Chapter 237: So, when did you guys start... you know, dating?
"Then Hyung," Seojin’s face suddenly turned serious as he got ready to bring out the question that would seem to decide the whole thing. "...did you accept him from your heart? Do you see him as your true brother?"
Dongwoo stared at them with glistening eyes and then nodded. He nodded so hard that they could tell it was a hard yes.
Their gaze turned to Minwoo who simply stared at Dongwoo.
"Then I guess that settles it." Seojin said. "Since Hyung accepts you as his brother, we’ll accept the fact."
"What? It’s not like you have a say on this." Minwoo said, folding his arms as he gave them the same response they gave to him. "Whether or not you do not approve of me, Hyung and I will still be brothers for life."
Oh, it was infuriating how he used their own words against them but it didn’t matter. As long as he stayed in his place and didn’t cause Dongwoo pain, they could put up with it.
"Then, no more tears." Seojun said. "Hyung, the moment he causes you to cry even just a little bit, I’ll forget that he’s your brother!" He declared, glaring at Minwoo who flinched in fright.
It was a dangerous glare and Minwoo could tell he meant his words literally.
"Now, now. I told you not to get violent for no reason." Dongwoo said. "And I promise, I will never cry for Minwoo ever again."
Seojin turned to Minwoo and said,
"Hyung has a soft heart. So whether or not it is intended, you may hurt him and if you do, pray we don’t find out." He had that same dangerous glare and Minwoo finally understood that this was not a joke.
He just might find himself five feet beneath the ground if that ever happened.
But... He inhaled and exhaled... That would never happen.
He didn’t plan to make Dongwoo cry, not now and not in the future either.
Then, Dongwoo leaned closer and whispered,
"We should probably bury that rooftop incident in our hearts." He whispered and Minwoo nodded.
"Good idea."
The twins watched them, wondering what they were muttering between themselves. It was suspicious but they let it go since Dongwoo was smiling.
Then, Dongwoo finally realized why their food was running late. They hadn’t ordered anything at all.
The waiter approached them when they first got there, but they had asked him to wait for their call as they hadn’t decided on anything yet and only had wine all along.
So frustrating.
Dongwoo quickly gave his order and they had to wait for the food to be ready, engaging in yet another awkward moment of silence.
At least now they weren’t trying to kill each other with their eyes.
But then, another round of questions commenced.
"So, when did you guys start... You know, dating?" Minwoo asked, attracting all their attention to him.
"Why’d you want to know that, Minwoo?" Dongwoo asked and Minwoo shrugged.
"Well, I’m just curious." He said and turned to the twins. "And I’m guessing they made the first move."
"Yeah, they did." Dongwoo answered, smiling. "But I did reject them at first." He looked towards the twins. "I just thought I wasn’t good enough and had too many shortcomings."
"Hm? You’re way better than them though." Minwoo said, not intending to spite but simply saying the thoughts in his mind.
To him, his brother was the best.
"Well, we can’t argue with that." The twins said simultaneously, and Minwoo raised his head in pride.
His brother was the best. At least those two knew it.
Then, the food finally arrived but just before they dug in, Minwoo’s phone rang.
He took it out and saw the caller to be his mother, so he stared, his eyebrows furrowing in angst.
"Is something wrong?" Dongwoo asked.
Minwoo, who originally planned to find his brother to ask for forgiveness and then return him to their family, was rethinking the second course of action.
He has reconciled with his brother but the part of taking him back to the family... Was that really a good idea?
His parents might have held Dongwoo in high regard and treasured him more than they did Minwoo but in the end, they were only glad to have a golden trophy which they could flaunt at all times.
A flawless and sparkling trophy. That was how they saw him and Minwoo didn’t want Dongwoo to return to that kind of life.
He was already happy as he was and Minwoo wanted him to be happier than he already was.
