Chapter 234. Active Kitty
Chapter 234: 234. Active Kitty
Looking at behind Dylan, Anna saw Kitty was already active again. It was as if it was no longer the same sleepy cat as before.
Anna crouched down. "Kitty, are you alright?"
"Meow~."
Kitty raised his head obediently, brushing to Anna’s hand carefully. He meowed and moved around Anna’s hand, very active and nice.
Looking at the cat that was so energetic, Anna started to doubt that the cat that only wanted to sleep all day long yesterday was the same cat as the cat in front of her.
"Did you feel anything different?"
Kitty shook his head and answered, "Meow~."
"He seemed to be saying no." Anna was a bit dazzled at Kitty’s operation. This cat seemed to understand every single sentence that she said. But based on the normal IQ of animal, it shouldn’t be possible, right?
When she was taking care of the cat in the past, his response was not so lively and precise like this.
"He’s a bit smarter now," Dylan replied. "But aside from that, there’s no other changes."
"Kitty didn’t turn fierce, did he?"
"Meow!" Kitty immediately protested at Anna’s question. He’s a good boy! How could he turn fierce?
Dylan chuckled. "It seems Kitty had already answered that question.
Anna also looked at Kitty helplessly and nodded. "Well, you’re a good boy, Kitty."
"Meow!" Kitty raised his chin as if saying that it was obvious.
The two of them laughed when they saw Kitty’s lively and obvious interaction. He looked like a little kid now instead of a pet. Though, based on his age of cat, he was no longer that young.
"We’re going outside. Do you want to come with us, Kitty?"
"Meow!" Kitty raised one of his front leg as if answering that he wanted to come.
"In that case, let’s go together." Dylan nodded and then took a tool box with him along with a jerry can.
"Why do you bring the tool box?"
"To make my own mark and also to cut down some trees," Dylan replied. "The land over there is not exactly flat."
Anna thought about it and nodded.
It seemed to be the case. The hill there was not taken care by anyone, so the plants were growing wildly. No one seemed to care whether the plants were still growing or not because no one would go there.
But after experiencing that flood, it was estimated that many people were unwilling to go down to the city yet.
Right now, a part of them were still living well in the base.
The rest were scattered.
"Let’s go."
They used Dylan’s car this time. In Dylan’s words, the engine need to be warmed up from time to time so that it would not be broken. Anna didn’t quite understand, but she chose to follow his words.
Kitty was sitting peacefully in the back seat. He would meow and jump to look at the window, as if he was impatient to reach the hill.
"Look, Kitty is already impatient," Anna said when Kitty jumped again for the nth time. Her tone was filled with amusement at the cat’s action.
"Don’t scratch the car." Dylan’s focus was on another thing.
"Meow!" Kitty meowed as if saying that he would not do such a stupid thing. He could control his claws so that it would not scratch things he didn’t want.
Dylan glanced at the cat that kept on jumping around and shook his head wryly. This cat used to be so sleepy back then but now the cat was really active.
The active cat was annoying.
But the sleepy cat was worrying.
It was unknown which one was better.
The distance between the two hills were quite far because of the mountain that separated the two hills. At the same time, the road was really bad, so they had to drive slowly so as not to get into accident in between.
It took three hours to reach the destination.
"It’s here?" Anna saw the long red rope and pointed at it.
"Yes. The areas within the red rope belongs to me," Dylan replied. "Well, it’s still rented for the time being because I need to use the contribution points to spend on the material to build the wall and so on. The building process will take some time later."
"Uh huh."
The car stopped and the two of them came down. Dylan brought his tool box and took out electric axe.
From the way it looked like, he was planning to cut down the trees.
"If you want to, there’s another axe," Dylan reminded.
"No need. I’ll just collect the scattered wood," Anna said. There were a lot of branches on the ground. She will collect them first. And with her space ability, it was actually very easy because these branches were not tied to anything.
"Ok."
"Meow~."
"You can walk around, just don’t make trouble. Oh, if you want to, you can mark the trees where the rope is located with your claws."
"Meow~."
Anna chuckled when she saw the cat trotted to the trees and started to scratch the wood. It looked like Kitty was having fun.
She walked around the red line in the other direction and used her space ability to collect these branches before putting them on her hand. The amount was quite a lot but she did it very quickly.
After a bunch was collected, she put them near one of the tree that was used with the red rope.
And the same process was repeated several times.
Anna was inspecting the area and found that it was actually quite vast. The base was quite generous to Dylan.
Bang!
The sound of tree falling came from the distance. Anna glanced to the back and saw Dylan had cut down one of the trees. Now, he was going to the next one.
Anna moved her gaze away and continued to collect the branches.
There were not many trees on this area, but to cut down the existing ones would definitely take some time.
