Mated to Four Alphas -
Chapter 96: Party - 2
Chapter 96: Party - 2
Silas’s POV
He wasn’t flirting with me or anything—he treats everyone like that.
A bitter smile appeared on my lips, and my face refused to hide my emotions.
Just then, I felt a grip on my hand, and before I could react, someone pulled me. I quickly turned around and saw Damon holding my hand.
"Mr. Damon?"
"Silas, come with me. We need to talk about something important."
Without waiting for my response, he started pulling me.
But before he could take another step, Jeren grabbed my other hand.
"Damon, what the hell do you think you’re doing? Is this how you treat your company’s artists? Let go of his hand right now."
"Yes, this is exactly how I treat them. And why don’t you let go instead? Why are you even touching him? Don’t you know he’s much younger than you?"
Damon’s words made it sound like Jeren was in the wrong, like he had some dirty thoughts about me.
Hearing that... it didn’t feel nice at all.
"Damon, I already knew you were a scumbag, but I never thought you’d say something like this to me—especially when you already know I don’t like anyone other than one person."
"Who knows? Feelings might change. And the way you’re showing interest in Silas, it’s obvious you have some ulterior motives for him."
Things were getting out of hand. The men standing nearby could hear our conversation, which wasn’t good.
So, I jerked both of their hands away.
"I don’t want to talk to anyone. And don’t talk to me either."
After saying that, I walked away and stood in the corner.
As I stood there, I was relieved that neither of them followed me.
Standing in the corner wasn’t so bad either—no one paid attention to me there.
Just then, I noticed Kael. He was also here.
How come he’s here?
Then I remembered—of course, he’s an artist. All artists from different fields, even influencers, are here tonight.
Just then, Lysander walked up to Kael, and they started talking like they had been friends since childhood.
I didn’t even know they were friends.
As I was watching them, I suddenly felt a grip on my leg, which startled me. I quickly glanced down.
A kid was standing there, holding onto my leg—and that kid was so cute.
While holding onto my leg, the kid looked ahead, sucking his thumb. So, I squatted down and wrapped my arms around him. He was so small and cute, like a little chick.
"Kiddo, where are your parents? What are you doing here alone? Don’t tell me you’re lost."
The kid just stared at me without blinking, tilting his head slightly.
"Pretty brother, are you an angel who came from heaven to meet me?"
My eyes widened at his words. Angel? Me?
Kids really are innocent. He actually thinks I came from heaven just to see him.
Seeing his excitement, I decided to play along and smiled.
"Yes, dear, I came from heaven especially to meet you today."
"Woah!" The kid suddenly clapped, looking at me with wide eyes.
His expression showed pure disbelief, like he couldn’t believe my words.
"So, will you also fulfill my three wishes, pretty brother?"
Three wishes? Such a greedy kid. But I was also curious about what he would wish for.
"Umm... that depends on what you wish for," I said with a playful smile.
When I asked, he suddenly glanced around, as if checking whether anyone was watching us. Then, he stepped forward, leaned in close to my ear, and whispered,
"I don’t want to do acting anymore. Can you please tell those uncles not to select me? I just want to play with my friends."
His voice was small, almost like a secret he was afraid to say out loud.
"So, my first wish is... please make me shy so I’ll never have to act for those uncles again."
" Second, I want to eat and play with my friends as much as I want. And third... please stop my parents from fighting every day."
My heart ached hearing his wishes.
This little kid didn’t want to act, but I guess because he’s confident and not shy like other kids, they keep casting him in dramas.
But all he wants is to play with his friends and eat with them.
And his parents... can’t they just pay attention to their little kid instead of fighting every day?
I felt pity for this child. I truly wished that the Moon Goddess would show some mercy on this little one and let him have whatever he desires.
"Kiddo, I’m currently on leave, so I can’t fulfill your wishes right now."
As soon as I said that, the kid’s face suddenly turned gloomy.
His eyes became teary.
I knew that if I said this, he would definitely cry, but I didn’t want to lie to him.
If I had told him, "I will fulfill your wishes," he might have been happy for a moment. But when he didn’t get what he asked for, he would be even more upset than he was now.
I didn’t want to give false hope to this little kid.
"Sob... Pretty brother, but you’re from heaven. Can’t you fulfill at least one of my wishes? I won’t ask for more... just let me play and eat with my friends."
Hearing his trembling voice, my heart clenched. Without thinking, I quickly pulled him closer and hugged him.
"I’m not from heaven... I’m just a human, just like you."
As soon as he heard the truth, he started crying.
While I was hugging the kid, I suddenly noticed a pair of shoes standing right in front of me.
I glanced up and saw Kael and Lysnder looking down at me.
"What are you doing, Silas? And who is this kid?" Lysnder asked.
I stood up, picking up the kid in my arms, but before I could say anything, Lysnder gently took him from me and wiped his tears.
"Silas, why are you standing in the corner?" Lysnder asked, his gaze fixed on me.
Meanwhile, Kael remained silent, just staring at me without saying a word.
