Chapter 53: in the apartment - 1

Silas’s POV

After five minutes, a black car stopped in front of us. But it wasn’t Nekol’s car, so I didn’t pay attention—until the window rolled down, revealing Damon sitting inside.

"Get in, both of you," he said.

Theron took the passenger seat beside Damon, so I sat in the back.

"How come you two are together? And where were you last night?"

Of course, he was going to ask that—Theron is his brother, after all. Theron told Damon everything, including details about his friend. Didn’t he tell me not to tell anything about his friend? And now he’s spilling it all himself. But I guess it’s different since Damon is his brother.

Damon listened silently, glancing at me from time to time through the rearview mirror.

"Silas, your eyes are red," Damon suddenly said.

"Huh?"

"Your eyes are red. Close them; you’ll feel better."

I closed my eyes, and as soon as I did, they started itching. Their conversation faded into the background as I remained silent. A while later, the car stopped. I opened my eyes.

"Are we there?"

Damon nodded, and I got out. We had arrived. Nekol was standing outside our building, looking anxious.

As soon as Nekol noticed me, he ran over and hugged me tightly.

"Silas, where were you? I was worried to death about you!"

I hugged him back. "I’ll tell you everything. Let’s go inside."

As we stepped into the apartment, Theron and Damon followed. I didn’t refuse since Nekol let them in. Once inside, I told Nekol everything. He sighed in relief.

After that, I went to my room for a quick, refreshing shower. It felt like heaven—like I hadn’t showered in centuries.

Once done, I put on my oversized pink T-shirt and shorts. But the moment I stepped out of the bathroom, I saw Theron sleeping on my bed.

"What the hell are you doing in my room?"

Hearing my voice, he quickly opened his eyes.

"Shorty, this is your room? You look pretty funny after taking a shower."

I glared at him and stepped out to ask Nekol why this guy was in my room. But the moment I stepped outside, I was pulled into a tight hug.

Surprised, I glanced up to see Lysander.

Seeing him made me happy—I hadn’t seen him yesterday. So, I hugged him back.

"Silas, I heard what happened yesterday... You’re not hurt anywhere, right?"

"I’m fine, Lysander. Don’t worry so much. But... why do you look so pale? Don’t tell me you came straight here after work."

"Umm... I was worried about you. That’s why I came directly to find you. But seeing you fine makes me feel a lot better."

Hugging Lysander was comfortable and nice—until a voice interrupted.

"What’s happening here? Are you two dating or something? Why are you hugging like this?"

Damon.

I quickly pulled away and turned around. Everyone was standing there. Theron was at my room’s door, staring at me, while Damon stood beside Nekol, holding a glass of milk.

Damon stepped forward and handed me the glass. "Here, drink this. You need energy. And Lysander—care to tell me why you’re here?"

Lysander took my hand. "I’m here to see him."

I didn’t let go of his hand either. With my other hand, I quickly finished the milk.

Damon took the empty glass and went to the kitchen. A moment later, he returned, and we all sat down.

"Silas, why did you go alone in the first place? I know you’re strong, but aren’t you being too careless?"

Damon was lecturing me like an old man. And honestly, it was my fault, so I stayed silent.

"You’re lucky you ran into Theron. Imagine if he wasn’t there last night. What would have happened to you?"

"I’m sorry." I admitted my mistake. There’s no shame in accepting when you’re wrong.

"I’m not trying to make you apologize. I was just worried because we couldn’t track your location at all."

"But now that you’re safe, keep this in mind—you’re not allowed to go out alone anymore. Starting tomorrow, I’m assigning you a bodyguard."

I nodded. It wasn’t a bad idea. Having my own personal bodyguard like other artists sounded pretty cool.

"Everyone must be hungry. Let’s eat something," Nekol said, trying to change the subject.

And he was right—we were all starving. So, we ordered food. Of course, Damon paid—it was his responsibility as our CEO.

There were so many delicious dishes, plus some beers. Since my followers had reached 5 million (and were still increasing), we celebrated. Damon gave me a day off, but after that, I had an MV shoot with a boy band group.

Eating with everyone was fun. We talked and laughed. Theron cracked so many jokes that I ended up choking on my food from laughing too hard.

Since we were at home, I didn’t hold back and drank as much beer as I wanted. But soon, I started feeling dizzy. Everything seemed funny. I saw two Therons, two Lysanders, two Damons—even two Nekols. It felt like I was dreaming.

At some point, my eyes shut.

When I woke up in the middle of the night, my head was resting on Lysander’s lap. We were all lying on the ground. Theron was sleeping with his head on my legs. I sat up and moved his head aside. Lysander was also asleep, leaning back against the sofa. Nekol was sprawled next to the beer bottles.

"You’re awake."

Hearing that voice in the silent, dark living room made my heart skip a beat. Everyone else was asleep, so... whose voice was that?

I turned toward the direction of the sound—and saw Damon, sitting on the sofa, focused on his phone.

"You’re still awake, Mr. Damon?"

"Yeah, I didn’t drink much earlier—that’s why."

"But you’re sweating a lot. How are you feeling now? Sobered up or not?"

"I’m sobered up," I said, standing up and sitting on the sofa while grabbing my mobile.

"You and Lysander are dating, right?"

Hearing Damon’s words, I quickly looked at him.
