Chapter 174: Owen, I’m sorry
Chapter 174: Owen, I’m sorry
It all happened so fast.
Seojun managed to slip past the big shots who wanted to ’get to know him more’. He took a glass of wine from a waiter and sipped from it while secretly searching for Dongwoo.
’Tch, just thinking about them makes me sick. I need to see Hyung to feel better.’ he thought, and then he heard a loud shout out.
"Someone fell into the pool."
’What sort of shenanigans are they trying to pull?’ he thought and decided to take a look. Maybe that would kill his boredom. He got closer and spotted Sungho pulling someone out of the water.
He almost mistook it for Dongwoo, but then he caught the black bruise on his face, and the clothes he was wearing were what Minwoo wore, so he let out a sigh of relief.
’It was just the manager.’ he thought. ’I almost had a heart attack.’
He was just about to turn and keep searching for Dongwoo when he heard Minwoo ask,
"Where... Where’s Dongwoo?" Just the mention of Dongwoo’s name made him pause. "Is he... Is he still in there?"
Seojun’s eyes widened and he looked at the water. Dongwoo was in there?
He didn’t wait a single second before diving in to retrieve his drowning lover.
Meanwhile, Dongwoo, as soon as his body hit the water, lost all strength in his body. It was like he was paralyzed.
He sunk deeper and deeper, staring at the blue surface, and thought,
’How peaceful.’ the lights above the water looked like the sun shining from above and he thought again, ’How pretty? If only Minwoo could see this sight.’
He didn’t know where that thought came from, but it was weird; as soon as he thought that, flashes of a past event raced through his mind.
There was a little kid, Minwoo, and the butler... Owen. They were on a cliff and he was hanging on to Owen’s hand.
He remembered the snakes. He remembered the sunset. He remembered crying and thinking in his next life, he would be better off as a photographer.
He wanted to take pictures of beautiful things.
He remembered calling Owen’s name repeatedly and asking him not to be mad at Minwoo because he was a good kid with a big heart.
He remembered how grievous Owen looked as he hung on with snakes biting him repeatedly. The smile on his face as he assured him that all would be alright.
Dongwoo’s back finally met the bottom of the pool, and he lay there, letting out the little breath he had left, and bubbles followed.
He stared at the surface.
’The view from underneath the sea... It was just like this one.’ Dongwoo thought and closed his eyes, his tears mixing with the water. ’Owen, Owen, how did you do it? I... I’m scared.’ he thought and then opened his eyes again, hearing a heavy splash.
There was a figure swimming down heavily.
’Who is it? Is it Owen?’ he thought and slowly blinked.
Then, it came into full view, the person who was coming to his rescue was Seojun.
He grabbed his hand, pulling him to himself, and kissed him, transferring a bit of his air to him, hoping, more than anything, that he did not drown.
’Owen, I think you were right.’ Dongwoo thought and closed his eyes. ’Everything turned out fine.’
Seojun carried Dongwoo out of the pool and laid him on the floor.
Dongwoo coughed out a lot and then started crying.
Seojun was lost because he didn’t know why Dongwoo was crying. It must’ve been horrible.
"Dongwoo!" Minwoo called as he approached with a towel around him but Dongwoo wouldn’t stop crying.
He looked up at Minwoo with teary eyes, his wet hair stuck to his face and he called out.
"Owen, I’m so sorry."
Minwoo flinched. Did... Did this mean he finally remembered? Did this mean...?
Seojin pushed past the crowd with a worried look on his face.
"What happened here?" He asked and snatched the towel from the hug standing stunned.
He wrapped it around Dongwoo.
"Hyung, it’s okay. You can stop crying now. I’m here." He said, and Dongwoo raised his head.
Why was he always crying? He just couldn’t stop the tears from flowing down.
He shook his head and apologized,
"I’m sorry." He said, cleaning his face with the towel. "I... I was scared because I didn’t know how to swim."
"That’s okay, I’ll take you back to the hotel right away." Seojin said and helped him up. He looked at Seojun as he took a towel to clean his face. "You too. You need to get changed since you’re drenched."
"Yes." Seojun nodded.
They started making their way out of there, leaving Minwoo to stare, stunned.
He was still taken aback by the incident just now but more than that, he was shocked that Dongwoo got his memories back after falling into the pool.
’Wait, he did get his memories, right? It wasn’t a tiny fragment.’ he wondered.
"Hey, Manager, are you okay?" Doha asked and he nodded. "Well, you’ll need to change out of those clothes." She said, staring at his chest.
"What...?" He looked down at his shirt, only to find his shirt had become completely transparent thanks to the water. "Ah!"
Sungho suddenly took off his coat and wrapped it around him. He looked away with his ears slightly flushed.
"I’ll let you borrow this first." He thought and peeked back at him to see his nipples were still on display. It made him uncomfortable, and he wondered why Minwoo wasn’t feeling embarrassed about it.
Well, he was able to seduce him so boldly that he had his doubt that this simple thing would get him embarrassed.
But it was still not proper so he buttoned the coat and said,
"I’ll take you back to the hotel."
Minwoo looked at him, secretly blushing, and smiled.
"Thank you."
"Then you two head out first," Taiha, who came out of nowhere and heard of the situation, said. "I don’t know how you two fell into the pool, but it happened during the party, so I’ll have to talk to the management about putting my people’s safety at risk."
"Thank you, director."
Sungho and Minwoo went to where their bus was parked, hoping it was still there and it was. It made them wonder what the twins took to get to the hotel.
’Maybe they didn’t want to inconvenience the others by taking the bus and took a taxi instead.’ Sungho thought.
They decided to do the same but Sungho made sure to put on a nose mask first. This wasn’t Korea but he couldn’t risk it.
He was also an international model so he had to be careful.
"Blue hotel." He told the taxi driver and he nodded. ’Wait, how do I pay for the taxi?’ That was something to be concerned about.
And as if reading his thoughts, Minwoo said,
"I have some currencies we can use." Sungho looked at him and nodded.
On their way, Minwoo started shivering. He was cold.
"Are you okay?" Sungho asked and Minwoo nodded, despite his continuous shivering.
"Don’t worry, this little won’t bring me down." He said and suddenly dropped his head on Sungho’s shoulder, causing him to flinch.
He looked down at Minwoo and gulped. This sort of close contact...
Minwoo, knowing what he was putting himself into, decided to leave it all to fate.
