Maya immediately moved, with Lucy following her down the ladder. Maya’s reason for crouching was to observe the movements of the zombies in that direction. Only after Lin Wu killed a zombie, did Maya confirm that the zombies facing the ladder hadn’t been startled.

Lin Wu threw down three Beast Traps and retreated to the ladder as zombies entering the room had detected him, growling and running towards him. The noise they made attracted even more zombies. Players must distance themselves from the noise source to shake off the zombies.

Lin Wu slid down the ladder, while Maya led Lucy back into the middle of the street, where they crouched behind a car. Maya, holding a crossbow, aimed at the ladder entrance. Despite the distance, Maya still managed to shoot the first arriving zombie in the head.

Lin Wu quickly ran to Maya’s side and aimed, taking down two more zombies. After dealing with them, the following zombies remained on the ladder, having lost the trail of their prey.
