Yeonie was beyond speechless. She did not expect to be hit all of a sudden. She turned sharply to Sungho who was still speechless.

"What are you doing? Can’t you see he hit me? How can you stand there and watch him do this to me?"

"Ah, I..."

"How can he not stand there and watch me?" Minwoo interrupted. "After all, I am his ’Boyfriend’ and his ex was going to disrespect his boyfriend, so it’s only fair that he supports me, right?" He turned to Sungho whose eyes were glittering. ’What’s with him?’

"Boyfriend," Sungho repeated in a mumbled.

"Ah, I see." Minwoo raised his hand and touched his hair, shoving his fingers through softly, and asked, "Do you like the sound of that?"

"Yes," Sungho wrapped his arms around him, snuggling on his head. "very."

Minwoo eyed Yeonie, showing her there was no longer a place there for her and this infuriated her.

"Sungho, I’m going to give you one last chance." She said. "Hit him for me and I’ll come back to you. We’ll even get married like you wanted. So, go ahead and hit him."

Sungho went silent, his expression turning grim.

"Yeonie, I think I was wrong about you." He said. "Very wrong. And for a long time too," he walked up to her. "Your heart is very black, Yeonie."

Yeonie looked at the grim look in his eyes and shivered. That soft and good-looking guy who always ran after her, making sure to meet all her wishes and never leave her side, was glaring at her.

Glaring so hard that she felt he could stab her if she made a mistake.

"Ah, leave it to me." Minwoo said, gently pushing Sungho aside. "We’re going to let you leave right now but... If you dare spread rumors just because you feel spiteful about this whole thing, I will kill you." He glared deadly at her and she shivered in fear. "It won’t be my first time so even if the source doesn’t point back to you, so long as the news of Sungho seeing a man goes out, I will come after you, torture you by pulling your nails one at a time."

Yeonie stumbled back and fell on the floor. She looked up with teary eyes, hoping to appear pitiful in Sungho’s eyes and win his affection again but when she looked up, she found him staring at Minwoo.

His gaze stayed on Minwoo and they were filled with so much affection that she realized right away that she had lost.

But how could he...? How could he hold such affection for another man? And a dangerous one too.

How was he so blinded?

"Didn’t you..." She began to cry. "Didn’t you hear what he just said? He..." Sungho looked down at her as she began her pitiful display. "He said he’ll kill me. He’s going to kill me."

Sungho slowly squatted down and to her face, he said,

"If you make trouble, why not?" His words were cold and hard, and so was the look in his eyes. "He’s going to kill you if you try to make trouble for me and ruin my career." He suddenly smiled, showing off how proud he was. "Isn’t my boyfriend so cool?"

Yeonie lost all strength in her body. It was over, wasn’t it?

For the soft and caring guy who never hid his affection for her to say those cold words to her face, it only meant she had no chance with him anymore.

Not only did he not care that he might be a killer, but he did not care that he would kill her.

"So, will you keep your mouth shut?" Sungho asked. "Or would you want to get a last visit at night?"

They were scary, both of them and Yeonie began to cry heavily.

"I will, I will." She wailed. "I won’t say anything to anyone, I promise."

"Is that so?" Minwoo asked and she nodded frantically. "How come I don’t believe you? Should I just end you right now?"

Yeonie got on her knees and clutched his leg.

"I’m serious. I... I will never... I will never say a word to anyone, so please, l-let me go. I beg you."

Minwoo looked down at her. That haughty attitude was gone and was now replaced with a pitiful one. Wetin face filled with tears and snort from her nose. She didn’t even care for her image anymore.

"Alright," Minwoo said. "But first, you have to apologize to Sungho. He’s the one you hurt, not me."

Yeonie wasted no time turning to Sungho and apologizing as her life depended on it.

"Sungho, I’m sorry about everything. For breaking up with you like that and treating you like an object. I’m sorry for exploiting you and causing you to depend on me with emotional blackmail. I..." She sniffed. "I will disappear and never appear in front of you again, so please, forgive me."

She was desperate.

The words Minwoo said could very much be a bluff but she could not believe that it was a bluff when he looked so serious when threatening her. Someone who was bluffing could not pull that off in such a terrifying manner.

There was a devil behind him.

They let Yeonie go after that forced and desperate apology. It did not make Sungho feel better for all his wasted years but it did not make him feel bad either.

It was just there and he wished he would never set his eyes on her again.

"But you haven’t actually killed anyone before, have you?" Sungho asked for confirmation of his curiosity and Minwoo shrugged.

"Of course not. But I did almost kill a man once." He answered. "He was such an annoying waste of space that I would do the world a favor by wiping out his existence. But of course, I don’t have that kind of power. My frail body can only do so much, I guess."

Sungho suddenly hugged him and said,

"Thank you."

"Wow, you’ve been saying a lot of thank you since earlier." Minwoo said, touching his arm.

"It’s because you deserve it." He said which touched Minwoo’s heart.

So many things had been swirling these past few days, but he was glad it was all over and he ended up in the arms of the one he loved.

"Now, shall we continue from where we stopped?" He asked, attacking Sungho like a rabbit in heat.

"No, wait. Stop." Sungho struggled but of course, Minwoo had the upper hand, undressing him and also taking off his own clothes.

He sat on top of Sungho and then stopped, his face slowly melting in joy.

"Hey, what is it?" Sungho asked but Minwoo shook his head and said,

"It’s nothing. I’m just... So glad." He said and smiled. "I finally get to be with you. It makes me happy."

Sungho sat up and kissed Minwoo’s lips, muttering after the little parting.

"Me too." He said. "I’m so glad I can be with you, Minwoo. I love you."

Minwoo hugged him. Everything was falling into place. Happiness was no longer far away.
