Chapter 42: 42. Night Troubles

In the end, Anna didn’t put any decoration. She was not sure what Dylan liked either.

After she was done, Anna walked out of the room and sat in the living room. She looked outside the window towards the balcony and the rain water.

’Can I put the rain water inside the space?’

With that in thought, Anna tried it but separated the destination to be far away from the bath water and the drinking water that she had put inside.

Splash!

There was sound of splash and looking outside, it seemed as if there was a void for a moment before the rain continued to fall.

Anna felt her heart thumped.

She looked at her space and found out that there was indeed a large ball of water on the place she designated as the rain water location.

’So it’s really possible.’

And the amount was much larger than when she waited for the drinking water from the faucet not long ago.

The corner of Anna’s lips curled up slightly.

It seemed that she had found out that it’s possible.

Of course, putting the water into the space would not have much effect on the flood because there was a limit to how much Anna could put inside. Not to mention, it was just a small portion compared to the pouring water.

But it seemed that she wouldn’t need to worry about bathing water again in the future.

She will check the rain water first in the future and after determining that it’s safe, she could use it for bath water.

After enough testing, Anna walked out and knocked Dylan’s place.

"Yes?"

"Will we start guarding tonight?" Anna asked. Because she was guided to reveal the fact that she’s alone, there might be some people who want to take advantage of this situation. Naturally, their guarding task will be divided into two.

One of them for the first half of the night and the other one afterwards.

"How about if you start? I need to wake up early to make breakfast," Dylan suggested. They planned to keep those jerky and pickles until there was no longer any fresh food. Eating those first would make his work rather useless.

There were still a lot of eggs and some others that he left behind to make food during this period of time.

"Ok." Anna nodded. "I’ll stay outside then."

Walking inside, Anna brought out a chair, a blanket, and a thermos. The blanket and thermos was to keep her warm while the chair was for her to sit down.

Dylan chuckled at the complete equipment Anna brought out. "Wake me up at 2."

"Ok."

With that, Dylan returned to his room.

Anna sat there and wrapped her body with the blanket. She looked at the window beside the stairs and pursed her lips, focusing on the rain outside. The water entered her space at rapid space and the small ball of rain water from before expanded several times within a few seconds.

And Anna was not done.

For the hours afterwards, she continued to stare at the window. There was a faint throb from her mind and Anna guessed that the space operated based on her mental strength, which she honestly didn’t know how to calculate.

But since she was able to pour a lot of rain water into her space, they should be quite a lot.

’It’s half past one. In half an hour, I’ll wake up Dylan.’ Anna took a deep breath. The night was pretty cold and she honestly didn’t like to stay outside like this. But there was basically no option for her to choose.

Tep! Tep!

Anna’s ears perked up.

She looked at the stairs direction sharply and no longer paid attention to the rain. The rain that sounded as if they were decreasing returned to normal without Anna’s intervention to pour the water into her space.

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"Brother, are you sure that you want to do this?"

"Ssh. She lives alone and this place is much safer than downstairs. Do you want to stay with the others and fight all day long?"

"But..."

"Just follow my command."

Anna heard their words and silently took out the weapon from her space and put it her hand. Because it was covered with blanket, no one would be able to see what it was.

The sound of footsteps stopped as two people appeared on the corridor. Their eyes revealed surprise when they saw Anna sitting there, watching in their direction.

"She’s here." The shorter one, who was also the younger one, was a bit afraid.

"Shut up!" The taller one snorted and looked at Anna ferociously. He was carrying a large axe in his hand. "Beauty, since you have seen us, you better listen to our words."
