Chapter 75: Home alone - 6
Theron’s POV
"Silas."
I kept calling Silas, but he wasn’t answering me, even though his eyes were open. I stopped the car, took off my coat, and covered him with it before starting to drive again.
While driving, I sent a message to Damon, letting him know that I had found Silas and was taking him to my mansion for now.
I kept glancing at Silas as I drove. He was staring outside when, all of a sudden, he grabbed my hand, tears brimming in his eyes. Seeing him cry, my own eyes became teary.
"Shorty—no, I mean, Silas—why are you crying? I know that man must have done something to you, but don’t worry. I’m going to give him the most dangerous punishment."
Silas didn’t respond, and I felt even worse.
In just 20 minutes, we reached my mansion. After parking in front of the entrance, I got out, opened Silas’s door, and slid one arm under his knees while wrapping the other around his neck.
Lifting him up, I felt his arms tighten around me. Without wasting any time, I quickly carried him inside and placed him on the bed.
I was about to leave the room to call a doctor when he suddenly grabbed my hand, stopping me.
"Don’t leave me, please," he whispered.
Without hesitation, I lay down beside him, pulling him into my arms. He nuzzled his face into my chest, making himself comfortable.
"Silas," I called out softly, wanting to hear him respond. But he didn’t say anything, nor did he move. When I checked on him, I realized he had fallen asleep.
I sighed, thinking he wasn’t answering me on purpose, but he was just exhausted. However, all of a sudden, I felt his body burning up. Earlier, he was warm, and I thought it was nothing serious, but now he was burning with fever—because of my carelessness.
Without getting up, I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and called the doctor.
When the doctor arrived, he checked on Silas, but Silas refused to move away from me. He was still sitting on my lap throughout the check-up.
Once the doctor finished, he looked at me with a serious expression.
"Master, your mate has taken an excessive amount of medicine to trigger his heat cycle, but the medicines didn’t work. Because of that, he is now experiencing severe side effects. These effects will last for a day, and..."
"And what? Tell me!" I demanded.
"Umm... there are needle marks on his hands," the doctor hesitated.
"Needle marks? What are you trying to say?" I clenched my fists, my patience wearing thin.
"It looks like... his blood was drawn. And not just a little—it was taken in large amounts."
The moment I heard that, my vision turned red with rage. My hands clenched so tightly that my knuckles turned white. That bastard... I will make him suffer the most painful death.
The doctor gave Silas an injection and prescribed some medicines to help him recover faster. He also told me to feed Silas fruits to replenish his blood.
After the doctor left, Silas closed his eyes again, and I was about to rest too when—
BAM!
The door suddenly slammed open.
I turned toward the door, my anger flaring.
It was Damon. He had really rushed here.
"What the hell are you doing with Silas?" he barked.
I gestured for him to be quiet since Silas had just fallen asleep. Carefully, I moved Silas from my lap onto the bed.
He didn’t wake up this time, so I guessed the doctor’s medicine was working. I tucked the blanket around him while Damon walked over and checked for any visible injuries.
I tapped Damon’s hand, signaling him to step out of the room. Once outside, I told him everything.
Damon’s expression darkened, and he immediately took off his glasses.
Seeing that, I grabbed his glasses and made him wear them again.
"Man, chill. This is not the time to think about punishing that bastard. Think about Silas first. Do you know... he was crying? He was literally crying, man. Seeing that... my heart broke into pieces."
Damon’s face paled after hearing that.
Leaving Damon by Silas’s side, I headed to the Shadow Cell.
As I exited the mansion and got into my car, I called Celi. But he didn’t pick up.
That was strange. It was the first time Celi had ignored my call. I figured he was keeping an eye on that man, which is why he wasn’t answering.
Soon, I arrived at the Shadow Cell. It was eerily silent.
There were no guards outside—there was no need for them. Once a criminal was thrown into the Shadow Cell on my orders, they couldn’t escape unless I allowed it. This place was sealed with a barrier made from my blood. No matter how powerful someone was, once they entered... they would never come out alive.
I stepped inside, climbing the stairs, scanning the cells for that man.
But he wasn’t in any of them.
Damn it. Did Celi not bring him here yet? Maybe I arrived too quickly. I decided to wait, but then—
Rustle.
I heard a faint sound coming from the upper floor, where the cells were even darker.
As I ascended the stairs, I felt it.
Someone else was here.
Someone was on the upper floor, trying to hide their breathing. But no matter how hard they tried, I could hear it.
When I reached the top, my eyes widened.
Celi was lying there, covered in blood, his body motionless. His eyes were closed, and he looked... lifeless.
I quickly rushed to him, about to check on him when—
Footsteps. Running toward me.
I immediately stood up, turning toward the source of the sound.
And there he was.
The bastard who had done those horrible things to Silas.
And now... he had even killed Celi.
A slow smile spread across my lips.
"So, you’re stronger than I thought. Celi was one of my strongest men, but not enough to stop you. Judging by how badly you beat him, you must have years of fighting experience," I said, my voi
ce calm, yet deadly.
The man scoffed.
"Hey, jerk! What the hell are you smiling about? Do you think this is a joke?"
