Chapter 43. Night Troubles

Chapter 43: 43. Night Troubles

Anna kept her face straight.

Even if she was afraid in her heart, but she showed none of it on the surface. Because she knew that if she showed her fear to these two, they will only take advantage of it.

This world is no longer the same world that she used to know.

"Why should I listen to you?" Anna asked back. "What do you want by coming here?"

"Of course I want your apartment." The older man sneered. "And you will give it to us."

"No."

"No, do you think that this door can stop me?" The older man looked at the anti-theft door and snorted. He originally wanted to enter the door directly, but who would have thought that these people would set this up.

But it doesn’t matter.

He was confident with his strength and if he strikes it a few times, the anti-theft door wouldn’t be able to stop him in the slightest bit.

As he spoke, he walked forward.

Swish!

Anna raised her hand and inside her hand was a pistol. "You should know that a pistol’s range is 10 meters. If you come any closer, I’ll shoot."

The two men stopped.

They cursed in their heart.

Even if the older man was confident in his strength, there was no way that he could say he was confident that he could beat a gun. That damn gun could pierce a hole inside his body in mere seconds.

All Anna needed to do was to pull the trigger.

Added with this anti-theft door separating the two of them, there was he could reach Anna in time.

Throwing the axe?

Before he finished throwing this large axe, Anna could have already completed the shot.

"How come you have a gun?" The shorter man asked, his tone was incredulous.

How?

Gun is not prohibited in this country and Anna was not exactly a person who was active and could learn martial arts. Even if she learned a trick or two, her mother was not convinced.

In the end, she enrolled in shooting class and applied for gun ownership and license a few months ago. The reason written was for hunting but Anna knew very well that she would most likely use the gun for self-protection rather than hunting.

This way, Anna could bring a gun out anywhere she wanted legally. Using it was another question, but as long as it was only used in self-defense, there was usually no problem with her carrying a gun.

Among the items that she took from the warehouse, Anna also found a lot of guns when cleaning up.

The ammunition was also piling up.

Because she could use gun, she recognized their types and their use. But aside from a few of them, she didn’t know the specific power for the rest.

Perhaps, this was the main reason for her father’s anger.

The so called 10 billion’s value of goods were actually referring to these guns he shipped into the warehouse.

Gun is not prohibited.

But selling guns and owning them still has a lot of limitation such as license, qualification, and many others.

"Damn it." The older man’s face was dark. He didn’t want to go back when he was already here, but he didn’t want to hear commotion either.

"Brother, let’s go back down." The younger man was clearly afraid.

"Go back and I’ll pretend that none of this happened," Anna said, trying to keep her tone and voice as calm as possible.

This is the first time she met with a gangster like this and Anna would be lying if she said that she was not afraid. But she didn’t want to show her weakness and then be taken advantage by others.

No way.

"No." The older brother looked at Anna and sneered. "She wouldn’t dare to shoot."

With that, he started walking again.

Anna’s hand trembled for a moment. She had never shot anyone in her entire life. Keeping this gun was more of self protection than anything else.

Her mother taught her that if she was threatened or in danger, she could shoot the other party. But it was nothing more than words.

She never did it.

To be honest, Anna was hoping that these two would turn around and leave this corridor. Because she didn’t want to stain her hand with blood. She’s only 18 years old and after being thrown out of the house, she has to learn how to fend for herself.

Yet, it was also at this time the world is changing.

Anna knew that the time will come sooner or later.

She hoped it would be later than sooner.

But when she saw the two people were taking a step forward, Anna pointed straight at the older man’s forehead and her finger pressed on the trigger.

The world is no longer the same.

There was no point in hesitating anymore.

Bang!
