The ceremonial music started, and Old Berth, having deliberately changed into a festive crimson and purple suit, began delivering the wedding speech as the officiant.

Xiao Jinsheng and Li stood hand in hand on the stage, yet her gaze constantly darted toward the main entrance below the stage.

Li gently tugged on her hand, softly reminding her, "Stay focused. The groom is right in front of you."

"But those things..." Xiao Jinsheng’s voice faltered; unable to contain her inner agitation, she turned her head once again toward the audience below the stage.

And there they were—meeting her eyes were rows upon rows of black-robed demons, neatly seated in unison, all staring upward at them with emoji-styled masks on their faces.

"Those things..." Xiao Jinsheng looked at the audience below, which featured at least 20,000 expression memes, her shoulders trembling as she struggled to suppress laughter.

"Be serious; we’re getting married," Li reminded her.

He stared straight at Xiao Jinsheng, resolutely avoiding a glance below the stage.

Xiao Jinsheng reached out directly, turning his face toward the audience below.

"Look! Why don’t you dare open your eyes?" Xiao Jinsheng demanded with barely contained amusement.

Li kept his eyes tightly shut, refusing to look at the crowd of meme-faced guests below.

Among the three on the stage, Old Berth, the officiant, was the only one maintaining composure.

He kept a composed expression, an air of joy radiating from his demeanor as he proceeded with the ceremony.

"I now ask the couple to exchange rings."

Realizing it was now one of the most important moments of her wedding, Xiao Jinsheng reluctantly stopped insisting that Li look at the meme-faced guests below.

Two black-robed, masked dwarfs stepped forward, ceremoniously presenting the ring boxes as they took up positions on either side of Xiao Jinsheng and Li.

Within the scarlet velvet boxes lay two rings—a large and a small one—adorned with simplified engravings of Chaos Beasts surrounding pigeon-blood ruby gemstones.

As Li gently took her hand and carefully slid the ring onto her ring finger, Xiao Jinsheng noticed something extraordinary about the jewelry.

From within the ruby shone a dense, concentrated power of a Star Stone.

She exclaimed in astonishment, "This is a Star Stone?"

"Mhm," Li responded with a soft chuckle, "crafted from 520 Nine-Star Star Stones."

Xiao Jinsheng immediately felt that her hand wearing the ring had become incredibly heavy.

Li sighed, sounding regretful, "I had hoped to collect 1,314 of them, but over a dozen years, I could only find a little over 1,000 Nine-Star Mutant Beasts and Fog Corpses— and not all of them carried Star Stones."

"Enough, enough! 520 is already more than enough!" Xiao Jinsheng quickly interjected.

The higher the Star Level of a Mutant Beast, the more likely one is to drop a Star Stone of the same level, but even then, it’s not guaranteed.

Even if they did drop one, it would always only be a single stone.

To slay over a thousand Nine-Star Mutant Beasts just to gather 520 stones—Xiao Jinsheng couldn’t even begin to fathom how dangerous the Mist Continent must have been at that time, where one might encounter Nine-Star Mutant Beasts and Fog Corpses right out the door.

The ceremony continued. Under Old Berth’s guidance, just as Xiao Jinsheng picked up the wedding ring meant for Li, he had already extended his hand toward her, lifting his ring finger.

With a smile, Xiao Jinsheng slid the ring onto his finger under his expectant gaze.

Old Berth, with all the emotion of an eloquent speaker, recited the blessings, smiling benevolently at the couple: "Now, the groom may kiss his bride."

The meme-faced guests below the stage erupted in a chorus of gasps and cheers of excitement.

Li gently lifted Xiao Jinsheng’s veil, and just as it cascaded around the two of them, he leaned in for the kiss, lowering himself toward her.

At that very instant, the grand hall’s doors were blasted open from the outside.

Five tall figures, shrouded in a menacing aura, appeared in the doorway, silhouetted against the light.

Yu Yunxiao glared at the two on the stage and bellowed, "No kissing allowed!"

Xiao Jinsheng looked at the group in astonishment, unable to call out to them before Li cupped her face, gently turning her head back. He leaned down with tender affection and kissed her.

