I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 129. Leaving the Building
Chapter 129: 129. Leaving the Building
Dylan quickly pushed the thoughts out of his mind.
It was unrealistic.
They worked quickly to pump the boat and then finished their preparation for tomorrow’s departure before going to rest.
Anna took a deep breath when they were done. It was quite the exercise for her. Thankfully, she has been training with the others before she came here or she might not be able to do this high intensity activity.
Lying in the sleeping bag, Anna looked at the ceiling.
If the temperature kept on rising like this, would it be possible for them to survive?
With that in thought, Anna slept soundly.
...
The next day, they packed up and went to the sixth floor.
Reason?
The water had already decreased to the point that it would be hard for them to use the window on the seventh floor to come down. So they went to the sixth floor.
"The water is dropping very quickly," Dylan commented. "Perhaps, there would be a time when we will need cars instead of boat."
"I think you mean off road cars. Ordinary cars will not be able to pass through the messy street below," Old Master Daniels said blankly.
"Yeah."
Cars?
Anna blinked her eyes and silently moved her mind to her space. There were also some cars in the storage room, but their number was not many. After all, one of her father’s mall was also a store that specialized in selling cars.
There was a separate storage place for these cars and there were not many that was put together with the others.
Looking at the row of shiny cars, Anna was silent.
She honestly didn’t know much about car.
But she knew from their appearance alone that these cars inside her space must be worth a lot back then.
Looking around, her eyes lit up when she saw the three off road cars at the side. It seemed that because the cars were not very popular, it was put in the storage along with several other cars in that storage areas.
Tsk, tsk, tsk, Anna started to feel that 10 billion might be underestimating the real price of these goods.
Mr. Williams truly lost blood.
If they were still in the same time period as before, then the insurance company would be the one to lose a lot of blood from paying him back. But which insurance company would be willing to cough out 10 billion?
They would lose their entire assets.
And even fell into debts.
But a portion would be recovered based on the value of the insurance and so on. Anna was not entirely sure about the details, but she knew that Mr. Williams would have to wait for some time before he could finish the claiming process.
During this time, it was unknown how the business would continue with so much money was lost.
Anna shook her head.
It was not her business anyway.
Now that the world had changed, even if she didn’t take the supplies, it would have long drowned under the flood.
"Sister Anna?" Dylan called out, "Let’s go."
"Coming~."
Dylan, Old Master Daniels, Anna, and Butler Henry were all on the bigger boat. Doctor Mike and Aunt Tiara were on the smaller boat. Their supplies were scattered in the two boats, nearly didn’t fit.
Dylan looked at the bags containing the boxes of tea speechlessly. "Do we really have to bring all of the tea?"
"Why not?" Old Master Daniels snorted. "It’ll be important for us to greet the guests in the future!"
Dylan: "..." How far in the future would that be?
They were only going to the apartment and it was not like they planned to meet with other people. Even if there were people coming, it was estimated that the door would not be opened.
After all, they didn’t really want to meet with strangers at this time.
Because letting other people enter their place would be the same as inviting tigers into their house.
It could be dangerous.
Many people have unkind thoughts and it was impossible to let these people enter their houses if they didn’t want to be calculated.
Splash! Splash!
Doctor Mike held the paddle with a bitter face. "My hand is not used to paddle but for operation, ah. How come I end up having to work like this?"
Aunt Tiara looked at Doctor Mike with pity and shook her head. "Get used to it, Doctor Mike. Things will get better in the future."
"Let’s hope so."
Doctor Mike could only sigh deeply and continued to move his hands. He really didn’t want to row the boats, but it was the order given to him, so he could only do it.
Aunt Tiara was also paddling but her speed was much slower than him. After all, she didn’t know the technique.
It was Butler Henry who did a great job at paddling the boat.
He’s even better than Dylan.
"You have to learn more from Henry, brat." Old Master Daniels snickered when he saw the dark face on Dylan’s face.
Dylan rolled his eyes. "I’ll definitely get better!"
"Yes, yes, I believe you."
"Hmph!"
They all departed early in the morning just after dawn. This was done purposely so that they would not be trapped midway when the temperature was extremely hot.
Anna didn’t have to row the boat, so she checked her phone and saw the message from Lucy. It was sent yesterday but because she was too busy with a lot of things, she forgot to check her phone.
In this period of time, the use of phone has become more and more limited.
So Anna also put her phones away and didn’t use it much.
’Jake and the others are picked up?’ Anna was surprised when she read the sentence. But thinking about it from another perspective, their parents would definitely not let their children suffer outside.
It was good that they were now far away from her.
But Anna was inexplicably worried if these people came to her in the future and made trouble. It would be very troublesome.
