Chapter 101: Party - 7••

Silas’s POV

As I was hugging Jeren—

Clap. Clap. Clap.

The sound of slow clapping made me break the hug. I turned to see Kael standing beside us, his eyes filled with pure disgust.

"So you are really having an affair with this old man. No wonder he was taking your side earlier..." He sneered before letting out a chuckle.

"Now I get it. How you got that role in the drama—you must’ve sucked up to your sugar daddy, and he handed it to you, right?"

I know he hates me, but what he was saying right now was beyond all limits. How can someone be this shameless, talking to me like this?

And does he really think I’m going to tolerate this kind of behavior? He’s no better than that couple.

I was already feeling pathetic, but the moment I heard his words, all those emotions vanished. Now, there was only one thing I felt—

I wanted to kill him.

"What are you looking at me for? And yes, I know the real reason you came into our house after trapping Mom—because you’re a greedy leech. But your plan failed since I never showed any interest in you."

"But I don’t know how you seduced my brother, got into his company as an artist, and now you’re clinging to another Alpha too... Don’t you feel like you’re just taking advantage of being an Omega?"

I took a step toward him. As I approached, he looked at me, unsure of what I would do next.

Then, without hesitation, I slapped him—hard.

I put all my strength into that slap because I wasn’t feeling weak anymore.

His eyes turned red, and his facial expression twisted in anger. It was clear that taking a slap from an Omega had wounded his pride.

He raised his hand to slap me back, but just then—

"Kael, what are you doing?"

I heard Damon’s voice, sharp and commanding.

Glancing back, I saw him stepping out of the restroom, his phone still pressed against his ear.

He rushed over to us, his expression dark with anger.

"Kael, is this how I taught you? To hit an Omega?"

"Brother, you don’t know! He hit me first! Just because he’s an Omega, should I take his beating without defending myself?" Kael argued, his face still burning from my slap.

Hearing Kael, Damon glanced at me, his gaze sharp.

"Why did you hit him?"

I didn’t hesitate and told him everything—every disgusting word Kael had spat about me and Jeren. If he dared to mess with me, then it was my duty to teach him a lesson.

Damon’s expression remained unreadable as he listened to the whole story.

I told him the truth because, after all, I had hit his brother—he at least needed to know what kind of mistake his brother had made.

"So you were hugging Jeren... Do you seriously like him or something? You rejected me from hugging you, but here you are, hugging a man much older than you."

My eyes widened as Damon’s words reached my ears. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. After I told him the whole truth, this was what he focused on?

Before I could respond, Jeren grabbed Damon’s collar, slammed him against the wall, and punched him in the face. Damon didn’t hold back either—he punched Jeren right back.

They were about to continue fighting, but I quickly grabbed Jeren’s hand to stop him.

"Damon, before spouting nonsense, you should think about the consequences of your words." Jeren said.

"Now you’re going to lecture me?" Damon scoffed.

"Who is in his forties and still chasing after an 18-year-old omega? You should feel ashamed."

Jeren’s fist flew again, landing another punch on Damon’s face.

"If you dare to say one more disgusting word about my relationship with Silas, I swear I’ll kill you right here," Jeren growled.

"You haven’t seen my anger yet, but for Silas, I’m more than ready to show it."

I quickly grabbed Jeren’s hand again, my voice firm.

"Mr. Jeren, don’t fight because of me."

Suddenly, Kael hurriedly left, and seeing him go, Damon shot me a glare before running after his brother.

I stood there, shocked. Someone had fought because of me. And from Damon’s reaction, it was clear—he wasn’t happy that I had slapped his brother.

But what frustrated me the most was that he didn’t care about what his brother had said to me. He only cared about what I was doing with Jeren.

Jeren is like my father’s age. How could Damon and Kael even think that I was in a relationship with him? They’ve both gone mad.

I think I’ve trapped myself in another mess when I signed that contract with Damon. Looking back, it was probably the stupidest decision I’ve ever made.

Then, I noticed the bruise on Jeren’s cheek from the punch.

"Mr. Jeren, your cheek... I think we should go to the hospital now."

"No, Silas, I’m fine," he said, shaking his head.

"And I don’t think we should meet or talk anymore. Because of me, people are saying disgusting things about you. They’re questioning your character."

"And I don’t want that. So explain everything to Damon later when he calms down. I’m sure he’ll understand you."

He thinks all of this is happening just because he’s talking to me and meeting with me.

But no, it’s the fault of those people’s disgusting minds for seeing us together and assuming such things.

And as for Damon... I’m not going to explain anything to him. Because there’s nothing left to say.

The way Damon behaved and spoke to me today made it clear that he wasn’t ready to listen to anything.

He had already assumed that something was going on between Jeren and me.

After that, I left the party. Jeren had already left after talking to me, and I wasn’t in the mood to stay any longer.

As I stepped outside, I saw Atlas already standing there. He must have been waiting for me.

Seeing me, Atlas walked over and called a taxi for me to leave. He also got in.
