Mated to Four Alphas -
Chapter 95: Party - 1
Chapter 95: Party - 1
Silas’s POV
"Mr. Damon, have you finally lost it? Why are you asking such a childish question here?"
"Silas, just answer what I asked... Me or him?"
I glanced at Jeren. He didn’t say anything, and I had promised him that I would go with him to the party. I can’t break that promise yet.
"I will go with Mr. Jeren."
As I said that, Damon suddenly went silent, his face completely unreadable.
I hope Damon won’t hold a grudge against me. Who knows? He might yell at me later, asking why I didn’t choose him.
"Silas, get in the car," Jeren said.
We both sat in the car, and the driver started driving. Thank god the makeup artist came to my house today. At least I look good right now.
While I was lost in thought, I glanced at Jeren. He was staring out the window, resting his head against it, lost in his own thoughts.
But there was a spark of happiness on his face, like he was genuinely happy. That’s why I didn’t say anything to him.
Before long, we arrived at the venue. As soon as we reached, Atlas opened the car door and extended his hand to me.
I was shocked to see him because he had taken the days off to be with his brother until he fully recovered.
Then what was he doing here? Still, I grabbed his hand and stepped out of the car.
"Atlas, what are you doing here? What about your brother?" I whispered.
"He’s fine now. That’s why I came today—because today is the party you were so excited about."
I was relieved to hear that his brother was fine. I wouldn’t want him to sacrifice his family for work.
So, I smiled at him. Just then, Jeren walked over to me and offered his arm.
I waved goodbye to Atlas, held Jeren’s arm, and we took a step forward. But I felt nervous.
Sweat gathered in my palms. Instead of walking confidently, I felt like I would trip at any moment.
Just then, I felt a reassuring touch on my hand. I glanced at Jeren.
"It’s okay. No need to be nervous. Everything will be fine," he said.
I could only hope so.
We walked ahead, and the doors opened for us. The moment we stepped inside, I was overwhelmed.
The entire place was decorated with luxurious lights. There were so many people—some I didn’t even know, while others were celebrities I recognized.
As Jeren and I entered, everyone suddenly started looking in our direction. I had no idea why.
I tried to avoid their gazes, but I couldn’t. We stopped at one place, and I wasn’t sure what to do next. Fortunately, after a while, their attention shifted away.
I observed the guests. Some were chatting in groups, while others stood with one or two people.
Then, a few men approached us, smiling—but their eyes were scanning me.
"Mr. Jeren, it’s been a long time since you attended a party. You used to refuse invitations like this. What made you change your mind all of a sudden?"
Wait... Jeren didn’t usually attend parties like this? I thought he was a regular. Guess I was wrong.
"Sometimes, we need to show people that we’re not dead yet. We’re just resting," Jeren replied coldly.
"Yeah, yeah... But who is this cute omega beside you? Wait a moment..."
The man suddenly paused, looking at me more carefully. Then, he smirked.
"Don’t tell me—he’s your son! His eyes and hair color match yours perfectly. Jeren, why didn’t you ever tell us you had a girlfriend? And a kid this big?"
What the hell? Me? Jeren’s child? No way! Even if we have the same hair and eye color, we look nothing alike!
"Haha... Unfortunately, he’s not my son. But he’s like a son to me, so I hope you’ll treat him well in the future."
Wait. Like a son?
Well, it’s not that bad. Honestly, Jeren would be a way better father than my biological one. My real father only knows how to be biased. In simple words, he only knows how to eat Ciel’s shit.
I really wish I had a father like Jeren. That would’ve been nice. I’d have been the luckiest person in the world.
And for some reason, I don’t feel uncomfortable around Jeren the way I do with other Alphas when they touch me.
Beside Jeren, I feel secure. It’s like he’s someone I should trust without any doubts.
Just then, the man in front of me stretched out his hand for a handshake.
"You already know me, so I won’t introduce myself. Tell me your name."
I glanced at him.
I didn’t recognize him at all.
"Well, I don’t really know you, so it’d be great if you introduced yourself too. My name is Silas."
I reached out to shake his hand, but suddenly, Jeren grabbed my hand, stopping me.
"No need to shake hands, Silas," he said.
I nodded and looked back at the man. His expression instantly changed—his jaw clenched, and he was grinding his teeth.
I didn’t understand what had just happened, but then I heard the men beside him scoffing.
"He doesn’t know him? That’s a great line!"
"Now he knows his real place."
Hearing their words, I realized I had messed up.
This man was getting humiliated because of me.
But it wasn’t my fault! I was just telling the truth. It wasn’t me mocking him—it was his own friends!
Still, arguing with him wouldn’t get me anything. So, I looked around and—
That’s when I noticed Lysander.
He was standing there with a girl, his arm wrapped around her waist.
They were both standing there. I don’t think Lysander has noticed me yet.
I think she’s his co-star—the one he’s been shooting with.
But they look closer than normal. Seeing how he’s behaving with that girl—even adjusting her hair—it feels different.
I think I misunderstood how he treated me all this time.
