I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 235. Wild Boar
Chapter 235: 235. Wild Boar
The two of them worked all morning.
When Dylan finished cutting several trees and put the woods away, he was speechless when he saw several stacks of branches that Anna had gathered. These branches formed several small hills located near the red rope.
"You’re amazing, Sister Anna." Dylan looked at the stack of branches and raised his thumbs up.
"They can be used as firewood," Anna said. "Eh, we don’t have fireplace in our apartment, right?"
Dylan thought for a moment and then said, "Then used it in the stove in the kitchen. There’s a vent there and if we use wood for firewood, it’ll also save our gas."
Anna nodded.
They had a short lunch with Kitty still running around happily.
After their lunch, they continue their work for another two to three hours. Dylan chopped several trees and stacked these trees on the side while Anna put the branches into the trunk and also at the backseat.
"Meow." Kitty saw that his sitting place was gone and looked at Anna with his doe look.
"You will sit with me." Anna chuckled and patted Kitty’s head.
"Meow~"
Dylan, who had only returned after stacking the wood: "..." Damn, I’m now jealous to a cat.
Kitty saw Dylan’s blackened face and raised his chin proudly as if saying that it was his privilege and Dylan couldn’t get it.
This cat’s expression was very annoying, making one want to beat him up. Dylan felt his finger itched a bit. But in the end, he didn’t beat this damn cat and only shook his head in annoyance.
*rustle*
"Who’s there?" Dylan quickly turned around and his hand had already taken out the gun on his side.
Anna’s reaction was by no means slower as the gun was already taken out.
The two of them looked around, trying to find the person who came to this hill. To come here, the road was indeed pretty bad, but it was not impossible. It was just that most people would not come here most of the time.
"Meow." Kitty meowed and then hissed as he sprang towards the bushes in the distance.
"Kitty!"
Then there was a movement as a wild boar came out from the bushes, rushing towards Kitty that dared to provoke it.
The two people who saw this immediately open fire.
Bang! Bang!
Two bullets hit the wild boar and the wild boar fell down.
Kitty, who wanted to fight for 3000 rounds with the wild boar, turned around towards Dylan and Anna. "Meow?!"
Why?
He had only geared himself to fight but the battle is already over?
How could he show his mightiness if this is the case?
While the cat felt really aggrieved, Dylan stepped forward and flicked the cat’s forehead. "Don’t be so reckless next time. You’re not a very strong cat that could defeat a wild boar. Be honest with me."
"Meow!" Kitty’s ear turned down as it complained in a low voice.
Dylan sighed in annoyance and patted the cat’s head.
"Don’t be so brave next time, Kitty." Anna also came forward and rubbed the cat’s head. "I know you want to help, but you’re so small and can’t fight against most animals."
"Meow!"
"Do you want to test your fighting capabilities?" Anna asked doubtfully.
Kitty nodded his head like chicken pecking rice. "Meow!"
Anna had a doubtful expression and glanced at Dylan.
Dylan sighed. "I’ll try to contact my uncle to ask about his permission. But before we can test it, I hope you don’t be so reckless, Kitty."
"Meow..." Kitty lowered his head and could only admit his wrongdoing.
Dylan walked to the wild boar and inspected it. It was quite big and they should be able to get a lot of meat from it.
"Let’s process it here?" Dylan asked.
Anna shook her head. "The blood would be a bit annoying to process here. How about if we go down to the river in the mountain and process it there. It’s a distance away from here but it shouldn’t be quick through car."
"Yes."
They wrapped the wild boar with cloth and then put it in the trunk after moving some of the woods.
Then they made their way to the river and started to process the wild boar. Skinning, separating the parts, and so on. Naturally, they also made their early dinner with some of the parts.
"Do you bring insulation box?" Dylan asked as he handed the meat to Anna. He has simple cooking kit in his car, so they could still cook in the wilderness. However, if they wanted to bring the meat back, it would be a bit weird to just wrap it in cloth.
"Don’t worry, I have them," Anna replied.
She carried a backpack with her when she came here. The content was actually empty, but she could just take out many things from her space.
"Good." Dylan nodded with a smile.
They cut the meat to several parts and finally decided to keep the upper part to be given to the base. There was so much meat that they doubted they would be able to eat it by themselves.
Even if Kitty was greedy, this wild boar was pretty big and heavy. So the upper half was wrapped in cloth while the rest that had been cleaned and chopped were put in the boxes. When they get back to the apartment, they would put more salt or make jerky from it.
"If Mark and Lucy are here, they will definitely be jealous," Anna commented as they cleaned up.
Dylan thought for a moment and then laughed. "They had long wanted to hunt by themselves, but they didn’t manage to do it."
"Well, we wasted two bullets for this wild boar." Anna licked her lips, reminiscing the taste. "It’s worth it, though."
The taste of the fresh meat was very good. It was not comparable to the frozen meat that they had been eating before.
Dylan looked at Anna helplessly and laugh lightly.
