Chapter 98: Party - 4
Silas’s POV
I looked up, and sure enough, it was Ciel. But behind him... was my father.
The moment I saw him, my mood worsened.
Ciel walked straight to me, his expression filled with disbelief.
"What did I just hear?! Silas... how can you have an affair with a married man just to get into the industry?"
I clenched my fists, but he continued.
"I didn’t expect you to do something like this... You know, I had a hunch. You suddenly landed a big drama role without even auditioning, and now, today, you’re at this party too."
I had enough.
Grabbing a wine glass, I threw the wine directly at Ciel’s face.
"Are you done, bítch? If yes, then fuck off. I don’t want to see your ugly face anymore."
"SILAS!"
I glanced at my father. Sure enough, even today, he was still on Ciel’s side.
"How can you throw wine on your brother’s face?"
I scoffed. "I think you’re deaf. Didn’t you hear the bullshit he was spouting just now?"
"He was just stating facts. Why are you getting embarrassed now when you weren’t embarrassed while seducing a married man to get a role?"
I glared at my father, and he quickly averted his eyes, looking around to avoid my gaze.
I was beyond angry. But then, I noticed that man—the one standing in front of me.
"Silas, don’t worry. I will protect you," he said.
I smiled—then slapped him.
The sharp sound echoed through the room, but that wasn’t enough. I slapped him again.
He stood there, stunned, before finally snapping out of it and raising his hand to slap me back.
"How dare you slap me—"
But before he could, he froze.
Jeren had grabbed his wrist, stopping him mid-air. And then, Damon arrived too.
"Well, it’s been a while since I saw something interesting at this party," Jeren said casually.
"It was hella boring a while ago, but now? Everything’s just fine... Right, Silas?"
I nodded.
Jeren dragged a chair over and sat down like some kind of thug, leaning back lazily.
"So," he said, his tone dangerously amused,
"what was that again? You and Silas were having an affair, and you helped him get into the industry too?"
"Ye... Yes, we’re having an affair! We love each other so much that I can even divorce my wife for him!"
As soon as he finished speaking, I scoffed.
"Hey, scumbag, do you think I’m blind or a fool? I wouldn’t even dream of flirting with you—forget dating or having an affair."
I crossed my arms. "But you do have one talent—lying."
The moment I said that, the man started glancing around, clearly panicking, as if searching for a way out of the mess he had created.
"Silas, what are you waiting for? Apologize to this lady right now for slapping her! And announce that you’re going to quit the industry!"
My father’s words rang out, his voice filled with authority, but I could only stare at him, unimpressed.
Ciel was still standing there, completely drenched in wine, but for once, he kept his mouth shut.
Just then, Jeren suddenly threw a knife at my father.
He barely dodged it, and the knife clattered to the ground.
"Oops, I missed," Jeren said with a smirk.
Before anyone could react, Damon stepped forward, grabbed that man by the collar, and slammed his face onto the table with a loud thud.
"You’re the one who brought him into the industry, right?" Damon said, his voice dangerously low.
"Then who am I? Tell me—who am I?"
"And what were you two talking about earlier?" Damon continued, his grip tightening.
"I heard everything. He was telling you about your son because he was worried. And your son? He went to Silas on his own—because you were the one who told him that Silas is an angel and sent him to him."
My eyes widened in shock. What? That man... himself sent that kid to me?
That means... it was a trap. A well-prepared one, at that.
First, he sent the kid to me. Then, he himself approached me and struck up a conversation. And later, his wife was supposed to accuse me of having an affair with her husband.
And he? He would confirm it.
After that, the news would spread like wildfire across the internet. I’d be on hot search, and everyone would be cursing at me.
And just like that... their plan worked.
They got exactly what they wanted.
Suddenly, I heard Damon’s voice.
"Silas, you don’t need to defend yourself because I know you’re not wrong. You didn’t do anything wrong."
Just as he finished, Ciel stepped forward again.
"Silas, you’re the one who’s wrong here. So why don’t you just apologize and let it go?"
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Ciel, how do you know I’m wrong? As my brother, don’t you think you should support me no matter what?"
"But I can’t support you in something wrong," he shot back.
"You can’t break up someone’s family just to build your own."
I scoffed. "Well, that’s my business, isn’t it? Why are you sticking your nose in?"
Ciel turned to our father, clearly expecting him to say something, to back him up.
But... my father just stood there. Silent.
"August 16, Rose Hotel, Room 106—with a newbie Omega. September 20, Aura Hotel, Room 555—with an Omega trainee who came to your company for an audition."
At first, I didn’t understand what Jeren was saying. But then I noticed—he was looking straight into that man’s eyes as he spoke.
Damon let go of the man, and I watched as his face turned pale with every word Jeren spoke.
"Last night, you didn’t go home because you had a ’meeting’ in Room 789... with a hotel waiter." Jeren smirked. "Well, I guess you have a kink for young Omegas."
"That’s why you always go after them the moment you see one, huh?"
That’s when it hit me.
The dates, the hotel names, the room numbers—Jeren was exposing this man’s dirty deeds, one by one.
