Chapter 128. Preparation to Leave
Chapter 128: 128. Preparation to Leave
If this continued, they would end up wasting so much of their water resources. Unless there was another rain where they could collect a lot of water, it would be better for them to ration their water.
No one knew when the rain will come again.
Even though rationally, there should be rainwater in the future because the water evaporated and will come back to ground, but the current situation seemed a bit strange.
The supposedly normal rainstorm for a few days turned into a month.
And now, it should be spring but the temperature kept on rising and might even surpassed the temperature in summer.
It was getting chaotic.
"I know." Dylan nodded seriously.
Anna nodded.
She has a lot of water, but it was not like they should be wasted. Besides, the rain water that she had collected needed to be distilled first before they could be drunk. The distillation at the apartment was very crude and it was only made in case their water was lacking.
But before they ran out of drinking water, the rain had stopped first.
Anna had given too many plastic bags to the others and during that period of time, the temperature was normal. This caused their water consumption to be normal and not excessive like how it is right now.
"What did you find outside?"
"A medical box containing some supplies," Dylan replied. "There’s not much medicine inside, but they should be enough for the time being."
Anna nodded and then pointed at the side. "I also found a first aid box on the seventh floor. The content is still very complete, but I can’t exactly say that I know their uses."
"Really?" Doctor Mike’s eyes lit up when he heard Anna’s words. He quickly rushed forward to find the box that Anna mentioned. If it was the first aid box, there would be enough supplies for emergency rescue when it was necessary.
"Yes." Anna nodded.
"Grandfather, we didn’t manage to find your medicine," Dylan suddenly remembered something and said to his grandfather guiltily.
One of the few reasons why they went out was to find Old Master Daniels’ medicine. After all, there were some medicines that Old Master Daniels have to use daily.
These medicines were not very easy to come by.
For the time being, they still have some stocks at home, but it wouldn’t be enough if they were not replenished in time.
Old Master Daniels sighed and waved his hand. "Leave it be to fate. We’ll try to find the medicine again in the future."
"Yes." Dylan nodded.
"How much do we have left?" Anna asked quietly.
Doctor Mike looked at Anna and then at Old Master Daniels. Seeing the old master didn’t seem to care, he said quietly, "At most two more months."
Two months.
It didn’t seem to be very short, but if there were no new supplies at all, then these medicines would be used up very quickly.
Anna furrowed her eyebrows when she thought about it.
"What’s the name of the medicine?"
"It’s ..."
Hearing this name, Anna quickly browsed the space and found a stack of them at one side. There were also pharmacies in the mall that belonged to her father, so there were also medicines among the supplies she took from the warehouse.
Looking at the large box containing a lot of medicine, Anna calmed down slightly.
She will just take it out when it is necessary in the future.
"Old Master’s heart is not very good, so he has to drink medicine," Doctor Mike explained.
"I know." Anna nodded solemnly. "When there’s a chance in the future, I’ll try to find the medicine."
"Good girl." Doctor Mike smiled.
Anna smiled and then moved to help others to pack up everything. After coming here, instead of decreasing, their belongings seemed to be increasing instead.
"It’ll be hard to fit everything in one boat." Old Master Daniels frowned.
"There is so much tea..." Dylan was more speechless when he saw the two bags that were filled with nothing but tea boxes.
"Anna found them downstairs." Old Master Daniels passed a look at his grandson.
"Sister Anna is amazing," Dylan quickly changed his words.
Old Master Daniels rolled his eyes when he heard his grandson’s words. At the same time, he shook his head slightly.
At this time, he was absolutely sure that his grandson was completely planted.
Hmph!
This damn brat used to make trouble here and there.
But now, he listened to Anna very well.
Anna heard their conversation and thought about the spare assault boat in her space. She smiled bitterly and moved to the other bags that belonged to her. Dylan didn’t know what she put in the bags anyway.
He had never checked it because it was her privacy.
"I brought the spare assault boat, but it needs to be pumped before it can be used," Anna said slowly.
Everyone turned to look at Anna energetically. They were excited when they heard Anna say that there was a spare assault boat.
"In that case, let’s pump it first!"
"Do you bring the air pump?"
"I did."
"Great!"
Anna pulled the assault boat from her bag. She purposely picked the smaller one because if not, there was no way it would fit into her bag. But even though it was smaller, it was actually still pretty large after it was pumped.
"It’s smaller than mine," Dylan commented.
"But it’s enough. One or two people will use this boat and the rest will stay in Dylan’s boat. This way, we’ll be able to bring more supplies," Old Master Daniels arranged.
"Yes!"
Everyone started to work.
Dylan looked at the boat and thought about the spare assault boats that Anna has in her storage room in the apartment. If he was not wrong, that assault boat there was not smaller than his, right?
Did Anna have more than one assault boat?
He wondered why Anna had so many assault boats.
It couldn’t be that she knew there would be flood, could she?
