I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 236. Snow
Chapter 236: 236. Snow
They cleaned up quickly. Because some of the branches were used to make fire just now, there were more space in the backseat. Kitty happily pulled a few branches and created a small gap where he could lay down happily.
Anna saw Kitty’s action and poked the cat’s forehead. "Are you a bird creating a nest now?"
"Meow?" Kitty tilted his head in confusion. He’s a cat. 100% cat! There’s no other animals’ gene in his body.
"He’s imitating how bird making nest to make his own home," Dylan ridiculed.
"Meow!"
"Hahahaha!"
The two of them happily teased the cat on their way back to the base. When they reached the base, it was already sunset. The temperature was still pretty cold, though but bearable as long as they wore thick clothing.
By now, everyone was already wearing extremely thick clothing. Even if it restricted their movements a bit, at the very least they would not freeze to death.
They parked the car and started moving the firewood.
In this community, no one would dare to steal cars because there were many soldiers patrolling every day.
"Hmm?" Anna looked at the sky when they came out to fetch the last batch of firewood. "It’s snowing."
Dylan looked at Anna, who extended her hand to grasp the snow and looked at the sky. It was rare to snow in their region, much less when it was March like this. But the weather and seasons were already skewed during this period of time.
It was unknown what the nature would bring to them next.
"Isn’t it cold?" Dylan asked when he saw Anna took off her gloves and catch the snow.
"It’s cold." Anna chuckled. "But it’s also beautiful."
Beautiful?
Dylan looked at the snow that started to fall to the ground and then at Anna, who happily tried to catch the snow like a little kid. Because snow was rare in their region and only occurred once every few years, the children usually liked it when it was snowing.
He never had any extra feeling towards snow because he only felt that the temperature was colder.
But looking at how Anna was happily playing around, the corner of his lips curled up slightly.
He felt that Anna is much more beautiful than the snow.
"Come on, we have to finish moving the firewood. Don’t let it get wet."
"Ah yeah." Anna wore her gloves again and started to move the last batch of firewood to the apartment.
As she looked at the snow outside the window, Anna’s eyes flashed with complex look. To be honest, she liked snow because it was pretty and in their region, it was usually not very cold and not very thick.
It was just enough for children to play.
But when she thought about the abnormality that had occurred in the past few months, there was a faint worry from the bottom of her heart. Snow in March and if the snow were to grow even thicker, it would be hard for them to get out of their house.
If they couldn’t get out, how could they obtain contribution point to stay in their apartment?
For Anna, she had more than enough to rent the apartment for the next few years. But other people would definitely feel it was difficult.
Anna sighed inaudibly.
She could only hope the snow was not too severe. Because she knew that whether it was extreme heat or extreme cold, both could kill people.
For now, she could only enjoy the rare snow.
"Meow!" Kitty greeted the two of them when they entered Dylan’s apartment. He trotted to their side and rubbed his body on Anna’s leg.
"I’ll go to exchange the wild boar to the base," Dylan said. "You stay here and wait for me."
"Shall we eat late dinner a bit later?" Anna asked. They had already eaten the meat, but it was pure meat without any other dishes. Anna wanted to eat some vegetables to balance the nutrition.
"Sure, what do you want?"
"How about if we just made some soup later?" Anna asked back.
Dylan nodded. "Got it, I’ll do it later."
"Ok, I’ll rest in my apartment first."
"Alright." Dylan actually wanted Anna to wait in his apartment instead, but seeing Anna wanted to go back, he could only agree. He sighed in his heart and felt that he should find a time to confess properly.
Their relationship has been quite ambiguous but neither of them pierced that layer of paper. It seemed as if they were waiting for a right time.
Or they were just worried that their relationship with each other will change if they said it.
Anna went back to her living room and started her journey of processing the water from the lake. Since they were not pure water, she had made another water ball in her space again.
To be honest, she had the faint feeling that she would be water collector in the future.
*sigh*
Anna worked fast and the particle in her space continued to pile up more and more. Though, the amount was still in grams.
A large amount of water could only produce very little of this substance or particle.
Anna didn’t know how she should call it.
After she was done and felt that her head a bit heavy, she stopped. She would continue again later before sleeping.
But for now, it’s time to eat.
"Sister Anna, you’re here." Dylan nodded at Anna and then said, "The base said that hunting animals on our own is not recommended now."
"Eh, why?" Anna was stunned.
"They’re worried that the animals outside might also behave strangely." Dylan shrugged helplessly. "But considering that most people are still fine lately, they didn’t spread this out. It’s just said that if you really want meat, you can buy it from the supermarket."
Anna: "..."
They didn’t purposely hunt, got it?
That wild boar just appeared in front of them and about to attack Kitty, so how could they not shoot back?
