The skill Telepathy received 75.000 experience points.

Rain couldn't help but feel a bit of surprise as he observed the swift surrender of the lord. Given the potent influence of wrath and pride within Rain's abilities, he expected a more resistant and defiant foe. However, the skeleton appeared to succumb rather quickly to the threat of annihilation.

It dawned on Rain that the enemy's resistance to the overwhelming forces of wrath and pride might not be as powerful as he initially assumed. The fact that the lord surrendered so swiftly indicated a certain logical and strategic mindset, perhaps unaffected by the more emotional and chaotic aspects of wrath and pride.

"The monsters stopped moving and are falling apart," Terra suddenly said when she appeared. "All the magic relics filled by his mana stopped working, too."

"I guess we are done here…" Rain said, and then he changed his path. "Your magic really helped… ow, ow, ow… at least it helped in keeping my mind clear."

"If you only block instead of dodging some, of course, it will hurt," Terra furrowed her eyebrows. "You are getting dumber instead of wise as we age."

It seemed that Rain didn't keep his cool that much… every time he breathed, his body would ache… it seemed that several parts of his bones were still cracked and would need time to mend properly.

"Anyway, our job here is done…" Rain said. "Let's join the others and see if we can defeat another group of retards. Might as well clean the table as soon as possible before the trash starts to pile up."

While observing Rain's demeanor, Terra sensed some deep thoughts swirling within him. His eyes, usually filled with mischief or determination, now held a thoughtful glint. Despite her curiosity, Terra chose not to pry at the moment. She knew Rain well enough to understand that when the time was right, he would share whatever weighed on his mind.

There was a subtle complexity to Rain's thoughts, and Terra respected his need for solitude within those reflections. In the world they navigated, understanding and accepting each other's rhythms and nuances became an integral aspect of their bond.

In a hurry, those two left the hangar and soon returned to their base… it didn't take long for them to realize that the place was being attacked by dark trolls, so Rain and Terra decided to surround the enemies from behind.

"What about the others?" Terra asked.

"They have enough firepower to last for a while, so they will be fine," Rain said. "Let's make quick work of these guys to help them faster."

"Right," Terra said. "This time, I am going to help on the offense."

Rain had used a fair amount of mana, so he would need some help anyway. Gluttonous Aura could help against numerous enemies, but the dark trolls only had around one hundred of them… Rain could only imagine that their leader was being cautious since the others weren't doing well.

As Rain and Terra were about to engage in the battle against the dark trolls, they couldn't help but notice the fragility of the lords' alliance. The coordination among the different factions seemed almost non-existent, and a palpable lack of trust was in the air.

Each lord wanted to prioritize their own survival, constantly eyeing their supposed allies with suspicion. The absence of mutual support and a unified front showed the haphazard nature of their alliance. It was as if every member expected betrayal from the others, creating an atmosphere that only weakened their collective strength.

In the midst of the ongoing chaos, Rain and Terra realized that the lords' alliance was nothing more than a loosely held arrangement. The absence of camaraderie and trust among them sowed seeds of discord, making it clear that their collaboration was more of a convenient necessity than a genuine partnership.

This inherent lack of unity played to the advantage of Rain and his allies, exposing the weaknesses that could be exploited in their ongoing struggle against the lords, and they were planning to use it.

"You take the left side, and then I will take the right," Rain said. "Don't let anyone escape and go all out."

"Got it," Terra said.

Soon, they were able to see Danny, Annie, Jori, and Rena's squads defending that side of the walls, but the dark trolls were making several holes appear in there as well with their charges. When they hit the walls, Annie would kick them in their stomach and then send them flying upward, and then Danny would make them strike toward some dark ice spikes on the ground with a double hand.

The dark trolls agonized after being pierced and eventually fell apart after freezing, thanks to it.

All of a sudden, Rain and Terra charged with Impulse and then kicked and punched the backs of the dark trolls, making them fall and stumble on each other. Once they saw the enemies completely vulnerable, the squads began to bombard them with dark mana swords.

Danny and Annie used that chance to impale the monsters with dark ice spikes, while Jori and Reca charged their weapons with energy as much as they could. After a couple of seconds, Jori brandished his sword and fired a blast of energy that consumed dozens of enemies.

At the same time, Reca threw her spear at supersonic speeds, and the weapon pierced through several dark trolls and made them explode soon after…. It exploded to pieces and even melted their blood somehow…

"I guess everyone is using their heads to defeat the enemies with more ease," Rain thought.

Thanks to that, their coordination and the surprise that the enemies suffered, the group had an easy time defeating the dark trolls… actually, exterminating them would have been a better word to use in that situation… it was a one-sided slaughter.