Besides, Dongwoo wasn’t like how he was in the past. Though he was brilliant at what he did, he didn’t look like he cared for finance or business-related issues, so he was no longer the kind of trophy his parents would be able to exhibit.
Going back to their parents would only take away his happiness and his source of joy.
There was no way they would let him be a mere photographer, he was sure of it.
Minwoo placed his phone on silent and then smiled at him.
"It’s nothing. I’ll answer later when I get home."
On his phone screen was stated Friday, the day his parents asked him to return. He was speculating. He didn’t want to go back to them. Not yet.
Not when all that was waiting for him was noise, noise... And more noise.
"Shall we eat?"
They all ate and when it was time to part ways, the twins did not fail to express their happiness that they would finally be able to get rid of him.
They had their hats on and dark shades as soon as they got outside. The people inside the restaurant might’ve been well behaved, but put in the streets, anything could happen.
"So, I guess this is goodbye for now." Dongwoo said, waving his hand lightly. "I’ll see you tomorrow, in the company."
"Yeah." Minwoo said but it did not look like he was going to move any moment.
"Anything else?" Dongwoo asked.
"Well," he stared at Dongwoo and then shook his head. He wanted to ask for a hug but realized that it might’ve been too soon. "It’s no-" his words were cut short when Dongwoo suddenly pulled him in for a hug.
This shocked the twins but they could only watch with their mouths wide open.
"I understand that look on your face all too well." He said, squeezing his arms a bit tighter. "It’s not too much for me to hug my brother." He said, and Minwoo, feeling joy and relief in his heart, hugged him back.
"What’s this? Why are you two hugging like it’s th end of the world?" Seojun asked. "You’ll still see each other at the company so knock it out already."
Dongwoo laughed and broke the hug.
"Seriously, mind your business for once." Minwoo muttered but it was loud enough for the twins to hear.
"It is our business." Seojin said, smiling in deceit. "So, hurry up and beat it."
"Hey, be nice." Dongwoo said and they both threw their faces in the air, sulking. "Minwoo, bye now. There’s not a lot of time yet so we need to get going."
At the mention of that, Minwoo realized he had yet to hand in his gift.
Minwoo took out the bag, handed it to him, and said,
"I almost forgot. The reason why I went to your place was to give this to you. I hope you like it."
Dongwoo looked at the bag and then inside the bag.
"What is it?" He asked and Minwoo smiled before saying,
"I hope time can be your friend."
"A watch?" Dongwoo immediately guessed it and Minwoo nodded.
"Yes. Well, I’ll get going now." He said but paused. He led Dongwoo to the corner, a few feet away from the twins, and whispered. "Between you and me, if you ever need tips on how to last longer in bed, just come to me and I’ll teach you everything."
Dongwoo’s face immediately heated up in embarrassment.
"Y-you... Where did that come from? And why..." He glanced at the twins, lowering his voice at the rest of his words. "Why would you want to give me tips on such a thing?"
Minwoo shrugged and said,
"Well, my brother has two Alpha males on his bed every night. I don’t want you to die from exhaustion or lack of stamina."
"Okay, that is enough from you. Get going." Dongwoo started pushing him away, urging him to get going already. "Shoo! Shoo!"
Minwoo laughed and then smirked.
"But I’m serious though. I’m an expert in that field so come to me."
"I can’t believe you feel so proud saying that." Dongwoo said, still getting flustered about the whole thing.
"It’s a fact so I can’t deny it." Minwoo said and finally left.
"Hyung," Seojun called as they approached. "What was that about? What were you two talking abo-?"
"Nothing!" Dongwoo immediately shot him up.
He did not want to think of that topic at all.
"Anyway, let’s get going." He said and started walking ahead, hoping this would stop them from asking further.
The twins exchanged glances and shrugged their shoulders.
"Wait up, Hyung."
They hurried after him and walked beside him. They weren’t going to ask but by the look on Dongwoo’s face, they knew it had something to do with sex for him to be so flustered. They just didn’t know what the question was.
