Chapter 354: Shall we head home?

That evening, they gathered at a five-star restaurant in a private booth. Aside from the people Dongwoo expected to be present, there were two more guests.

Jaehoo and Haejoo.

As soon as Allegra saw Haejoo, a certain feeling enveloped his heart, and so did Haejoo.

Looking at Allegra, he was almost moved to tears, but he couldn’t cry in front of his Juniors, so he strengthened his heart.

"How long has it been?" He subconsciously asked, taking a seat next to her and she shook her head gently.

"I don’t know." She looked at him and smiled. "You tell me."

Seojin and Seojun looked at them with a little irked and irritated expression.

"If you two want to get at it, get a room." Seojun said, picking up his chopsticks.

"You’ll spoil the atmosphere if you suddenly start acting like that. Be a little more restrained." Seojin added and then turned to Dongwoo. "Hyung, eat this." He gullibly dropped some meat on Dongwoo’s plate.

"This too." Seojun added, cutting up some fat, just like Dongwoo liked, and filled his plate.

"Thanks," Dongwoo smiled at them.

Everyone on the table stared at them and wondered who needed to act restrained if not them.

Well, it only gave rise to a warm feeling.

"Here, honey, have this." Geumtae said, burning the meat to Eunwoo’s mouth and though shy, he opened his mouth and ate it.

"It’s... Delicious." He said and Geumtae danced in his words.

"Then, have this too."

Jaehoo just couldn’t help but shake his head.

"What happened to the family gathering?" He muttered. "It’s basically a lover’s gathering at this point."

To his right were Sungho and Minwoo, also acting all lovely dovey. So, apparently, he was the only single dog there. And the youngest too, no doubt.

’But I guess I can work as the photographer since I don’t have anyone to feed.’ he thought, dropping his chopsticks and taking out his camera.

Since Eunwoo and Geumtae were finally a thing, Dongwoo kept to the end of his bargain and began to give Jaehoo photography lessons.

He was relatively better than how he started.

"Say cheese." He said, though no one heard him. He took a lot of pictures, sneaking into positions where he could get the best angles. "I think that should do it." He kept his camera and went to finally eat.

After the meal, Haejoo and Allegra went aside to talk. They hadn’t seen each other in forever so they probably had a lot to talk about.

Though things did not go the way Dongwoo wished they would, it was still a nice thing. Even if the twins did not bond with their mother during the meal, they still shared a meal and she was happy, being reunited with the man she loved.

"Shall we head home?" Seojin asked and he nodded.

"Yeah, let’s go."

He just wanted things to be as peaceful as they were.

A few days after the dinner, Dongwoo and Minwoo went to visit their therapist.

And once again, they felt so free-minded that they started walking back, hoping to take a stroll and chat. It was late so there were a few people out at that point

But then, while they walked, Minwoo noticed something.

"Hyung, someone’s following us." Minwoo said and Dongwoo was about to look back when Minwoo stopped him. "Wait, don’t look back. That’ll only alert them."

"Then, what should we do?" Dongwoo asked. "Are you sure it’s not just the eyes we’ve been feeling for a long time now?"

"I would’ve thought so too but this person is closer and..." He stopped and then continued walking, holding Dongwoo’s hand. "It’s Alejandro."

Dongwoo’s eyes widened. Was he serious? Alejandro?

He was tempted to look back and confirm it but he just couldn’t. What if he looked back and that gave Alejandro a reason to come out of the shadows and apprehend them?

"What do we do now?"

"Let’s cross the road. If it’s a red light as soon as we cross, he won’t be able to chase us. Come." They picked up the lace and got to the zebra crossing.

It was a green light, and people were crossing the road, but if they crossed while it was still green, he would chase after them right away.

So, just as the lights were about to turn red, Minwoo gave the signal,

"Let’s go."

But just then, Alejandro surfaced and grabbed Dongwoo’s hand.

Minwoo’s eyes widened and as he saw Alejandro’s smirk, his spine shivered.

Dongwoo stared at Alejandro and then frowned, remembering he was their enemy and the one he was after was probably Minwoo.

"Let me go!" He yelled. "I said let go."

"And why would I do that? You’d be the perfect hostage to keep the bunny in check." He said and then came Minwoo, who charged at him.

He lunged at Alejandro’s chest, barely pushing him back, and snatched Dongwoo’s hand out of his grip.

"Run." Minwoo said, but before he could, Alejandro grabbed his hand again. He also grabbed Minwoo.

He held them both and said,

"I’m not giving you up that easily, so you’re both coming with me."

Minwoo struggled, pounding Alejandro’s hand but his skin was so hard that his attempts were all soft.

"You’ll have to do better than that if you want to break out of my hold," Alejandro said and just then, Dongwoo implemented one of the moves the twins taught him.

No matter how hard his skin was, there was no way he would feel anything if someone sank their teeth into his arm.

So, he bit Alejandro so hard that he was prepared to tear off his skin, knowing their lives were on the line, and it worked.

"Why, you!" Alejandro got so pissed that he threw Minwoo aside first, so he could deal with Dongwoo.

But he made a mistake by not looking where he was throwing Minwoo and as he raised his fist in that split second, ready to hit Dongwoo, they heard a loud thud and the shrieking of a vehicle.

Dongwoo’s eyes rolled towards the road right away and as if moving in slow motion, he watched Minwoo’s body dropping to the floor along with fragments of glass from the truck that his body had slammed into.

The truck’s tire had shrieked till it came to a halt, but the commotion was loud enough to attract attention, and Dongwoo knew this was far from a nightmare. It was real.

Seeing what had happened, it was like a cord had snapped in Dongwoo’s head. His face contorted, watching his blood flow out of Minwoo’s that lay lifeless on the floor. He turned to Alejandra, yelling at the top of his lungs.

"What have you done?!"
