Chapter 76: Home alone - 7
Theron’s POV
I ran towards him and punched him in the face. But even after that, the man was still standing like nothing had happened. Seeing that, I started laughing loudly.
"Hey, are you really lost? Why the f*** are you laughing?"
"What did you do to Silas? Who told you to do that? Tell me, and I might spare you."
He scoffed. "Do you think I’ll tell you that easily? Even if you kill me, I won’t say the name of the person who sent me."
I guess he’s playing hard to get. He said he wouldn’t talk even if I killed him. Well, let’s see if he changes his mind after a little persuasion.
And I’m sure he will. He’ll spill everything, just not right now—maybe in ten or fifteen minutes.
Just then, the man rushed at me, trying to punch me. I dodged, but suddenly, he stabbed a small knife into my stomach. As I felt the blade, my eyes locked onto him in a deadly glare. He immediately stepped back. I touched the wound, feeling the warm trickle of blood.
"Hahaha... Now, this is getting interesting."
I wasn’t going to show any mercy. I grabbed him by the throat, threw him against the wall, and then slammed him onto the floor, kicking him in the face. I didn’t want to kill him yet—I needed to know who was really behind this.
After ten minutes, the man was lying on the ground, covered in blood. He was still breathing, but barely. His half-open eyes stared at nothing.
I grabbed him by the collar and threw him into a cell. Then, I turned to Celi and checked on him.
Thank God—he was still breathing. I sighed in relief and quickly called people to take him to the doctor. Within five minutes, they arrived and took him away.
Then, I walked into the cell.
The man was now sitting up, looking down, his hands resting on his knees.
I opened the cell door and stepped in. He glanced at me before lowering his head again.
"So now, tell me—who sent you? And why did you draw blood from Silas?"
As soon as I said that, he looked up, eyes wide.
"H-How do you even know?"
Did he think I was dumb and wouldn’t notice the needle marks? Yes, it’s true that I didn’t pay attention at first, but the doctor pointed it out this time.
"If you really want to live, answering my questions would be the smarter choice, don’t you think?"
He hesitated, looking at me like he was considering telling me the truth.
"Kill me already," he muttered. "You’ve already broken my leg bones—why are you leaving me alive?"
"To get the truth, of course."
"But if I tell you, he will kill me. And I don’t want to die. "
He? Who the hell is he talking about?
"What do you mean by ’he’?"
"Please, don’t ask me anything. Please! I don’t want to die by his hands. Just—just kill me instead!"
What the hell was he talking about? Who was this ’he’ he kept mentioning? He was more afraid of this mysterious person than of me. Did he really think I’d give him a quick and painless death?
"Why did you give Silas the medicine to trigger his heat cycle?"
"I was just following orders!" he snapped. "And that omega wasn’t ordinary—he smashed his phone on my head and made me bleed. When I tried to give him the medicine, he fought back!"
I listened to his entire story. By the end of it, I had learned the truth—or at least half of it.
"Man, that’s only part of the truth. You told me what you did to Silas, but you still haven’t told me who gave the order."
He stayed silent.
So, I kicked him in the jaw before leaving.
After leaving the cell, I returned home. By the time I got there, Damon was still sitting beside Silas, who was sleeping.
Seeing me, Damon stood up and walked out of the room.
"What happened?" he asked. "Did that guy talk? Did you kill him?"
"Come on, Damon. Do you think I’d kill him when I can torture him to death instead?"
"And? Did he give up the name of the real culprit?"
I told Damon everything the man had said about Silas.
After that, we both sat beside Silas, taking care of him. He didn’t wake up the entire night.
The next day, Damon and I were sitting on the floor, our heads resting on the bed, holding Silas’s hand.
Suddenly, I heard a coughing sound. My eyes snapped open, and I saw Silas waking up.
He sat up, and his movement woke Damon as well. Damon’s eyes lit up when he saw Silas awake.
"Silas! You’re awake! How are you feeling?"
At first, Silas looked at us like we were strangers. Then, I think he remembered, because he quickly pulled his hands back, staring at us. Seeing that, a wave of happiness rushed through me—Silas had recovered.
"The hell? Where am I? And where is that f***ing bastard?"
I quickly sat beside him.
"Don’t worry, shorty. I’ve imprisoned that guy and taught him some lessons too."
Silas winced, grabbing his arm where the doctor had mentioned needle marks.
"Wait... how did I end up here? Did you two save me or something? Tell me."
I explained everything to Silas—how I found him with that man, how I brought him here, and how bad his condition had been.
Silas listened, his expression shifting to shock as he processed everything. But he needed to know the truth—so I told him everything.
Damon also stood up and sat beside him.
"Silas, your hands are hurting, right?"
"Nope," Silas replied.
Damon still grabbed Silas’s hand and started rubbing his palm over Silas’s hand.
Seeing that, I also grabbed Silas’s other hand and did the same thing.
"Both of you, don’t touch me!" Silas snapped, pulling his hands back.
