Chapter 100: Party - 6

Silas’s POV

And just then, without waiting for my response, Damon suddenly grabbed my hand and started walking.

I had no idea where he was taking me, but I went along with him. Then, before I could react, we entered the restroom.

He opened one of the stall doors, pushed me inside, and stepped in after me.

"What the hell do you think you’re doing, Mr. Damon?"

"That’s exactly what I wanted to ask, Silas. What are you doing?"

"What do you mean? What am I doing?" I asked.

Suddenly, he pinned my back against the wall, his hands resting beside me, caging me in. It felt like I was completely under his control.

"When did you meet that old man without even telling me? And not only that—you planned to come to the party with him... and you two even wore matching suits."

"Mr. Damon, can I ask why you’re asking all this? Because I don’t think it’s any of your concern who I come with."

"I asked when and where you met him. Answer me."

"I don’t want to answer that, so..."

He stared straight into my eyes as I spoke. And when I really thought about it, it wasn’t Damon’s place to question who I came with or what I was wearing.

I placed my hands on his chest and pushed him away with full force.

"Mind your behavior, Mr. Damon. From now on, don’t ever try to touch me like this. And never, ever force yourself on me."

Saying that, I turned toward the door and reached out to unlock it. But before I could, Damon suddenly hugged me from behind.

I flinched as his arms wrapped around my stomach, his breath warm against my shoulder. His body pressed against mine, and the feeling was disgusting. Yet... I didn’t know why, but that forest-scented pheromone of his was pulling me in.

My body suddenly felt hot.

Like I wanted to breathe in more of his pheromones... and worse, like I wanted him to touch me.

"Let me go, Mr. Damon."

I grabbed his hands, trying to break free from his grip around my stomach. But the more I struggled, the tighter he held me.

"Silas, I... I don’t know why, but every time I see you, I feel drawn to you—like you’re some kind of magnet."

"This feeling is new to me... That’s why I still haven’t learned how to handle it."

What the hell is he talking about when he already has a mate?

"Mr. Damon, do you even realize what you’re saying right now? What would Orian feel if he heard this?"

The moment I said that, Damon suddenly moved his hand to my mouth, covering it. His other hand remained firmly gripping my stomach.

"Shhh... Don’t say anything. Just listen to me, will you?"

I grabbed his hand, trying to pull it away from my mouth, but my strength was nothing compared to his.

No matter how much I struggled, I couldn’t break free.

"The first time I saw you, I honestly thought you were different... and that thought made me curious about you."

"I didn’t even realize why I cared about you... why I was doing all this for you. When you were kidnapped, I was worried to death, you know?"

Wait... if I’m right, this conversation is heading toward his confession, right?

Noooo, I can’t hear his confession!

"Silas, you must have realized it by now. Is that why you’re getting close to Jeren? To make me jealous?"

"Well, congratulations, you succeeded. I am jealous right now... so much that I don’t even know what I might do."

"But I want to tell you one thing—"

Before he could say anything more, I held my breath for a moment.

Because I just realized something.

When I was sniffing his pheromones... when his body was touching mine... my body was reacting.

Damn it!

Without wasting another second, I slammed my elbow into his stomach and shoved him back.

"Hold your horses, Mr. Damon, because we can never be together."

Saying that, I unlocked the door and rushed out of the restroom.

I felt utterly pathetic.

It was like... I had become just like Ciel—stealing my own brother’s mate.

I had noticed Damon’s behavior, yet I chose to ignore it.

I’m such a piece of shit.

How am I ever going to face my brother after this?

I really felt like crying, but there was no one to comfort me.

I had been thrown out of my own pack.

My family didn’t even consider me one of them anymore. And those I trusted... they were now confessing to me, which was even worse.

I just stood there after stepping out of the restroom, completely lost. I didn’t know what to do anymore.

"Silas, what happened?"

Hearing that voice, I glanced up—it was Jeren. His face was filled with worry as he looked at me.

"Your face looks pale. Something happened, right? ...Damon brought you here. Where is he? Did he say something bad to you?"

Seeing Jeren’s concern, I couldn’t hold back my tears any longer. They started falling, one after another.

"Huh! Silas..."

Without hesitation, Jeren pulled me into a hug, his hand gently patting my back, comforting me.

"There, there, my boy. Don’t cry. I’m here with you," Jeren said softly. "But tell me later what happened, okay?"

I hugged him back because, at that moment, his embrace gave me warmth and a sense of security.

Normally, I don’t cry, nor do I feel this terrible because I’ve always been strong.

But what happened today was something new—something I experienced for the first time in my life. Maybe that’s why I’m feeling this way.

And Jeren’s hug felt like a father’s hug—the kind I’ve seen other fathers give their kids.

But my father never hugged me like this. Yeah, he hugged Ciel like this, but never me.

And now, I’m finally getting that fatherly hug... from someone I met only a few weeks ago.
