Mated to Four Alphas -
Chapter 140: Lupin pack - 35
Chapter 140: Lupin pack - 35
Lysnder’s POV
Half an hour ago, when Silas was resting, we were sitting on the sofa. Just then, this kid said he was hungry, wanted to eat something, and started calling us dad and papa.
We knew the kid didn’t have parents, which was why he called us that.
That’s when Brother Theron suggested that we should go out to get something to eat, but we didn’t know the way.
So, we went with the soldiers in their car. Of course, they knew the way around here.
Now, we’re sitting in the back seat with my brother. I’m in the middle, with Kael beside me and Brother Theron on my other side.
The kid is sitting on Brother Theron’s lap. The two soldiers are in the front, and one of them is driving.
As I glanced at Kael, my mind kept asking me the same question: Why did Kael come here following Silas?
I know he doesn’t like Silas—he always says mean things to him—so why bother to follow him?
But I can’t deny the fact that because Kael is here, Silas is safe. I’m not saying Silas is weak, but having Kael around is reassuring.
I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I want to return quickly. This pack isn’t my type—I only like my own pack.
When I go back, I’m going to tell my fans what’s happened here. My life felt like it was in danger.
But right now, my stomach is growling. I’m starving, but I can’t say it out loud because I’m an adult now. Just as I was thinking about food, I felt a touch on my hand.
I glanced at Brother Theron, but it wasn’t him. Then I looked down. It was that kid who had touched me.
"Yes, kiddo, what happened?" I asked.
"Dad... why did only we come here? Why didn’t Mumma come with us?" he asked.
"He was tired; that’s why he didn’t come. But don’t worry, we’ll go back to him soon after grabbing the food," I replied, ruffling the kiddo’s hair before looking ahead.
"We’ll get everything that Mumma and Dadda like, okay? Because Dadda is also staying with Mumma, so he must be hungry too."
Aww, this kid is so cute! And if I’m not wrong, he’s calling Brother Damon "Dadda"... Wow, it’s adorable seeing this kid call us his fathers when all four of us brothers are single.
I smiled at the kid and then turned my gaze forward.
While looking forward, I noticed the soldier driving was glancing back repeatedly through the rearview mirror.
I found it strange because we are all Alphas here, even the kid. So, what was he trying to look at?
I decided to ignore it, thinking maybe he was just curious because of our conversation. Honestly, I would have liked to sit by the window, but they threw me into the middle seat, and now I feel nauseous.
I glanced at Kael. "I feel like throwing up. Can you change seats with me? If I sit by the window, I might feel better."
"Huh? You’ve grown up this much, and you still get carsick if you don’t sit by the window? Idiot!" Kael scoffed.
"Kael, change seats with me right now, or I’ll throw up on you," I threatened.
In the end, he had no choice but to swap seats with me. I quickly moved to the window seat while he took my spot.
As soon as I sat by the window, I felt much better. The fresh air was refreshing, and I enjoyed watching the view outside.
There were new things to see, like a sign that said, "Welcome to Okaru." Wait, are we near Okaru? But I don’t see any shops here. As far as I know, Okaru is where all the restaurants are.
I thought the sign meant we were near Okaru, but then, ten minutes later, I saw the same "Welcome to Okaru" sign again. That felt strange because we had already seen it. How could we see it again?
I started paying attention to our surroundings and realized we were going in circles, passing the same place repeatedly.
"Excuse me, stop the car right now!" I grabbed the front seat from behind and demanded. The soldier turned back, looking confused.
"What happened, your highness?" he asked.
"Didn’t you hear me? Stop the car right now!" I repeated firmly.
As soon as they stopped, I tried to open the door, but it was locked.
"Do I have to say it again to unlock the door?" I snapped.
They quickly unlocked it, and I stepped out without closing the door. I looked at Kael and Brother Theron.
"Please come out of the car right now."
They both gave me puzzled looks, but still, without questioning, they stepped out. The two soldiers followed us outside.
I glanced around, trying to understand what was going on. Why were we circling the same area repeatedly?
"Lysander, is something wrong?" Brother Theron asked, the kid still in his arms.
I wasn’t entirely sure what was off, but I didn’t want to take any risks. When we asked the soldier at the hospital, they said the restaurant was only 15 minutes away, yet it’s been over half an hour, and we’re still circling the same area. It feels like we’re not even moving forward.
"Something is off, Brother," I replied.
Brother Theron started looking around, and Kael was glaring at the soldiers. When I noticed him staring, I realized the soldiers were now glaring at us too—like we were their enemies. Their expressions had been normal before, but now they looked hostile. Why?
It was indeed suspicious and strange.
I took a step toward the soldiers, standing right in front of them. They glared at me as if I had done something wrong.
"Where are we right now? Care to explain? You said it was only 15 minutes away, but it’s been over 30 minutes, and we haven’t reached the restaurant," I questioned firmly.
