Chapter 89. Setting the Solar Panel
Chapter 89: 89. Setting the Solar Panel
Anna carried Kitty to the balcony and took out a pair of binoculars. While leaning on the wall, Anna used the binoculars to look into the distance.
The water was still as high as before.
But those high buildings could be seen very clearly from this position. They looked very conspicuous among the dark brown water below.
Some people came out and used various types of boat to travel.
From here, Anna could see several people had come out.
But the number was relatively small.
Not everyone kept a boat in their apartment or hotel. At this time, they wouldn’t be able to go anywhere and could only stay at home or wait until there was a chance to go.
It was inevitable.
"Meow~." Kitty meowed comfortably in Anna’s arm.
Anna was patting Kitty’s body unhurriedly, enjoying the comfortable rub on the cat’s fur. It was definitely very satisfying.
Dylan came out with the solar panel and tools. He worked on the other side to arrange the solar panel and also the cables.
"How long do you plan to stay here, Sister Anna?"
"Why do you ask?" Anna asked back.
"That way, I can just settle for a temporary fix for this solar panel instead of making it permanent," Dylan replied.
How long will she stay here?
Anna looked at the water in front of her. This kind of sight was honestly very rare because the incident of great flood like this that caused countless houses to be flooded was very rare. But it was also because it was rare that Anna was contemplating.
"Probably a few days," Anna replied.
She will definitely go.
But she was not sure when it will be.
"Are you going to follow Mark and Lucy?" Dylan asked again while taking out the few tools from the box. He had already placed the solar panel and only needed to make sure it stayed in place.
There was an instruction to follow to set the solar panel, which was pretty easy to follow.
"Hmm, maybe not," Anna replied.
She wanted to take out her supplies and for that, she had to ’detour’ from the others. Besides, Anna has several assault boats on her own. But before she went on her own, she has to ensure her safety to make sure that she will be fine.
The supplies she showed on the bright side will be her best cover so that people will not feel strange when she has some items or take out more things.
This was the only thing Anna could think of.
But she hadn’t decided the suitable detour and whether it would be possible for her to ’disappear’ for a while from the other’s eyes if she were to go together with them.
"You’re going to go by yourself?" Dylan frowned.
"Maybe?"
"That’s too dangerous, I don’t agree with you going by yourself, Sister Anna." Dylan looked at Anna with frown. "If you don’t want to go directly to the base because you don’t like trouble, you can go with me for the time being."
"Going with you?" Anna asked with surprise.
"Yes." Dylan nodded seriously. "I’ll be going to find my grandfather either tomorrow or two days later. At that time, you can follow me while Mark and Lucy might go to the base earlier. We will catch up with them afterwards."
Anna looked at Dylan in surprise. "I thought that you want to go by yourself."
"I do, but I can’t possibly let you go to the base by yourself. Who knows how many people have ill intention out there." Dylan thought that Anna will be going with Lucy and Mark to the base.
After all, the base would be arranged to be similar to how a city has always been. At least, that was how the plan was.
But when he heard Anna’s hesitation not long ago, he felt doubtful.
Now that he asked clearly, he actually found out that Anna was planning to go by herself to the base.
That couldn’t do.
It was too dangerous.
"You know that I can protect myself with the gun," Anna said slowly.
"But you can’t stand guard for 24 hours a day." Dylan shook his head. "I’m not that heartless that I’ll leave you to fend for yourself."
Anna pouted. "You will have to protect your grandfather. If you add me, wouldn’t there so many people behind you?"
"Didn’t you say that you can protect yourself."
"Hey!"
Dylan laughed. "So, what do you think? Coming with me to find my grandfather first while these two went to the base?"
Anna tilted her head. "To be honest, I’m not entirely sure about that. Do you need help to pick up your grandfather?"
"Well, I can make do with a boat guard?" Dylan smiled.
Boat guard?
Anna’s lips twitched at Dylan’s words’ selection. It seemed that he was truly trying to make use of her presence to guard the boat.
"Can’t you guard by yourself?"
"I need to go up to pick my grandfather and the butler." Dylan thought for a moment and then added, "There’s also the chef aunt who’s responsible for my grandfather’s meal and our family’s doctor’s family."
"Huh? They’re all together?" Anna was stunned.
She was not surprised that there were several people with Dylan’s grandfather. After all, he was already advance in age and usually needed someone else to help him to do various things. There were several people in the mansion.
At first, Anna thought that these people would have left to fend for themselves, but they were all staying with Dylan’s grandfather?
Dylan nodded. "Everyone was in the mansion and choose to follow my grandfather. At this time, they are all in the hotel together and booked two rooms to stay. For the time being, there are still enough rooms but if the flood had continued to rise, it’s estimated that there’s not enough room for the surviving people."
Thankfully, the flood stopped.
This way, Dylan didn’t need to worry his grandfather would be squeezed out.
