Mated to Four Alphas -
Chapter 63: Audition
Chapter 63: Audition
"Damon, can we talk alone for a moment?"
As I said this, Damon gestured toward Atlas, signaling him to leave. Atlas understood and quietly exited the room.
"Mr. Damon, are you sure you want him to be my bodyguard?" I asked.
"Why are you asking? Do you not like him? Did he make you uncomfortable or do something wrong?"
"I just don’t feel comfortable around him. He sticks his nose into my matters. And who even told him my apartment number and floor?"
"No one. Who would tell him?"
"Then what was he doing at my door? I know he’s my bodyguard and comes to deliver my patches, but it feels strange. I’ve never felt this way before."
Damon listened to me, occasionally glancing outside.
"Okay, I understand. If you’re feeling this way, I’ll tell him to be more mindful from now on. But he really is a good candidate for your bodyguard. Also, I heard his little brother is crazy about you. Maybe that’s why he’s acting like this. But believe me, starting tomorrow, he won’t be like this anymore."
I didn’t understand what Damon meant. He was saying Atlas was a good bodyguard but also assuring me that he wouldn’t behave this way from tomorrow. His words just went over my head.
Then, Damon glanced around, spotted the teddy bear he had thrown earlier, and picked it up. As he was about to leave, I quickly grabbed its leg.
"Where are you taking that? It’s mine!"
"Silas, didn’t you say this was a gift from a fan? It has to go through security checks, just in case. After that, all your gifts will be sent back to you."
Oh. So this kind of thing happens too? I didn’t know fan gifts had to go through security checks.
Damon sent the teddy bear with Atlas to the security department, then gave me a few acting tips since my audition was coming up soon. After that, he finally left. Honestly, why did he even bother coming here? He could have just sent a message or told me over the phone. But whatever.
After that day, I got really busy. The company started promoting my Stargram account and uploaded my workout videos on their official channel. Surprisingly, fans loved them—even though I wasn’t even doing much.
Just like that, three days passed, and my audition day arrived. I memorized the entire script and practiced my lines in front of Nekol. Strangely enough, Nekol seemed more nervous than me. It’s not like I wasn’t nervous—I was—but I hid it under a smile.
We were sitting on the sofa outside the audition room. Not many artists had come to audition since the role I was trying for was the MC’s best friend. The main lead roles had already been decided and given to famous, popular actors.
But honestly, I’ll take whatever role I can get. I want to become famous—step by step.
Just then, I heard an annoyingly familiar voice.
"Oh? You’re here too?"
I glanced up and saw Ciel standing there with someone—probably his manager.
Wait. Which company is Ciel even working with right now?
"Your breath stinks. Can you not talk with your mouth open?" I said sweetly.
"My breath stinks? Not mine! I’m a fragrance-full person!" he quickly defended himself.
"Oh really? Then why does your ’fragrance’ stink like a fart? Did you fart? Or did someone fart on you, poop boy?"
"WHAT? Who are you calling poop?! And there’s no fart smell on me! You must be smelling it from yourself!"
"Nekol, did you hear that? Some dog is barking right now. Ugh, just looking at him makes me want to puke."
Ciel always messes with me, so of course, I have to do the same. I’ve known him since childhood, so I know exactly what annoys him the most. And if he doesn’t stop messing with me, I swear I’ll give him a good beating.
Hearing me, he had nothing left to say. Huffing in frustration, he went to sit on the next sofa with his manager. But even from there, he kept turning to stare at me. I glared at him, and finally, he looked away.
Just then, the audition room door opened, and a girl stepped out.
"Silas, you’re next."
As soon as she said that, I quickly stood up. She went back inside, and I was about to follow when—
"Go and do your audition. Not that it matters—you’re going to fail anyway. Who would cast a dirty whóre like you?"
My blood boiled.
That bastard.
Instead of opening the door, I turned around and walked straight to Ciel, standing right in front of him.
"What? Why are you here? Don’t tell me that after learning the facts, you don’t want to give the audition anymore. I mean, there’s no need, right? You don’t have a sugar daddy to pass you through without even showing your acting skills."
Hearing him, I didn’t think twice. Without hesitation, I raised my hand and slapped him.
The sharp sound echoed through the hallway.
Ciel’s eyes widened in shock, turning glossy with unshed tears. He was speechless.
"How dar—"
Before he could finish, I slapped him again—harder this time.
His cheek turned bright red, and his expression twisted into a crying face.
The sight of it gave me immense satisfaction.
Now, finally, he wouldn’t be running his mouth anymore.
Nekol quickly stood up and grabbed my hand, stopping me from hitting him again—not that I was going to. Two slaps were more than enough.
Just then, I heard the sound of footsteps.
The directors and producers, who had been sitting inside the audition room, must have heard the commotion because they started coming out.
Hearing that, Ciel suddenly started crying loudly.
His dramatic sobbing only made me angrier.
Without thinking, I grabbed him by the collar and threw him to the ground.
"Now cry all you want! At least this time, it’ll actually satisfy me knowing you’re crying because I hit you."
