Chapter 74: Home alone - 5

Theron’s POV

Last time, when Silas and I accidentally entered Dark Valley and got kidnapped,

I was both disappointed and relieved—disappointed that the people here didn’t recognize their own master after just three years,

and relieved because Silas never found out that I was the one who created Dark Valley.

And the worst part? That bald fatty had completely forgotten the rules I established. He was making his own, acting like he was the king now.

So, I killed him.

Dark Valley doesn’t need a boss who’s selfish and only thinks about himself.

I was in the middle of teaching them a lesson when I got a message from Damon. The moment I read it, my eyes widened, and my heart skipped a beat.

I immediately called Celi.

"Send our men to search for Silas. Someone kidnapped him and brought him here by force—we have to find him fast."

Dark Valley is my place. I know every corner, every hidden passage. And I also know exactly who comes in and who leaves.

Fifteen minutes later, Celi returned.

"Master, we found the location."

"Really? That’s great. Let’s go."

As we left, I checked the location—it was in the east, in an area I had left vacant because I was planning to build a bar there. I had banned people from going near that place.

That bastard dared to step into my restricted area? And on top of that, he kidnapped my cute shorty?

Celi and I got into the car and sped toward the east. It took us twenty minutes to reach the place. The moment we arrived, I jumped out and started scanning the area.

There were many abandoned, broken-down houses. As we stepped forward, everything was eerily silent.

Too silent.

Just then, I heard a faint creaking sound coming from a shop ahead.

I quickly went to check, glancing inside through the locked glass doors. I had a feeling someone was in there.

I banged on the door.

"Hey! Open up right now! Can you hear me?"

No response.

I turned to Celi, who was already preparing to punch through the glass. With a single hit, the door shattered into pieces.

"Good one, Celi. But you still need to work on your strength."

"Okay, Master, I’ll train harder."

I kicked the door open and stepped inside. It was pitch dark. I turned on my flashlight, searching for the light switch.

As soon as I flipped it on, dust scattered in the air. It looked like no one had been here in ages.

Then, suddenly, I heard a faint panting sound.

Following the noise, I found a door hidden behind the cash counter. I glanced at Celi before stepping forward and opening it.

Inside, Silas was lying on the ground, his hands and feet tied. He was unconscious.

Beside him, a man was sitting—shirtless, injured, covered in bruises.

The moment he saw me, he pointed a gun at Silas.

"Who the hell are you, and what are you doing here?" he demanded.

I smirked. "That’s my line, don’t you think? The one lying unconscious on the ground is my shorty. How dare you kidnap him?"

The man stood up, his grip tightening on the gun. Celi remained still behind me, watching.

"Don’t come any closer, or I’ll kill this omega," he threatened.

That’s when I noticed the wounds on his body—his head was bleeding, and his bruises looked fresh, as if someone had beaten the hell out of him.

Did... did Shorty fight back?

I can’t even imagine how scared he must have been in front of this bastard.

I suddenly moved forward, kicking the gun out of his hand.

"Do you even realize who I am?" I asked coldly.

The gun clattered to the ground. The moment he heard my voice, his legs gave out, and he dropped to his knees.

"Please, forgive me! I didn’t do this on my own—I was ordered!"

Ignoring him, I knelt down and untied Silas.

The moment I freed him, he woke up.

And as soon as he saw me—

"THERON!"

He threw himself into my arms, hugging me tightly.

Just then, Celi brought a chair inside. I picked Silas up and sat down, keeping him on my lap. He clung to me, refusing to let go.

I stroked his head with one hand and patted his back with the other, trying to comfort him.

This was the first time I had ever seen Silas like this.

Even last time, when we were fighting, he had been so strong. His aura had been fearless.

But now... seeing him like this, only one thought ran through my mind—

What the fck did this bastard do to my shorty to make him like this?

I glared at the man still kneeling before me.

"What the f*ck did you do to my shorty?"

"I—I didn’t do anything!"

"Really? Then why is he not cursing you? And how the hell did you end up like this? Who beat you?"

"I... I had a fight with someone else. I swear, I didn’t do anything to him!"

"You’re saying you didn’t do anything, and he just ended up like this on his own? Do you think I’m a fool?" I snapped, glaring at the man.

But before I could press further, I felt movement in my arms.

Silas was shivering.

My grip on him tightened as I hugged him closer, trying to steady him, but it didn’t work. His trembling didn’t stop.

"Silas," I murmured, stroking his back. "It’s okay now. I’m here."

But he still wouldn’t speak.

I could feel his fingers clinging to my shirt, his body stiff as if he was holding himself together.

I narrowed my eyes. This situation was getting out of hand.

"Celi, take him to the Shadow Cell. And don’t harm him."

The Shadow Cell—the place where criminals with death sentences are kept.

I carried Silas out of the shop like a koala and gently placed him in the passenger seat.

Celi was already on the phone, calling for another car while tying up the man’s hands.

Without wasting another second, I drove off.

As I started driving, Silas was unusually silent. He didn’t say a word, didn’t even glance at me.

That wasn’t like him at all.

I frowned and called his name.

"Silas."
