Mated to Four Alphas -
Chapter 66: Orian’s fated mate
Chapter 66: Orian’s fated mate
Kael’s POV
In the morning, I was painting the walls of my studio while standing on a ladder.
But I don’t know what happened—maybe I lost my balance—because the next thing I knew, the ladder fell, and I went down with it.
My legs were fine, but the real problem was that the ladder landed on my hand. The pain was so intense that, for a moment, I thought my hand was fractured.
It felt like my bones had shattered. I was about to head to the hospital when I suddenly got a call from Orian.
—(Orian) "Brother Kael... I think I want to go to the hospital. Can you come with me?"
—(Kael) "What happened? Are you hurt somewhere?"
—(Orian) "No, but the servant said something is wrong with me. That’s why my heat cycle has never come, not even once. So, I was thinking of visiting the hospital, but Mom and Dad aren’t home."
Yeah, Dad took Mom on the longest vacation ever so she wouldn’t worry about us and could finally enjoy herself.
Meanwhile, Orian was alone in the mansion with only the servants. Whenever I had time, I would visit him.
—(Kael) "Okay, I’ll come to pick you up. Get ready."
I called my driver and told him to take me to the mansion.
Orian’s heat cycle had never come, not even once since childhood. The same was true for us four brothers—we had never experienced our rut either.
So, we only knew about the heat and rut cycles from reading about them.
Even last time, when Orian and I were about to kiss, I suddenly felt like throwing up. He did too. It was as if our bodies were rejecting each other.
I think it would be good for Orian to see a doctor about this. In fact, all four of us should probably get checked.
None of us have ever been able to sense or feel an omega’s pheromones, and our rut cycles have never happened.
To be honest, I don’t believe that oracle who said the four of us share one true omega fated mate.
Damon claimed he smelled strawberry pheromones from Orian, but when we met at home , he didn’t sense anything—not even the rest of us did.
I don’t even know if Orian’s pheromones are really strawberry-scented or something else. We never took him to the hospital ourselves; it was always Mom and Dad who did.
"Sir, we have arrived," the driver said.
Hearing that, I turned my attention outside. Orian was waiting for me. I waved at him to get in the car, and as soon as he did, we left for the hospital.
During Orian’s full-body checkup, the doctor asked me to step outside, saying no alphas were allowed to watch the treatment.
"Okay, then. I’ll go see a doctor for my hand. If you finish before me, don’t go anywhere. Just wait for me."
"Okay."
I left, but when I reached the elevator, it was packed with people. I didn’t want to get squished between them—my injured hand would’ve only gotten worse—so I decided to take the stairs instead.
And that’s where my luck ran out.
Because just as I was going up, I saw that omega from the mansion coming down the stairs.
Deliberately, I stepped in front of him, expecting him to move aside. But instead of stepping away, he pushed me! I lost my balance and tumbled down the stairs.
I was really frustrated. I fell down just from that little guy’s push?
That’s why I blamed him for my injury and made him take me to the doctor. Because let’s be real—doctors are scary.
They don’t show any pity on alphas. They think we don’t feel pain. But of course, we do! We’re human too!
Since that little guy was with me, I grabbed his hand as the doctor examined me. But that damn doctor twisted my hand! The pain was already unbearable, and when he did that, I was about to scream.
That would’ve been so embarrassing, so instead, I pulled the little guy’s hand closer and bit him.
But did he let that slide? Of course not.
He slapped me. Hard.
I didn’t say anything because, honestly, it was my fault for biting him.
When we came downstairs, I saw Orian, whose checkup was already done. He was waiting for me. Just then, that little guy ran up and hugged Orian.
My eyes widened.
I was holding Orian’s checkup report in my hand.
Wait a second—does that little guy like Orian? I’ve never seen two omegas together before, but I guess anything is possible when you’re in love.
Still... something about their love seemed strange to me.
Because if they really did get together, who was going to put it in? I mean, they’d both just get wet from behind, right? I saw that in a video once.
Man, what am I even thinking? I’ve never had sex before, and here I am wondering how two omegas would do it.
Just then, the little guy pulled away and said he had mistaken Orian for someone else.
Was he telling the truth? Or was that just an excuse?
"Brother Kael, they said my heat cycle will only come once I meet my fated mate."
Fated mate?!
So Damon was right... Orian isn’t our fated mate. And if that’s true, then it means he does have a fated mate—but it’s none of us four.
I looked at Orian’s report. He was completely healthy, and his pheromones were orange.
A wave of guilt hit me.
I tried to kiss someone innocent... someone who wasn’t even our mate.
I’m such a scumbag.
I let out a big sigh.
"We’ll talk about this later. And don’t show this report to anyone... It’s better if I keep it with me."
"Okay, as you say."
As I looked at Orian now, something struck me.
His face... It looked a little bit like that little guy’s.
They had the same hair and eye color.
Could they be brothers?
No. Not even in my dreams.
Orian is kind, naive, and gentle. But that little guy? He’s a wild cat who scratches people for no reason.
Their personalities are total opposites.
