Silas’s POV

"No, he didn’t treat me badly. He treated me very well. But even after this, he’s telling me that we can’t be together. And I’m not a fool, right, Dad? So why would I run after him when he’s saying again and again that he can’t be with me, even if we love each other?"

So what I was thinking was right. That fool Meyer doesn’t have any brain. He is brainless. How can he say that again and again to my brother that they can’t be together? I’m gonna smack that Meyer. And that too, very hard.

After that, Dad really comforted Orian, and he cried for half an hour. His eyes were puffed. After that, he calmed down and was sitting there. Just like he was sitting. I could see the pain in his eyes. And this is all because of that Meyer.

When Dad comforted Orian, he told him there’s no need to find a new Alpha to forget about Meyer. We can enjoy ourselves, we can be happy, and while doing all this, we are eventually going to forget him.

That’s what Dad said. When Orian got ready, he said that he also wants to go around now—to another pack to see how other packs are and meet new people too.

And Dad got ready to send me and Orian with these four Alphas. Dad said that he did check the background of all four of them—what type of people they are, how they behave with Omegas.

And Dad said, there was no scandal about them being with any Omega till now. Dad was feeling sad that I had come back from another pack just a few days ago. Now I am leaving again, and that too with Orian.

And just then, Dad’s personal assistant came there with a letter in his hand. He handed over that letter to Dad. But when Dad read the name of the sender, he quickly put that letter inside his pocket and smiled at us.

"Don’t worry about me, okay? When you go to their pack, just enjoy yourself and pack some warm clothes with you, because I hear their pack is full of snow," Dad said.

Something changed. A few minutes ago, Dad was saying, how can he send both of us? But as soon as that letter arrived, and Dad read the name on that letter, he was even telling us what to pack while going there. Like his whole mood changed. Hmm, now I’m suspicious. Did Dad have a lover? Oh my gosh! Why didn’t he tell me then?

"You both go and pack your belongings, okay?" Hearing him, both of us stood up and left the study. But I didn’t leave. I stood near the door to hear if Dad was reading that letter out loud or not. But Orian started to drag me with him. And I didn’t have any other choice and left from there.

As I came back to my room, I told my servant to pack everything—all warm clothes, and just then I heard a knock on my door. My room’s door was open, still I glanced to see who it was, and Theron was standing there, folding his hands near his chest.

I stood up from there and quickly went over to the door. My servant was still packing my luggage, and I stood beside Theron.

"What are you doing here, Theron?"

"I heard that you and Orian are also coming with us to our pack. So I came here to check if you are packing any warm clothes or not. If you have forgotten, I am here to remind you."

I stretched my hand and touched Theron’s shoulder. "I remember everything. And can I ask you a favor?"

"Yeah, of course. Anything."

"Then can you bend down a little?"

Theron bent down, and I whispered in his ear what I wanted to ask from him.

Since we were leaving in the evening, and that was today, and we had to hurry, after whispering to him, Theron left from there, and I told my servants to pack something to eat too, because who knows—on the way, if we get hungry.

After my packing was done, I stepped out from my room and went into Orian’s. He was still packing. But his face was looking kind of sad right now too. I guess he is still upset about Meyer.

"Orian, are you done packing?" As I asked, his attention finally turned to me, and he tried to smile, looking at me, but he couldn’t smile. Because when he was feeling this pain in his heart, how could he force a full smile?

"Silas, don’t tell me you’ve already packed everything."

"Yep, I did. I told my servant what to do. Why didn’t you tell your servant instead of packing yourself?" I started to help Orian pack everything that was needed. And when I helped, then he was packing all the stuff. And we both even chose which clothes we were going to wear.

"Orian, can I ask you something, if you don’t mind?" I asked while hesitating, because the way Orian had cried, I didn’t want to reopen his wound, but I wanted to know what happened between him and Meyer.

"Did you have a fight with Meyer? Is that the reason you were telling Dad to find you a new Alpha? Or did anything else happen? Just share with me, Orian."

As I said that, he put down everything that was in his hand and sat down on the bed while looking down.

"Yesterday, I had to run away from Meyer and meet someone in the town. That Alpha needed help, and as a Prince of this pack, I helped him. And Meyer saw that."

"He was scolding me, saying why did I help him—I shouldn’t have looked at another Alpha, I only need to look at him. We both were walking, it started to rain,but by then we had reached his home. But then suddenly..."

He went silent after saying "then suddenly." What happened? I was curious. My curiosity is gonna kill me one day.

"Orian, what happened after that?"

"Nothing. Let’s just stop talking about this matter."
