Chapter 118: 118. Dinner (2)
Dylan’s lips twitched. "Grandfather, you still want to continue the business in real estate?"
Old Master Daniels snorted. "What do you know. The price of land will go up during the time of peace and when the number of population surge. It’s only during this time their price will be lowered for some reasons."
Dylan shrugged and nodded.
Anna blinked her eyes.
"How useless would the money be?" Anna asked.
"I don’t know." Dylan shook his head.
"Money can be used to trade but it’s estimated that the government will introduce different type of currency soon." Old Master Daniels sighed.
The others nodded.
Doctor Mike sighed and shook his head. "No matter what the new currency be, for professional in their fields, we just need to show our ability and there will be some works for us."
The others looked at Doctor Mike and sighed deeply.
The biggest problem was that Anna and Dylan were only high school students. They hadn’t even graduated yet, so if people were to ask what they could do, it was a bit hard to say about their abilities.
After all, they were not professionally trained in any field.
Butler Henry glanced at Doctor Mike. "I’ll stay with Old Master and continue my work as a butler."
"I know." Old Master Daniels nodded at his butler.
Dylan thought about himself and felt pressure. He would have to figure out a way to feed everyone and with his low qualification, he wondered what kind of work he could actually do.
He felt a bit of headache when he thought about this.
"Tomorrow... let’s find some food first before returning to the apartment." Dylan thought about it and felt that the best way for them was to scavenge for things first. Food should be very precious and if they have more, they might be able to use them to trade with something else.
"Ok." Old Master Daniels nodded in agreement.
Butler Henry had no opinion. His opinion will mostly be the same as Old Master Daniels unless in some matters.
Doctor Henry thought about it. "I’m more concerned about medical supplies. You should know that medical supplies will be very rare yet sickness might be quite common because of the lack of hygienic condition during this period of time."
Dylan thought for a moment and nodded. When they went to the hotel back then, he could see that the corridor was very dirty. It has been somewhat cleaned, but he could guess that the people couldn’t care too much about their cleanliness.
After all, the most important thing was for them to have something to eat and drink.
Who would care about taking a bath if they couldn’t even eat and drink enough?
But in the long term, if they didn’t clean themselves, they would definitely get sick because of various reasons. This was one of the most troublesome matters in their opinion. After all, they didn’t know how they could find medicine and cure their sickness.
As for caring for cleanliness?
Before they could find a steady supply of food, it didn’t seem to be a plausible option in the slightest bit. No one wanted to use their excess energy to clean up because they would rather use the time they had to find some food to eat.
Because it was more vital for their survival.
This was how troublesome it was.
"The hospitals are all submerged in the water." Dylan’s lips twitched. Most hospitals would not exceed 7 stories in height. Even if there were some of them that were quite high, the floors at higher places were patients’ rooms.
There were not many medical supplies put there.
Most of the supplies would be put in the first floor, which has been drowned for who knows how long. These non sterile supplies couldn’t be used at all.
If they continued to use the non sterile medical supplies, it was estimated that they would only aggravate their injury and sickness.
"We can try to find some hospitals and search there," Anna suggested.
She had checked her space just now and felt that her father’s business was actually very extensive. It was no wonder that he could be called as one of the few richest people in the country. He really deserved it with such complete supplies.
Anna guessed that there were several pharmacies in her father’s mall. This was the reason why there were a lot of medical supplies in her space.
The problem was...
She couldn’t recognize the name of these medicines.
Aside from the medical medicine that was announced in the news back then, Anna basically didn’t know the use for most of these medicines.
"Alright." Dylan nodded in agreement.
They were not exactly lacking in food right now, so it would be better to try searching for some medicines that could be used.
Doctor Mike smiled happily.
As a doctor, what he liked the most was naturally medicine. Because he knew that only with proper medicine would he be able to provide the best treatment to cure his patients.
Aunt Tiara came inside with a big bowl of rice and a plate of chopped up meat jerky. "It’s time to eat."
"Thank you, Aunt Tiara!"
"Yes, eat a lot."
Anna nodded and started to eat along with the others. The warm meal felt very fulfilling and comfortable.
Old Master Daniels looked at the large amount of food and silently passed a glance at Dylan. He could see that Aunt Tiara used up a lot of food for their meal this time. It was not like before where Aunt Tiara would try her best to fill more but was actually very worried.
After all, there was a lack of supplies.
This meant Dylan had brought a lot of food when he came here this time.
When Old Master Daniels thought about it, he sighed deeply. This little lass is really lucky. If she hadn’t bought a lot of food, it would be impossible for them all to eat so comfortably.
