Chapter 238: Shinwoo was... not exactly a good person

The next day was Saturday, the day where most people would like to take a break and usually get it, but not when you’re working in the entertainment industry that’s always bustling and hustling, and with a lot of competition too.

And this Saturday, was the day that Song Haijin would torture the crew with her presence.

"Ugh, I feel my energy draining completely already." Dooshik remarked, resting his back on his chair.

"Yeah, just thinking about what we’re going to deal with already exhausts my mind and body." Doha added but Eunkyung pounded her fist and said,

"Is this the attitude you want to show that sissy? Don’t show her that her presence weakens you. Rather," she clenched her fists. "... Let’s show her that we’re not afraid of her."

"Haha, look at you being all agile first thing in the morning." Jiwoo said, walking up behind them and they all turned to her. "It’s good to be excited but not so much that you get carried away. Let’s hope to finish this shoot in one go and never have to see her again."

"Yeah, good idea." Dooshik said. "I’m going to make sure everything will be in order and leave no room for mistakes."

"You go do that." Doha said. "I’m going to go down to grab a coffee. I need the energy to continue the morning without collapsing."

"Why? Are you okay?" Jiwoo asked, going out with her.

Doha rolled her eyes at the memory of the event she had to go through the previous day.

"Hah, don’t even get me started." She said.

"I’ll go down with you. I need to get a coffee for the stars." Jiwoo said.

"Hm? Both of them? Did Yaeran not come to work today?" Doha asked and Jiwoo shook her head.

"She’s not coming."

"Ah, that’s understandable. That witch must really get to her even till now. It’s best she stays home and stir clear in case of any more accidents."

Dongwoo arrived, went straight to his office, off-loaded his bag, and immediately started working on his laptop.

He completely forgot he had to turn in his idea for the prompt he was working on. Ah, how wouldn’t he forget when he had two giant dogs licking his legs and his face every single minute?

They wanted him to play with them so much that he lost track of what he had to do.

’Luckily, I still have some time before people from Shannel come to start the shoot.’ he thought, his hands typing away on his laptop. ’Song Haijin will be here and...’ his fingers paused, and his lips slightly quivered, but he paused them and shook his head. ’Forget it.’

He still hadn’t told the twins about Shinwoo. He didn’t look like he was going to tell them about it either.

He wished everything would be solved somehow without talking about his past with Shinwoo.

Shinwoo was... Not exactly a good person and not a good memory he would like to recall.

He decided not to think about anything related to him.

At best, he could try to avoid him till they were done with the shoot. After the shoot, he wouldn’t have to see him anymore.

*Knock knock* came the knocking sound on his door and he raised his head, almost flinching as he had lost himself to the thoughts he told himself he wouldn’t think about.

"Yes, come in." He said and the door opened to reveal Minwoo.

Minwoo smiled but then looked around a little vigilantly before smiling again.

"Hyung," he called happily.

Though he didn’t like it, he couldn’t afford to call Dongwoo simply by ’Hyung’ when the twins were around him. But since they were alone, "Hyung, Hyung, Hyung," he excitedly called and went to wrap his arms around his neck in a warm embrace.

"Huh? What’s gotten into you?" Dongwoo asked, finding his actions strange and also funny.

"I’m just so glad to see you, that’s all." Minwoo said.

"But we met yesterday." Dongwoo said but Minwoo simply smiled at him.

"Doesn’t matter." He said and took a seat opposite him, crossing his legs. "Anyway, I’m glad that I can come to my Hyung whenever I want to and no one can stop me from calling him that."

Understanding what he meant, Dongwoo shrugged his shoulder and said,

"Well, I can’t help it at this point." He said and Minwoo pouted.

Dongwoo laughed.

Watching him pout like that almost looked like he was seeing himself in the mirror pouting.

Minwoo did not get rid of the glasses. Though he had come to terms with his appearance and no longer regarded himself as the image that his brother should’ve worn (whatever that means) he wanted to make it easy for others to be able to differentiate them.

