Mated to Four Alphas -
Chapter 61: Mates-1
Chapter 61: Mates-1
Silas’s POV
As I glanced at him, his eyes were scanning the apartment from outside.
"Silas, your cheek looks swollen. That’s why I brought this patch... Here, apply it."
"You can go back now." As I spoke, his eyes turned toward me, and without saying anything, a creepy smile appeared on his lips.
"You’re alone at home, Silas? Is your manager not here?"
Well, as a bodyguard, I know they sometimes worry about their artists, but his concern felt... different. My eyes locked onto him.
"Why are you asking?"
"I’m just worried about you, that’s all. But if you’re uncomfortable, I’ll take my leave."
He left, but I still didn’t believe he was actually gone. Stepping out the door, I glanced at the elevator. The numbers were going down. He really left. I went back inside and locked the door.
"Am I being too sensitive these days?"
I walked to the sofa, sat down, and turned on the TV. Guess what? My drama’s first episode was airing. Seeing myself on TV, I didn’t change the channel. Instead, I watched the entire episode.
Lying comfortably on the sofa, resting my cheek on my hand, I suddenly heard the doorbell ring. I stood up sluggishly and walked to the door, opening it like a slime.
Nekol was standing in front of me.
"Oh, Silas! You’re home! By the way, I saw your new bodyguard in the lobby."
"How do you know he’s my bodyguard?"
Nekol handed me a shopping bag. It was heavy, but not too much. I carried it to the kitchen and placed it on the counter. When I returned, I saw Nekol looking exhausted, slumped on the sofa.
I went back to the kitchen, poured a glass of water, and brought it to him.
"Nekol, do you want anything else? If you do, just say it. I’ll bring it for you."
"I don’t need anything. You should go and practice your acting. Your first drama was basically your real life— you just had to say the lines since your personality matched the character perfectly."
My steps faltered as I sat beside him.
"Did I get another drama?"
Nekol smirked. "Yes, there’s an audition in three days."
Wait— three days? Isn’t that too fast? But who cares? Since the flower of my heart had bloomed— I mean, since I was happy— I decided to cook dinner.
I think I’m a great cook because I managed to make an entire meal just by following YouTube videos. When I served the food in front of Nekol, I didn’t take a single bite. I just stared at him with excitement, waiting to see if he liked it.
But Nekol didn’t say anything. He just kept eating, bite after bite.
"Hey, Nekol, no one’s going to snatch your food! At least tell me how it tastes! I’ve been waiting for your answer."
"It’s delicious. I got so lost in eating that I forgot to say anything."
Hearing that, I felt proud. After all, I’m such a talented person.
Even though I told him I’d do it, Nekol washed the dishes. That night, as I lay in bed, I didn’t feel like looking at my phone for the first time ever. I just closed my eyes and started imagining all the things I wanted.
I didn’t even realize when I fell asleep.
The next morning, my alarm rang at 4:00 AM. As soon as I turned on my data, I was bombarded with notifications. There were messages from Lysander and Theron, but the real shock came when I saw the trending articles.
My drama had reached No. 2 in the rankings in just a few weeks! People everywhere were talking about me, making memes, editing my videos, and even shipping me with Lysander.
It was completely unexpected. I was so happy that I didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, my room felt stuffy. I needed fresh air.
Grabbing my hoodie, I put it on and covered my head. The truth was, I wanted to see if there were any posters of me placed around the city.
I quietly stepped out of my room. I knew I should tell Nekol before leaving, but I couldn’t wake him up this early.
So, I quickly slipped out of the apartment. As I walked outside, it was still dark. But then— click!
I heard the unmistakable sound of a camera.
Whipping my head in that direction, I saw paparazzi standing there, bundled up in jackets, cameras in hand. As soon as they spotted me, they started snapping pictures like crazy.
And then—
"SILAS!"
"SILAS!"
I turned toward the voices, and my blood ran cold.
More than a hundred people were running toward me.
As they got closer, it felt like my end was approaching. I tried to turn and escape, but the crowd had already surrounded me.
I was getting crushed.
Just then, a hand grabbed me and pulled me out.
When I looked up, it was Theron. His hand rested firmly on my shoulder.
My eyes widened. What was he doing here this early in the morning?
But more importantly— he saved me. That was all that mattered.
"Shorty, didn’t you realize that we’re mates?"
What?!
What did he just say?
I stepped away from Theron and glanced around; no one was near us, as if we were alone in that entire area. Yet, just a moment ago, the paparazzi and fans were there—where had they gone?
Then, Theron pulled me into a hug. I didn’t know what was happening, but as I was about to push him away, I felt someone else right behind me. I pushed Theron aside and saw Damon, smiling as he looked at me. And just then, Lysander appeared with Damon’s brother, Kael.
"Why are you all together?" I asked, completely confused.
"Don’t you know? We are your mates, Silas," Theron said with a smirk.
"WHAT?! ... Are you all out of your mind?!" I shouted, staring at them in utter disbelief.
Just then, all four of them grabbed me—some held my hands, another gripped my neck. It was completely unexpected... and the worst possible situation.
As they grabbed me and forced me to sit on a chair, Kael and Damon stood behind me, their fingers brushing against my hair and neck. Meanwhile, Lysander and Theron sat near my legs, their hands resting on them.
I felt trapped.
