Chapter 117: 117. Dinner

"Don’t worry, Young Master. I have a blanket." Doctor Mike had prepared a blanket for himself. Anyway, he knew that he might stay overnight somewhere outside, so he prepared a blanket for himself.

Now, this blanket is useful.

Aunt Tiara also nodded. "Don’t worry, I also brought a large cloth that can be used as blanket."

She was prepared.

"How about you, Uncle Henry?" Dylan saw Henry came out from the break room.

Butler Henry narrowed his eyes and looked at Dylan. He smiled faintly. "Do you have any spare blanket, Young Master?"

"Uh, I brought one."

"Old Master might need it."

Dylan: "..."

He sighed deeply and went to take his spare blanket to hand it over to his grandfather.

They all prepared their own bed for the night before gathered outside. There were several tables and chairs outside, which was useful to gather around. There was one large meeting room in this floor, which was very useful for them.

"Grandfather, do you still have food with you?" Dylan asked after they gathered around. He carried one of his bag that he stuffed with a lot of bread before they go.

Anna also carried a bag with her.

Old Master Daniels turned to look at Aunt Tiara. The food was managed by Aunt Tiara and he didn’t meddle much with it. After all, his task most of the time was only to eat the food that had been prepared.

Why bother to care so much about the rest?

"Young Master, there’s only rice left. It should be enough for all of us to eat tonight," Aunt Tiara replied honestly. "There’s some condiments left and my plan for tonight was actually to make porridge."

Plain porridge to be exact.

Butler Henry and Doctor Mike sighed when they heard Aunt Tiara’s words. They had already guessed as much when their morning meal was nothing more than plain porridge and their lunch was also plain porridge.

It seemed that their last other supplies were used up yesterday.

Old Master Daniels coughed. He looked at his grandson with the look, ’so, do you still have food left?’

Dylan sighed and took out the bag of jerky from his bag. "The meat in our places were mostly made into jerky. I brought quite a lot with me this time. There are also a lot of sugar bread that we can eat tomorrow."

He put the big plastic bag containing more than 10 sugar bread on the table.

"Let’s eat the jerky with rice for tonight." Old Master Daniels nodded at the bread. "We’ll eat these bread for breakfast tomorrow."

"I also brought some of the pickles we have at the apartment." Dylan took out one jars. This time, he brought quite a lot of jars in his bag. "These should be enough for tomorrow’s lunch and dinner."

Old Master Daniels looked at the jars and narrowed his eyes. "When did you prepare so much food?"

"Uh..." Dylan coughed. His own food was actually already eaten clean during this period of time. The only reason he still has food was because these were Anna’s. She has so much food that even if he had been eating a lot and Anna herself didn’t really ration her food, the amount was still a lot.

Even then, there were still a lot of grains and flour that hadn’t been used in her kitchen.

It could be imagined that Anna simply didn’t lack food in the slightest bit.

"They’re mine, Grandfather Daniels," Anna replied from the side. "I can’t cook, so I share them with Dylan as long as he cooked for me too."

"Yes, that’s exactly like what Sister Anna said." Dylan nodded his head like chicken pecking rice.

"You brought so much food, Anna?" Old Master Daniels’ tone was kinder now.

"Um." Anna nodded. "I need to use up the money from my father’s card. Since we’re about to experience flood, I brought a lot of food."

Use up the money?

Old Master Daniels thought about the incident before the flood and sneered in his heart at Mr. Williams. This damn man would never think that because he kicked Anna out of the house and will freeze her card, she used it all up to buy a lot of supplies.

He felt satisfied when he thought about it.

That annoying man would never realize that his action actually only pushed the daughter he hated to survive more comfortably.

"Don’t be sad, Young Miss." Aunt Tiara felt distressed when she thought about what happened to Anna back then. She had seen Anna grew up because Anna often played to Dylan’s house when she was a child. Naturally, the staffs in Old Master Daniels’ house was also familiar and fond with this girl.

So when they found out about what happened, they collectively scold Mr. Williams together.

"After this flood, the rich circle will be overturned because it’s not easy to use the money to buy food," Old Master Daniels said unhurriedly. "If he’s not stupid, he will use this chance to rise up. But I don’t think he’ll be able to succeed."

Dylan shrugged. "Then we just need to use this chance to rise up first."

"You brat, do you finally want to learn business?" Old Master Daniels looked at his grandson expectantly.

Back then, he has been urging this damn brat to learn about business more but Dylan was unwilling. He gave 1001 reasons to avoid learning about business and had to be dragged back just to listen to some lecture.

"Well, the property certificate will definitely still be used because it’s not easy to deny people’s private belongings." Dylan tilted his head. "So I guess we can start from this matter when we reach the base later."

Old Master Daniels nodded his head with satisfaction. "But in this situation, it’s estimated that we can’t continue the previous business in real estate."

After all, the government would want to retain their ownership of the houses to let the refugee live. There would definitely be some restriction to buy money until either the flood was gone or something else.
