of them had the courage to say anything.
Meanwhile, everyone at the party—who had been watching me just moments ago—suddenly acted as if nothing had happened.
They went back to chatting, laughing, and enjoying the party as if the drama had never unfolded.
I guess they’re the type who enjoy watching fights. When conflicts arise, they love the spectacle.
Well, I won’t lie—I liked it too. But these people... they’re professionals. I didn’t expect them to be like this.
"Silas, you’re okay, right?"
As I heard Jeren, I nodded. "I’m fine."
He smiled at me in response.
Well, I never thought that my first time at this party would turn out like this.
This was totally unexpected. I mean, who would have thought something like this could happen to them?
For a moment, I even wondered if this was all part of Ciel and my father’s plan.
The way they suddenly appeared, took that couple’s side, and told me to apologize... it was too suspicious.
But even if this was their plan, I guess it totally failed.
And why the hell does my father keep showing up in front of me? My mood always gets worse whenever I see him.
Because there isn’t a single happy memory of him in my mind.
Just then, Damon walked up to me.
"Silas, come with me. I have something to talk to you about. It’s very urgent," he said.
"What do you want to talk about? Because I have nothing to say."
I think I already know what he’s going to ask. He’ll probably question why I didn’t choose him, why I chose Jeren instead, and why I came with Jeren.
