Chapter 353: I feel like Geumtae will ask Eunwoo to resign...
Days passed with the twins keeping up their vigilance. There was no way of knowing if their uncle was going to strike or where he would strike from.
They kept their guard up and also focused on their work.
Dongwoo buried his head in work as well, hoping the peace would last as it was.
He kept in touch with Miss Allegra, and from time to time, they would meet up alone.
They were supposed to pick a date where they would all meet so she could have dinner with the twins since they would definitely not want to meet up with her of their own volition.
Dongwoo was the key to this wish being fulfilled, so he carefully selected a date when they could all be available to have dinner together.
But it wasn’t anytime soon as their schedule was a bit packed. The twins had a lot going on for them. They would have to fly out of the country for a fashion show so Minwoo and Dongwoo would go with them, along with a few other crew members.
And after that, there was that advertisement gig they were being paid handsomely for. So, all focus needed to be on their work in the meantime.
Miss Allegra did not mind. So long she would eventually have the chance to share a peaceful and normal meal with her boys, she wouldn’t mind waiting a while longer.
And like that, two months passed and they were at the end of October. They didn’t even realize that the time had gone by so fast because they were so busy, but because of this, Miss Allegra probably had to stay in the country a bit longer.
But the most suspicious thing was that Alejandro had not made a move, not even one.
It did feel like someone was spying on them whenever he was with Minwoo but they never came forward.
Everything was just so peaceful and nothing was heard from Song Haijin either, which was even more suspicious.
This made him think of the calm before the storm and it was quite scary. Who knew what would happen once the storm came down?
"Whew," Dongwoo stretched his arms and relaxed on his chair. "It’s time to head home." He mumbled and then got a notification on his phone.
He picked it up and saw it was a message from Geumtae.
There was a sudden development that he did not see coming with Geumtae and Eunwoo. He was happy for them but for it to happen all of a sudden just took him aback.
It all started on that night as well. And though he kept wondering what had transpired between them, he never really saw it necessary to ask.
So long they were both happy, it didn’t matter.
"Sweetie, can you give my honey two more days off?" Geumtae sent in his texts, accompanied by a pleading emoticon, and Dongwoo sighed.
Plus, Geumtae seemed to be completely smitten by Eunwoo which hindered Eunwoo’s work.
’I feel like Geumtae will ask Eunwoo to resign so he can be the one to take care of him while he stays by his side all day.’ Dongwoo thought. ’I wonder how Eunwoo feels about this.’
He started typing a reply.
"Sure. But don’t break Eunwoo’s back before he gets back. And don’t forget we have to eat dinner with Miss Allegra tonight. So, don’t be late."
He dropped his phone and sighed.
They were finally going to have that dinner, but it wouldn’t be just Miss Allegra, the twins, himself, and Minwoo. Apparently, Minwoo was taking Sungho with him, and Geumtae and Eunwoo were going to attend as well.
Someone else might crash in but for the moment, those were the only ones he was aware of.
He noticed his door opening and raised his head to find Seojin walking in with a little smile on his lips.
"Hyung, I’m here." he called happily, and Dongwoo got up, walked up to him, and hugged him. "Hyung?"
"It’s alright. I just need to replenish my energy." Dongwoo said, sinking into the embrace and Seojin smiled again, patting his back.
"Do you feel better now?"
"Not yet. Let’s stay like this a little longer." Dongwoo said, and of course, Seojin had no complaints.
He sank into Dongwoo’s scent and his warmth. If Seojun found out, he would be jealous, wouldn’t he?
Then, the door opened and Seojun walked in to find them in each other’s embrace. At first, he stayed silent but then sighed and said,
"Hyung, I think I’m drained." He approached them. "I need a hug too."
Seojin looked at his brother with a glazed look in his eyes and mouthed,
"Well played."
Dongwoo left Seojin’s embrace and went to Seojun.
"Alright," he hugged him. "Do you feel better?"
"Yes, Hyung. Let’s just stay like this for a while." He said and Dongwoo nodded, burying his face in Seojun’s arms.
Seojin went to sit and picked up an issued magazine with their faces in the front. There were a lot of such magazines on top of Dongwoo’s desk and anyone could tell that he was a real fan of them. He liked their faces.
’It’s October 27.’ he thought. ’Hyung’s birthday is in a month.’ he raised his gaze, and a warm feeling filled his chest.
He, along with his brother and those who cared for Dongwoo, were planning a special surprise for him. But they were acting slow so they wouldn’t seem suspicious.
Dongwoo had no idea what they were planning and he probably didn’t even remember that his birthday was coming up.
He said it before. He always remembered their birthday and made a wish unfailingly so they could have a happy and better life, and he never even remembered his own birthday.
For the years of dedication, he poured his whole heart into, they would make sure to pay him back with their heart as well. It wouldn’t come close to all he had done but at least... They hoped to touch his heart.
"Shall we start heading out?" Seojin asked, uncrossing his legs and standing up. "You’re more excited about this dinner than any of us, so let’s not waste any more time."
"Yes, you’re right." Dongwoo said, reluctantly breaking the hug. "Let’s start leaving."