Unlike the twins, Seojin and Seojun, who have various differences like their eyes and their body size (not so much, though. Their body sizes are almost equal. Seojun just has a bigger chest), Dongwoo and Minwoo could only be differentiated by the glasses Minwoo wore and maybe his choice of clothing.

But if he chose to take off the glasses and instead of his plain designer suits, dressed casually like Dongwoo did regularly, then no one would be able to tell them apart.

"Hyung, what’s your schedule after work today?" Minwoo asked.

"Well, I’ll be heading home with the twins." Dongwoo answered. "We plan to drink tonight, hehe. It’s been a while."

"Hm, and tomorrow? We have a day off tomorrow so you’re free, right?"

"Oh, not really. I plan to hit the gym with Seojun tomorrow."

Surprised, Minwoo placed his hands on the table.

"You work out?"

"Not really." Dongwoo answered with a little awkward smile. "But I plan to try it out. Seojun says it may increase my sta-" he paused, his mouth still open with the word he was about to say.

Minwoo’s eyes glinted and his eyebrows twisted in a spy manner.

"Huh? What’s that? If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were about to say stamina." He said, and Dongwoo shook his head.

"No, you heard wrong." He exclaimed. "It’s not like that at all."

"Hm? Is that so?" Minwoo got up from the chair and faced Dongwoo. "You know, you can always come to me for advice if you’re having difficulty in that area."

"I said it’s not like that." Dongwoo’s face flushed and he averted his gaze to avoid eye contact. "I just... Want to get some exercise done. Is that too much to believe?"

Still, Minwoo kept his suspicious gaze on him. But he let it go and laughed.

"Just come to me when you’re ready to receive my guidance." He said, sitting back on his chair and folding his legs again. Then, he sighed. "So, I can’t have a moment with my brother. It’s too bad. I wanted to get to spend some time with you and catch up on lost years." He said, his expression turning a bit sad.

Dongwoo understood where he was coming from.

They were twin brothers who had been separated for all their lives, so of course they needed to spend some time together to do some catching on.

But... What were they even going to talk about? It’s not like either of their lives had been filled with roses. Or that there were memories that were worth recalling.

Minwoo noticed the wristwatch on Dongwoo’s wrist and smiled softly.

"You wore it." He said, and Dongwoo traced his gaze to his watch.

"Ah, yes." He said, admiring the silver wristwatch around his wrist. The inside of the watch had a shade of light blue but they complimented Dongwoo’s eyes really well. "I liked it the moment I saw it. Thank you, for the gift."

"You’re welcome." Minwoo said and rested his back. "Ah, if I had known you would wear yours, I would’ve worn mine as well."

"You bought the same?"

"Yeah, it was a match." He said. "Oh, by the way. Please be careful."

"Of what?" Dongwoo asked.

"Your relationship." Minwoo said, and Dongwoo’s eyebrows twitched. "I’m not saying that you should be careful of the twins, I’m talking about how to keep it away from the public. If it gets out that you, a man, have those two as your lovers, it won’t end well. The criticisms, the hate, the defamation... It’ll all hurt you and I don’t want that."

Hearing that, Dongwoo nodded and said,

"I understand where you’re coming from." He said. "And I’m doing my best to be careful. The twins, on the other hand," he darted his eyes aside. "... Get a little carried away sometimes but I’ve got them under control now."

"Well, that should do. They shouldn’t be the reason why the world will come to hate you." He said.

"They would never want that either." Dongwoo muttered.

Then, the door opened and Eunwoo walked.

"Morning boss." He said, and Jaeho walked out from behind him.

"Morning boss!" He mimicked Eunwoo with a sly laugh but then saw that there was not just one Dongwoo but two of them.

His jaw dropped and he pointed out with widened eyes,

"Boss, there’s two of you?"
