Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear -
Chapter 199: Want Some?
Chapter 199: Want Some?
What they didn’t expect was the scoring system.
[65/100!
Great job, but not so great!]
Rayen laughed at the result.
’Are they mocking us?’
Turned out that there was no need to act cute at all. The jukebox will just give them a score just like a karaoke machine would.
"Bring my dignity back," Rayen complained.
Adrian eyed him at the side. "Do you still have dignity left, Eureka-Eureka?"
Rayen was stumped. He glared at Adrian, slightly observing Ren’s reaction. This hateful guy had no slightest idea what they were talking about, so he just briefly watched them before turning his gaze away as he noticed Rayen’s attention on him.
"Well, well. Not bad for a five minute preparation performance, right?" Adrian said, relenting to Rayen’s ’dignity’.
Sigh.
Whatever cabin they get with this score, Rayen just hoped it would be decent.
The next sets of performances were kind of the same level as the first performance. The jukebox didn’t give another message aside from "Great job, but not so great!" which made Rayen feel glad for a bit.
Since this wasn’t a formal round, everyone just went their way to enjoy it.
This night was meant for healing, anyways.
Finally, everyone’s performances have finished. Team Red’s score, well...
"Not bad, right?" Adrian said, his tone wasn’t that confident.
Rayen glanced at the scoreboard. Their score was at the bottom of the list. Although the other teams received the same evaluation message as theirs, their scores were a little bit ahead.
Rayen glared at the jukebox and then toward Plotter. These two screwed his healing!
"Congratulations to Team Black on winning the privileged cabin!" Plotter announced. "Let’s see what kind of cabin you got!"
Plotter left the stage and led Team Black toward one of the largest cabins. He opened the door and showed the amenities inside.
"This is the first class cabin. Inside, you have three separate bedrooms. In the living room, there are tons of fun things to do! You can watch movies, play video games, board games, sing karaoke, and more. There’s also a separate bathhouse adjacent to the cabin."
Just hearing the explanation from the outside, Rayen could taste the bitterness in his mouth.
The winning group and Plotter went out of the cabin.
"Did you like it?" Plotter asked.
Yeo Haru cheered from their team.
If Rayen didn’t change their team, would the result be different?
’Dammit. If I knew the scoring system would be like that, I would have just shouted the song!’
After all, it was a known theory that karaoke machines would often give higher scores the louder the singing was. It was never about how they sang the song at all!
However, it didn’t matter now. They already lost the competition.
Plotter led the rest of the other teams toward their own cabin, giving them a tour inside while his voice echoed outside, eliciting envy from the other teams who placed lower.
Finally, Plotter walked over to Team Red.
"As for Team Red," Plotter said, eagerly staring at Rayen to gauge his reaction.
"Yey," Rayen cheered unenthusiastically.
Plotter chuckled before leading them to the smallest cabin. He opened the door, then stepped aside to let the team see what was inside.
"Here you go~" Plotter gestured for them to enter.
Inside the living area, there was but a single TV monitor and a small couch. Then, there was a simple island kitchen. Thankfully, when Plotter opened the fridge, it was filled with food.
Next, they went inside the bedroom. There were two bunk beds forcefully fitted inside a ten square meters room. It was definitely cramped for three men to share this small bedroom.
"Do you like it?" Plotter asked.
’Like it, my ass. Why don’t you just hand us a tent and let us sleep outside?’
Not only did Rayen have to occupy the smallest cabin in the camp, he also had to sleep together with Ren in this cramped space.
"Now that everyone has seen their cabins, let’s continue with the party!"
Plotter and the members of Team Red begrudgingly went outside where the music began sounding again.
The party continued until the bonfire at the center of the camp gradually died. With the moon already high in the sky, the teams, one by one, settled in their own cabin rooms.
As well as Team Red.
Tired and exhausted, Rayen immediately went to the bedroom. However, there was one problem.
Adrian also entered, already claiming one bed for himself.
"Good night," he said.
"Hey, I’m gonna sleep on the bottom bed," Rayen protested.
"There’s another one there." Adrian pointed.
But just as Rayen was about to go to it, Ren pushed him aside and claimed the spot.
Rayen stopped in his tracks.
"You..."
"I got here first," Ren said, then laid down.
Exhausted dealing with this guy, Rayen headed to the other bed where Adrian was already lazing on. He stared at Adrian.
Adrian stared back at him. "What? You want this spot?"
"Yeah. What do you want in return?"
"I don’t want anything. I just want to sleep in this bed."
"Really?"
"Nothing." Adrian shook his head.
’C’mon!’
Rayen stared at him hard, almost as if begging to be in that bed.
"I already spread my scent in the sheets. You want to smell my sweat that bad? Come." Adrian patted the cushion beside him with a grin. "I haven’t showered yet."
Rayen gave up.
’I’ll remember this day, you jerk.’
He grabbed the pillow and the blanket on the upper bunk and headed outside the room. If he couldn’t sleep there, better just claim the couch.
"Hey, where are you going?" Adrian asked.
"None of your business."
Before Rayen could close the door, he heard Adrian laugh in victory.
Rayen wrapped himself with the blanket then jumped on the couch. After settling on the couch, Rayen turned the TV on and watched movies by himself.
’Ah... This is much better.’
Now that he was alone, there might have been some perks on being in this living room. At least, he wouldn’t be in the same breathing space as Ren. He could even claim the TV for himself and the fridge were just ten steps away from him.
’This is bliss...’
But his moment was broken when the door to the bedroom flung open and that hateful figure appeared in his vision.
Rayen glared at Ren. Ren stared back at him.
"What?" Ren asked.
Rayen didn’t respond and turned his gaze back to the TV.
Meanwhile, Ren proceeded to the fridge and opened it. He took out the tray of eggs before grabbing for the instant noodles on the cupboard.
The music from the TV and the sound of the metal pot being filled with water mixed together. But as Ren turned the water off, the sound of a rumbling stomach reverberated in the room.
He glanced back toward the direction where it came from and saw that Rayen was hiding under his blanket.
"....."
’This damn stomach...’
After the long party, the food they gathered and ate together had been fully digested by him. Betrayed by his stomach, he remained stiff on the couch.
Just then, he heard a low chuckle.
"Want some?" Ren asked.
"....."
’Want some, my ass. What if you put poison in it?’
Suddenly, the door to the bedroom flung open. Adrian’s head popped out from the inside. "Me. I want some. Cook me some too, Eyeliner babe."
With that, Ren grabbed two more packets of noodles and added more water to the pot.
’Hey, I didn’t say I wanted some!’
