Chapter 234: Episode 85 Chain_2

The Martial Monk furrowed his brow, his gaze becoming solemn. He watched the three female Dark Elves racing swiftly past him without taking action. Suddenly, as if formulating a plan, a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Martial Monk Regula’s body floated out instantly, moving through the air like a ghost. This eerie speed stunned both the spell-casting female Drow and Zilvra. The Martial Monk seemed to not even need to move his feet to accelerate to this terrifying degree.

Before any of the Dark Elves present could react, Regula’s palm had already pressed against the forehead of the spell-casting Drow. A flash of white light burst through the room, flooding it with brightness, and only the sound "clang!" was heard as a Drow’s head flew into the air.

The Martial Monk’s hand chop was as sharp as a blade, yet as powerful as a heavy hammer. Taking advantage of the momentary blindness caused by the white flash to those present, the Martial Monk leaped back at the same high speed, delivering two palm strikes that landed on the backs of the necks of two Drow.

Zilvra wasn’t a full Dark Elf; the bright light didn’t affect her much. After a brief dizziness, her vision was restored, just in time to see the Monk attacking the two others.

Zilvra had to admit, that even if she did it herself, she could only attack once in the same period. Such nimble moves and rapid strikes could be considered a fantastical martial art, even more potent than the typical "Gale Continuous Strike."

While thinking this, her hand didn’t stop, as her thin sword accurately pierced the throat of the last assailant. Just like the time she stabbed Lynch, this thrust was silent, and the Drow who hadn’t yet recovered his sight had no idea how he was attacked.

Drawing the sword, hitting the target, holding the sword in front of her, Zilvra looked at the Monk and asked, "Regula, why did you help me kill these people?"

The Martial Monk did not answer the question. He tucked his hands into his sleeves and said with a smile, "Zilvra, are you going to find that Mage named Lynch?"

"This has nothing to do with you. First, answer my question!" Zilvra tried to respond without showing emotion, but a slight blush of excitement on her white face did not escape the Monk’s notice.

"It’s normal for me to help you, because long ago you also helped me." The Martial Monk continued to smile and said, "Whether you admit it or not, when you see Lynch, tell him I handled this matter for him and did not stand in his way. Let him remember his promise—I will go find him. ’We’ will go find him."

"What are you talking about? I don’t understand what you mean!" Zilvra initially turned to leave but, since this matter involved Lynch, it might also relate to her leaving the Underdark; she couldn’t help but feel concerned.

"Miss Zilvra, there’s really nothing important. You just need to repeat my words." The Martial Monk pointed to the door, "Now, there might be more assassins coming for you. I suggest you leave quickly instead of listening to my nonsense. Remember, Lynch is in the Black Crystal Tower, which is already public knowledge."

Without a word, Zilvra turned and vanished in the corridors of the First House. She wasn’t using her slow levitation magic at all, but relying on her strong leg muscles to leap through the passages quickly past gaps and hallways. Contrary to her expectations, the entire base was eerily quiet, and she found no more enemies coming for her. In no time, she had left the castle itself, disappearing into the night of Ratris City.

Martial Monk Regula looked out the window of the room, his vision barely catching a shadow departing from the First House. He smiled, turned around, and left Zilvra’s room.

At the doorway, stood another person—a female Drow. She held a dagger and stood before the Martial Arts Master: "Did the Matron really not give the order to kill?"

This Dark Elf was none other than Sinaphi, often seen with the eldest daughter, Zarra. They were once very "close," but since Zarra became a Spider Elf, Regula had long suspected that it was Sinaphi who betrayed Zarra.