One of Li’s hands intertwined with Xiao Jinsheng’s left hand, their fingers laced together where her ring glimmered. His other hand pressed gently against the back of her head as he maneuvered her to face away from the grand hall doors.

During the passionate kiss, Li’s crimson eyes flicked past Xiao Jinsheng’s cheek, locking gazes with Mo Jiao and the others at the door, brimming with deliberate provocation.

In an instant, the five figures exploded in fury, unleashing their powers as they charged forward.

Xiao Jinsheng pushed Li away, spinning around and spreading her arms wide to block him. "We’re all on the same side! No fighting!"

All five men abruptly halted their attacks. Yu Yunxiao, his eyes reddened, accused her, "We haven’t even signed the divorce papers, and you’re already rushing to be with him!"

Compared to Yu Yunxiao’s questioning, Mo Jiao was far more direct.

Charging onto the stage, he seized Xiao Jinsheng’s wrist. "Without a valid reason, I refuse to agree to the divorce."

Huaiqing placed his copy of the divorce agreement back into Xiao Jinsheng’s hands and said, "You may have forgotten, but our relationship goes beyond marriage—we’ve also formed a Contractual Totem."

Xiao Jinsheng immediately remembered the impulsive moment back then, when, out of spite toward Bai Yan—and knowing Bai Yan’s goal was to seduce her Beast Husband—she had kissed all five of her Beast Husbands in succession out of sheer defiance.

Que Zelian and Su Ye had already slept with her, so a kiss was just a kiss.

But with Huaiqing, Mo Jiao, and Yu Yunxiao, they hadn’t even forged a deeper bond, and yet she had brazenly kissed them too.

Xiao Jinsheng guiltily avoided Huaiqing’s gaze, her mind torn between emotions.

Below the stage, the black-robed, meme-faced dwarfs glared hostilely at the five intruding men, muttering among themselves.

"Who are they?"

"Clearly not decent people—they’re here to snatch the Lady of the Territory."

"It’s been so hard for the Demon Territory to finally have a mistress, and now they dare to steal her?"

"Brothers, what do we do?"

"Let’s beat them!"

"Yeah, beat them!"

The black-robed dwarfs proclaimed righteously, unsheathing scythes two meters long as they prepared to attack Mo Jiao and the others.

Li’s gaze flicked toward the leading black-robed dwarf, his tone emotionless: "Stand down."

"Oh, okay." The black-robed dwarfs instantly lost their fighting spirit.

Weapon after weapon was put away as they retreated to the walls and disappeared through them.

In the grandiose hall, silence settled once more, leaving only the seven figures—six men and one woman—arguing on the stage.

"I didn’t expect that after refusing to sign, you would brazenly barge in here and ruin my wedding." Li’s voice was low and hostile. "I’m sorry, but I fail to understand why you’re so adamantly against the divorce."

"Is it love? Do you love her?"

Li pressed on, his lips curling into a mocking grin. "If it’s love, I can’t imagine ruining the happiest moment of the woman I love—her most important wedding day."

"Clearly, what you feel for her isn’t love."

"So your refusal to divorce—either you’re after some personal gain, or you simply can’t swallow the humiliation of being dumped."

"Gentlemen, tell me I’m wrong." Li chuckled softly.

Yu Yunxiao, infuriated by the twisted logic, exploded: "You’re the one who brought up the divorce papers, manipulating..."

"Enough." Que Zelian cut Yu Yunxiao off, motioning for him to look at Xiao Jinsheng.

Sure enough, fear and doubt were written in Xiao Jinsheng’s eyes as she looked at them now.

"Mr. Li, you’re quite clever." Huaiqing adjusted his glasses, his aquamarine gaze meeting Li’s provocative stare before shifting to a smile as he turned to address Xiao Jinsheng. "I would like to talk to you alone—if we’re going to divorce, I want clarity, to ensure no regrets remain from this relationship."

"The divorce papers are already signed. What more is there to talk about?" Li clung tightly to Xiao Jinsheng, his voice cold.

"Xiao Jinsheng has already signed the agreement. Mr. Li, if you truly love her, can’t you trust her enough to allow her a few moments alone with me?" Huaiqing asked with a faint smile.

Li’s expression darkened immediately.
