Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix -
Chapter 1301 - 1301: Don’t worry
"You aren't very bright, are you?" Rain asked when his hand was completely healed.
Rain could almost hear the sound of the lord clenching his teeth behind the monster. Come to think of it, that certainly wasn't his body, so Rain didn't have time to wait… even though mana wasn't a problem since too many mechanical knights were around and Rain equipped Glutonous Aura to steal their mana.
In the end, the enemy ran out of patience and used the mechanical knights around to bombard Rain with the tip of the spears once more and that forced him to stop using the dark mana hammers. Rain blocked them with the ominous sword for a short while until he used Telepathy on the enemy.
"I have the infinity Chad stones," Rain said, and then he flinched for a moment. "You can call me king dong. Every minute in Africa, sixty seconds pass. I am just looking into her heart. It's not our fault those monumental jiggle jogglers are in the way."
All of the mechanical knights stopped for a moment, and then Rain attacked the golden mechanical knight after becoming a dark vortex. The enemy blocked his charge with his energy swords, but soon they vanished as Glutonous Aura and Rain damage surpassed the mana that the enemy could emit to create the weapons, and then he pierced through it.

Rain kept charging through the area until he reached the hangar. Despite the insistent darkness in the hangar, Rain's enhanced perception allowed him to navigate effortlessly. The vast space revealed itself as a factory dedicated to the production of the menacing mechanical knights.
As Rain looked around, he noticed several wells scattered across the hangar floor, leading to tunnels that seemed to extend into the depths of the earth. These tunnels were likely used for resource extraction, supporting the manufacturing process of the mechanical knights.
The rhythmic hum of machinery and the clanking of metal echoed through the cavernous space, emphasizing the scale of the operation.
"Where is the body of that asshole?" Rain thought while looking around. "He should be around here since he is controlling this whole factory."
Although there were plenty of mechanical knights ready to be activated and a bunch of them outside that could come to attack Rain, the enemy decided to use something else… some shurikens with runes were activated, and they began to spin in the air while emitting the same aura as the mechanical knights.
"I don't have time for this…" Rain thought.
When the first shuriken was about to split him in half, Rain suddenly stopped one of the sides of its blades with his bare hands and immediately stopped its spin. Before long, he covered the giant shuriken with dark ice and used it to reflect all the others. He used more and more mana until he controlled the whole thing without his hands and made it spin above him.
Rain used almost all of his mana to expand the size of the shuriken and then made it rotate around him, destroying everything around. The other weapons and enemies were ripped to shreds thanks to that combination.

…
"Wait! Stop!" A voice suddenly echoed in the area. "I surrender. Let's negotiate my terms of surrender."
"No way," Rain said. "You acted like a bitch by trying to gang up on us, so you will die like a bitch."
Rain landed on the ground while the giant weapon was causing some havoc, and then he kicked it with all his might. Thanks to the vibrations, he was able to pinpoint the location of the enemy right below him, which had been easy since the voice had come from there as well.
Rain ripped apart the metallic floor with his bare hands. There was a small line that showed that there was an entrance to the chamber of the enemy, so that helped him force his way through. Before long, Rain found the lord of that territory in a dark chamber filled with blue lines that connected to the whole structure.
The chamber revealed a surprising sight as Rain entered, a literal skeleton, adorned in a scaled-down version of the imposing mechanical armor worn by the other creatures. Unlike the typical skeletons that emitted a strange miasma, this one's bones emitted a vibrant blue glow. Rain's eyes focused on a peculiar rune embedded in the armor, connecting the skeletal structure to the armor parts.
The rune seemed to serve as the anchor for the skeleton's soul and bones, allowing him to control the mechanical armor and prolong his existence. The blue glow pulsated with energy, casting an ethereal illumination in the dim chamber.
The skeletal figure stood still, its empty eye sockets fixated on Rain. Despite the lack of facial features, Rain could sense a mixture of fear and desperation emanating from the creature. The realization dawned upon him that this lord had used the mechanical armor not only for power but also as a means to cling to life.
"You won't benefit a lot from killing me," The skeleton said. "If you spare my life, I swear that I will serve you and share all my knowledge with you."
"You are going to do that anyways, whether you like it or not," Rain furrowed his eyebrows. "Don't worry, your pathetic existence still will last for a while longer."
Rain split the skeleton in two with the ominous sword, but when the blue glow on the enemy's body began to vanish, he began to seal away all of the remaining lifeforce and energy of the creature after crushing its armor and bones with the power of Telekinesis until a small marble was left behind. It was different than sealing the life essence of a living being, but it worked.
