Chapter 93: Ciel’s message

Silas’s POV

Both my hands were on Lysander’s shoulders as he spun me around, but I was starting to feel dizzy.

"Ughh... Lysander, I’m getting dizzy! Put me down," I said.

Hearing that, he slowly stopped and gently put me down.

"Morning! Did you sleep well last night?" he asked.

"Of course! I slept very well, but what about you? You don’t look good... Your face looks kind of pale."

"I didn’t sleep well, babe. I was working. My shoot just finished 30 minutes ago, and the first thing I did was come to meet you."

"Lysander, you’ll get sick if you don’t rest. You need to pay attention to your health too—you’re not a kid anymore."

"Then... can I use your bathroom?"

I nodded, and he quickly stepped into my room.

Just then, my eyes landed on Shine. He was still standing near the door, looking at me. I was about to say something when—

"Silas, I won’t disturb you anymore. I’ll take my leave."

And just like that, he left.

I didn’t mean to tell him to leave... Why did he leave all of a sudden? Was it because I let Lysander come inside?

I went back into my room and saw Lysander standing there with a big smile.

"Huh? Weren’t you going to take a bath?"

"Yes, I will, babe. But can we hug first? I missed you so much... And when you were in trouble, I wasn’t here. Just thinking about that makes me so mad."

"It’s okay," I said as I took a step towards him, ready to hug him.

But before I could, he grabbed my hand and pulled me into his embrace, hugging me tightly. He bent down while hugging me, his warm breath tickling my shoulder.

We stayed like that for two minutes before I sent him to take a shower.

I lay down on the bed, kicking my legs while lying on my stomach. I was blushing. These kinds of feelings were new to me.

I knew Lysander was a nice person, so it was possible that I might date him.

As I lay there, lost in thought, Lysander’s phone suddenly chimed with a message notification. His phone was right beside me.

I didn’t really want to check, but I glanced at the screen anyway.

And the moment I saw the sender’s name, my eyes widened.

The message was from Ciel.

In an instant, all the good feelings I had just moments ago vanished into thin air.

The first message contained a photo.

[Ciel: What are you doing, darling? When are you coming back after meeting that Silas? And yes, today was amazing. I enjoyed it a lot.]

As I read the message, an uneasy feeling settled in my chest. I wanted to see the photo, so I tried to unlock the phone.

It was password-protected.

I thought for a moment, then randomly entered Lysander’s name.

The phone unlocked.

Wow. He’s really self-obsessed, isn’t he?

I quickly clicked on the message and opened the photo.

It was a picture of Ciel—wearing hot lingerie.

He was sending pictures to Lysander.

The first question that popped into my mind—how did he even have Lysander’s number? Did they meet outside?

A heavy emotion weighed down on my heart. It felt like history was repeating itself.

I threw Lysander’s phone back where it was and walked out of the room.

When Lysander came out of the bathroom, I was sitting on the sofa.

"Babe, I’m done. Your body wash smells so good—just like you. I really like it. It would’ve been fun if you had joined me," he teased.

I just stared at him as he spoke. He walked over and sat beside me.

"What are you thinking, babe?"

"Nothing." I stood up.

"I’m going to take a bath," I said and left the room.

After a while, when I came back, I saw that Lysander had ordered breakfast and made himself comfortable in my house.

I had known Lysander for quite a while now, so I knew what kind of person he was. But I couldn’t use that to comfort myself.

After all, I had also known Zarek since childhood. I knew his personality. And yet, he still fell for Ciel, didn’t he?

So, Lysander could be the same.

As I stood beside him, he smiled.

"I ordered food for us. I know you must be hungry."

"Mhmm." I sat down and started eating.

I think I should keep my distance from Lysander now. That would be the best choice.

"Babe."

"Huh? Yes?"

"You read that message, didn’t you? The one Ciel sent me?"

I was caught off guard. I looked around, trying to focus on anything else.

"Well, it’s true... I gave him my number. But only because he asked me in front of so many people, that’s why..."

"But I swear, I don’t talk to him anymore. And now, after getting my number, he’s sending me those dirty pictures that I don’t even want to see."

"And he was outside my set today, wanting to go eat something with me. But I told him I had an appointment, so I couldn’t go with him—and I never will."

As Lysander spoke, he suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me onto his lap.

"What are you doing, Lysander?"

"I’m feeling cold. And you’re my heat pack. So, warm me up, please."

I was about to get up, but hearing that, I rested my back against his chest. It was warm.

Just then, Lysander stretched out his hand and started feeding me.

When he fed me, it felt... new. So I stayed still and let him.

"Don’t just feed me, eat too," I said.

Hearing that, he took a bite for himself while feeding me another.

Yeah, Lysander wasn’t like Zarek. But every time something happened, I doubted him.

It doesn’t take years to change people. Sometimes, it only takes a moment.

I wanted to trust Lysander.

But my fear of betrayal—my fear of loving someone again—kept stopping me.
