Chapter 129: Lupin pack - 24

Damon’s POV

After sending Silas to the Lupin Pack, I got a message from Kael saying that he was also going somewhere to get motivation for his paintings. Well, it was nothing new. He always goes somewhere for inspiration.

But then, just a day later, Theron and Lysander barged into my office, their faces filled with worry.

As I glanced at them, they both came and sat on the chairs in front of me.

"Mr. Damon, we are not able to reach Silas. He’s alright, right?"

I knew Lysander was close to Silas, but I didn’t know Theron was also close to him since he came here as well. My eyes stayed on them as I shut down my laptop and adjusted my glasses.

"I’m sure he just wasn’t paying attention since he was on a flight, or maybe there was some kind of network issue," I explained to them.

But after hearing me, both of their eyebrows raised as they glanced at each other. Then, Theron placed his hand on the desk and leaned forward.

"What do you mean by ’in the flight’? Where did Silas go? Did he leave for a shoot or something?"

"Theron, it was me who sent him to the Lupin Pack for the next three months until all the rumors about him die down."

As I said that, I looked at them. Their faces were filled with disbelief, like they couldn’t believe what I had just said.

And suddenly, Theron slammed both his hands on the table as he stood up. His eyes were red, and there was rage on his face. He was staring straight at me.

"Are you kidding me right now? You sent Silas to another pack for three months? Have you lost your mind?"

Theron, who was always a calm and composed person, was now raising his voice against me? This was unlike him. I had never seen Theron get angry at me or any of our brothers.

"Theron, how did you become this aggressive?" I asked.

"Damon, I can also ask the same. When did you become this selfish person?"

Huh? What is he saying? When did I become a selfish person? What did I do?

"Both of you please shut up. And, Mr. Damon, tell me, when did you send him there?"

As Lysander asked, stopping both of us, I replied, "Yesterday."

They both wanted to go to the Lupin Pack, and as an elder brother, I couldn’t send them alone. So, I was ready to go with them.

But when I tried to book the flight, I found that all the flights to the Lupin Pack were canceled due to the heavy weather forecast.

After that, I picked up my phone and dialed the number to ask them to get our personal jet ready. While I was doing that, they both kept looking at me, as if they wanted to confirm whether I had actually arranged for our jet or not.

I knew it was nothing serious, even if Silas didn’t pick up the call, but both of them were so worried, like something was going to happen to him.

After an hours, when we reached there, the scene at the airport made me a little worried. The whole airport was empty. No one was there.

How could this be possible?

Then I remembered—right, all the flights were canceled. So, of course, there wouldn’t be anyone at the airport.

As we stepped forward, we saw that everything was broken—every decoration, every object shattered into pieces. This didn’t look like a normal scene at all.

"What the hell is all this?" I murmured while stepping forward.

They both were following behind me as I walked ahead. The further we went, the silence grew deeper, sending eerie, creepy vibes through the air.

And just then, a faint growl reached my ears. As soon as I heard it, I was on guard, my eyes scanning every corner, trying to find where that sound had come from.

And just then—

"Aaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuu!"

A howl echoed through the air.

As soon as we heard that howling, the three of us started glancing around. And then, we saw it—first, the sharp claws coming toward us, followed by four strong legs.

It was a wolf.

And not just any ordinary wolf. From the way it moved, from the look in its eyes, it was clear—it was on the hunt.

"What the fúck is this now, Damon? How come there are wolves here? Is it a full moon today or something?"

When I heard Theron, it suddenly hit me—yes, no one can shift unless it’s a full moon. Then how come there are wolves standing in front of us?

Are they like us?

I mean, we four brothers have special abilities that we inherited from our ancestors. This ability exists only in our Blood Fang Pack—only in our father and us. We can shift anytime, anywhere, without needing to wait for the full moon.

But we have never let this truth leave our pack.

Because this special ability is the main reason why our pack is the strongest.

But only Theron and I know about this shifting ability. We haven’t told Lysander and Kael about it yet because there hasn’t been a reason to.

But I was planning to tell them in the future.

"Brother Theron, what are we gonna do about this situation now?"

Lysander asked as Theron stepped in front of him to protect him.

We can’t let our youngest get hurt. And I don’t care who our opponents are—once they try to mess with us, they will have to die.

I took off my glasses and handed them over to Theron since I couldn’t fight those wolves in my human form.

No matter how powerful I am like this, those wolves could tear us apart too easily.

"Damon, are you sure you’re gonna do this? We can try to fight them in this form too," Theron said.

I glanced at him, but before I could respond, more wolves appeared, surrounding us in a circle.

We were now standing in the middle of it.
