Chapter 88. Going to find Supplies

Chapter 88: 88. Going to find Supplies

"Ok, now that it’s settled, I’ll be going first."

"Um."

Mark and Lucy went out while carrying the already pumped up boat. Dylan and Anna followed behind them.

"Do you have enough stamina to make to the seventh floor and go back up?" Dylan asked when he saw Anna following.

Anna glared. "Don’t underestimate me."

"Ok, ok."

Dylan chuckled and locked the door again. He looked at the stairs thoughtfully and hoped that these people were smart enough not to come here when they were all going down. Because at that time, they would be facing the angry Kitty.

Kitty was still staying in Anna’s apartment, standing guard there.

Well, to be exact, this lazy cat didn’t want to go from the couch and wanted to sleep.

Dylan and Anna chose to leave the cat behind.

As they walked down, there were still corpses from the chaos in the morning being left behind. In some places, the corpses had already disappeared and might have either been tossed outside or being taken by their family members.

The bloodstain was still left behind on the stairs.

"It’s quite scary," Anna commented.

She couldn’t imagine how chaotic it would have been in the morning at this place. When they started shooting, they would no longer care about whether it was safe for others or not.

All they cared for was to safe their own lives.

Others?

Who would have time to care.

And when everything was settled, it was only then they realized what they had done or what had happened.

"It’s not that that bad." Dylan shook his head. "At the very least, there are not that many people who have gun."

Anna pursed her lips.

Looking at the active numbers in the chat group alone, she knew that at least a third of the people who were staying in this apartment was wiped out. Even if they were not killed with bullet, they could be killed with other sharp weapons.

There were enough kitchen knives lying around here.

As long as they searched for some time, they would be able to find these kitchen knives lying around.

There were simply too many items that can be used as weapons.

"We’re here." Mark put down the assault boat on the water. Even though the rain had stopped, the water was still flowing in accordance to the height. It seemed that this apartment’s area was not the last location of the water.

"Ok. We’ll be going now." Lucy entered the boat.

"Wait, you’re not wearing the lifeguard jacket," Anna handed two lifeguard jacket to these two from the backpack on her back.

"You remember to carry these?" Lucy was stunned. "I don’t remember we have these."

"You have it," Anna said simply.

These were hers from the space, but she would not admit it. When they took the boat, they only took the engine, the rowing pedal, and the pump machine. There was nothing else.

So Anna supplied it with her own.

"Alright, we’ll be going now~."

"Let’s hope the money is enough."

With that, Lucy and Mark started to row their boat. With their skills, it only took a few strokes to leave this corridor and headed towards the open window to get out.

Anna and Dylan stood at the stairs on the seventh floor, watching the two people left slowly with the assault boat.

"Let’s go back up and keep watch at the balcony," Anna said quietly.

"I’ll set up the solar panel for you while you stay to watch," Dylan suggested. Since they would be staying in this apartment for the next few days, it would be better to set these solar panels.

At the same time, they would also start worry about drinking water.

Without the rain, the people will start to search for water from various places and might get into conflict because of it.

It was indeed quite worrying.

The two of them walked upstairs.

This time, they bumped to the people from 12th floor who came out with an assault boat. It seemed that the people who lived there also has it.

They were taken aback when they saw Dylan and Anna, but they didn’t say anything else.

Dylan and Anna also didn’t try to talk with them when they saw how vigilant these two were.

They continued their way to the 16th floor.

"How is it, are you tired?" Dylan asked.

"Not too bad," Anna replied. She was sweating but climbing up and down at this height was nothing much for the current her. At this moment, she was somewhat thankful for Lucy for dragging her to practice.

Even if the process was a bit ’bloody,’ the result was quite good.

"Rest for a while." Dylan thought for a moment. "Let’s not practice today."

"Um." Anna nodded.

They were going to wait for Lucy and Mark to come back. It would be better for them to be in the optimal condition so that they could deal with anything unexpected.

Hopefully after the chaos in the morning, the others have no interest to cause the second chaos when Lucy and Mark returned.

Anna didn’t really want to kill more people.

If possible, she wished things to keep peaceful.

"Where did you put the solar panel?" Dylan asked as they entered the apartment.

"Meow~." Kitty, who was previously sitting on the couch was already waiting for their return.

"Kitty, we’re back." Anna laughed and hugged Kitty. She pointed at the storage room. "I put it in the storage room. Not sure which box it is, though."

In order to prepare for Dylan coming here, Anna tossed a lot of things into her storage room. She didn’t have the time to clean and sort them out, so they still looked like a big mess.

The solar panel was among them.

"Ok, I’ll try to look for it."

"It should be still in the original box," Anna added thoughtfully.

"... Did you not open the box at all?"

"Well, when I plan to set it up, it’s already raining~."

"Alright, alright, I’ll help you to set it up."

"Hehehe~."
