Chapter 130: 130. The Other Bases Information

After worrying for a moment, Anna felt that there was truly no point for her to think too much about this. That was a problem for the future.

For now, Anna will just enjoy the time without having to see the annoying face of that man.

"Sister Anna, why do you look so happy?" Dylan asked.

It was very boring on the boat, rowing again and again without any other activity. He looked at Anna and saw that she was smiling brightly, asked curiously.

"Well, Lucy told me that Jake and the others are picked up to other bases. It meant that I don’t have to see him again anytime soon." Anna smiled happily.

"Oh?" Dylan was surprised and also felt happy.

He has been thinking about how annoying it was for Jake to dangle in front of Anna during this period of time. Now that Jake was taken away to some place he didn’t know, Dylan felt much more comfortable.

Does it meant he didn’t have to worry so much?

He felt happy when he thought about it this way.

"That’s good."

"What base?" Old Master Daniels asked.

"She didn’t tell me."

"There are a total of three bases in this City A. Two bases in city B, four bases in City C, and so on." Old Master Daniels rubbed his beard.

"So many?" Anna was stunned.

Old Master Daniels laughed. "Don’t underestimate the people who could take the chance to rise up during this period of time. They will definitely try to do something in order to gain more power and influence."

"Such as building a base?"

"That’s one of them." Old Master Daniels smiled. "Some of them will join other base and build their power around the base. After all, in this situation, whoever can take the initiative will definitely earn more."

Anna listened to Old Master Daniels’ words and nodded thoughtfully. It seemed to be that way. After all, not everyone will have enough manpower, influence, resources, and ability to make a base.

"They still have a lot of resources?" Anna asked another question.

"There are some people who are living on the mountains and have their supplies there." Old Master Daniels passed a look at Anna. "For example, there are a total of three bases in City A. The official base is built on a hill with mountain range behind it. There are already warehouse that the officials prepared in the past in case of emergency that just played a role.

The amount was not much but it would be enough to support the people before there would be more project done to recover the city.

The other two bases are Sunshine Base and Center Base. Sunshine base is made by a collective of rich people who had enough resources and now gathered in one district. They took control of several buildings and hotels in that area and wanted to make it their base. The property of the buildings there also belonged to them, so it could be said to be quite authoritative.

Center base is made by a powerful family with rich heritage. He’s staying in the opposite direction of City A Base but his mansions and many others were located on top of a hill. He had many businesses and his own storage was located on that hill.

This way, he has a lot of resources and able to gather people to stay and create a base, which he called as Center Base."

Old Master Daniels still has some contacts with his old friends, which allowed him to know the situation outside. Even though it was not very detailed, the big picture was quite clear and the power distribution was mentioned.

Anna listened attentively, only knowing that the situation outside was actually already slowly forming a shape.

But then again, without the storm that seemed to stop everyone from going out, these people were like wolves that smelled meat. They will start to make their move and tried their best to increase their own influence.

"How about you, Grandpa Daniels?" Anna asked.

"Me?" Old Master Daniels laughed. "I’m already old, why should I be the one to step forward and try to gain more power? It’s too tiring for this old bone."

Dylan rolled his eyes when he heard his grandfather’s words. "Uncle is already in City A base and had a lot of power there."

Old Master Daniels paused and glared at Dylan. "Why are you demolishing my platform, huh?"

"She will know when we’re going to City A Base later."

"Then it’ll be a good surprise!"

The two grandfather and grandson quarreled against each other while Anna thought about Dylan’s uncle. Dylan’s father had a younger brother who inherited the family business when Dylan was not old enough.

Anna had met with him in the past and felt that this uncle was very good and kind.

He was also very capable, but he didn’t really like managing the businesses. If not because of his father’s order, he would have long escaped.

But even though he didn’t like it, he was also very capable.

In just a short few years of managing the company, Daniels’ Family property had doubled.

Anna’s lips twitched slightly.

She looked at Dylan and thought about their little project during summer vacation back then. The four of them tried to make a short competition to see who could earn the most money just from a few Green Coins.

Green Coins is the currency in her country. It was named after their planet, Green Planet and used internationally. Of course, even if the name is coins, it was still in the shape of paper.

She used the money to buy some materials to make simple milk tea and sold it to her friends at school.

They all knew her, so they were willing to buy.

In the end, she managed to earn double of her initial investment. But it was so tiring that Anna didn’t want to repeat it again. She felt her body was too tired to do more of these.
