Silas’s POV

"I don’t like being in the spotlight, which is why I stay in the corner. But how come you’re here?"

As I spoke, I stretched out my hand and took the kid back from Lysander. Who does he think he is, taking the kid from me?

Does he think I don’t deserve to hold him? Or does he not believe me? Does he fear that I would do something to a child?

Just as I was about to sit down, I suddenly noticed a woman walking toward me. I didn’t know who she was, so I didn’t pay her any attention.

But the moment she reached me—she suddenly slapped me.

The entire party fell silent, and now, all eyes were on me.

I touched my cheek, still processing what had just happened. Then, I stood up from the chair.

"You dirty whóre! How dare you try to seduce my husband and even hold my child?! Do you want a kid that badly? Then go find an Alpha for yourself! Why are you eyeing my husband when he’s already married?"
