Chapter 52: Episode 7 Black Dragon_3

The giant dragon smacked its lips and used its barbed tongue to push the chain armor into its mouth. A wisp of blue smoke rose from the armor, and within less than three breaths, the armor and severed hand turned into a pool of red-black gel, which was swallowed down the dragon’s throat.

"Such strong corrosion ability," Lynch estimated. This giant dragon must be at least five hundred years old, and if it got angry, it could easily flatten a city.

The dragon took another step forward, and one of its four sharp claws had already landed within the bounds of the Golden Hall. The black dragon armor easily pierced the Mithril platform and then stabbed into the stone-paved ground. From the area its claw damaged, a pungent green smoke rose, emitting a sizzling sound as it slowly began to dissolve.

The giant dragon obviously noticed the anomaly here because, in its view, its claw had disappeared before it, yet it could clearly feel the sensation of piercing metal. It hesitated for a moment, then suddenly widened its eyes and stood up straight; its two black fleshy wings fully spread, completely filling the background of the entire scene. The whole black dragon now stood entirely in the shadow cast by its own wings, with only two yellow points of light, which were the eyes of the Black Dragon.

A wave of impact struck the heart of everyone present. They felt the contempt in the dragon’s eyes, the gaze of a predator at its prey. Everyone felt like a pitiful lamb lying on its back on the ground, with no strength left to struggle, while a lion leisurely and relaxedly approached, gently brushing its claws past the lamb’s carotid artery. The sharp fingertips lightly grazed the fragile skin, leaving a burning, stinging sensation. The lion opened its mouth, revealing teeth gleaming with a cold light, gazing at the lamb before biting down.

The Dwarves couldn’t withstand this atmosphere symbolizing slaughter, the fear before death quickly crushed their will. Many Dwarves fell straight to the ground, foaming at the mouth and unconscious; those who remained mostly cowered on the ground, arms wrapped around themselves, tears streaming down their faces, trembling uncontrollably yet unable to utter a sound.

The dragon lifted its head and took a deep breath. Lynch even saw a cloud sucked into its nostrils. The Black Dragon eyed its surroundings again with a sidelong glance, suddenly swinging its neck downward while opening its mouth wide. A black-purple pillar of energy shot straight toward Lynch.

Although Lynch could barely stand, he was also enduring the powerful pressure of the Black Dragon’s might. Now, moving his eyeballs was the only action he could take.

The other seven pillars of the transporter finally couldn’t withstand their own vibrations and exploded all at once.

The image of the giant dragon suddenly inverted, twisted for a moment, then vanished. The pillar of energy shot out from the transport platform but was redirected, flying toward the ceiling of the Golden Hall.

A hole with a radius of six meters was directly dug out of the solid rock layer by the energy pillar. Blue-purple liquid dripping from the hole burned through the floor, creating one small hole after another.

The oppressive feeling of the dragon’s might disappeared, and Lynch sat heavily on the ground. Large beads of sweat dripped from his hairline, quickly soaking through his entire robe. Except for his refined gold arm, the mage’s whole body trembled uncontrollably: "That was too close..."
