Chapter 163: The Last Part

’What’s wrong with being beautiful?’

Despite thinking that way, Rayen avoided Iris’s gaze. After that, the evaluation for Ayumi and Xu Jiji’s parts quickly passed by.

It was easy to predict what would be the result for their battles. The next segment was the one that they were waiting for the most.

The result for the final part of their song.

To hype up the presentation of the result, the production staffs edited their dancing scenes into an intense arena matching.

’How did they edit those in such a short time?’

Though it has already been proven how efficient the production team was in editing such videos, it still made Rayen wonder just how did they do it.

Well, magic might be the key — Plotter always said so.

Watching their dancing match, Rayen observed just how well he did.

He could say that he did okay in dancing. His moves might not be as glamorous as Yeo Haru and the Ballerina, but his singing was really clear and stable.

But was that enough?

To make things even more eyecatching, the scene when Xi Huan threw the confetti and imitated a party popper was focused on. And then the camera panned out to Rayen’s confetti-laden face.

This time, he looked ridiculous.

’Just how much will this show make me more like a clown?’

After that, it was finally the result.

One by one, their four teammates appeared on the screen.

The first one was their leader, Adrian.

Smilingly for a moment, he then opened his mouth, "Hmm... It’s really hard to choose. I have two candidates in mind. It’s either Yeo Haru or... Rayen."

Adrian feigned a cough and ignored Xi Huan. This was the first time Rayen had seen this guy so embarrassed.

Soon, they heard Adrian’s reason.

"Why not include the original owner of the part?"

Adrian on the screen smiled. If this smile could be seen by the fans, they would definitely feel their hearts flutter. This guys was really too irritatingly handsome, it made Rayen’s skin crawl in creep.

"Xi Huan did a decent job, but I think these two did more than good. The only thing Xi Huan did was to scatter some colorful papers."

The interviewer once again asked Adrian on the screen another question.

"Then what about the other three who auditioned for the parts?"

But Adrian didn’t give them any chance.

"Well, Ms. Faye is an excellent dancer, but I don’t think her dancing style fits the song. As for the other two... My opinion for them is the same as with Xi Huan’s."

’Being a writer truly helps with the way of words.’

"Then who would be your final choice?" the interviewer asked.

"Can you give me five minutes?" Adrian requested.

The interviewer had become speechless, but he did give Adrian time to think, although it was edited into a time lapse.

Finally, he opened his mouth.

"Rayen."

The person stated flinched in place after hearing it. With wide eyes, Rayen glanced at the original person who uttered his name.

Within the next few seconds, Adrian explained his reason why he finally chose Rayen.

"Well, I am biased with Rayen and his voice. You could say I’m his fan." The onscreen Adrian smiled, flashing his glaring white teeth.

The scene immediately switched to the next person to choose. It was Xu Jiji.

"Brother Rayen," he said with a smile without even explaining it.

Xu Jiji was really that simple.

If the next person to choose will choose Rayen, then he would bag the part.

The next one to appear on the screen was Iris. However, she uttered a name that nobody expected. It was the person whom they least expected to be chosen, the person who seemed to haven’t even practiced the part he was auditioning for.

And Iris’s reason was that ’because everyone deserved a part’.

Truly a very kind woman...

’However, why was this woman looking at me with a dead glare?’

Sigh.

But with Iris’s answer, there was no longer a battle. Even if Ayumi voted, Rayen already got the majority votes. Realizing that, Rayen smiled.

"Aww... My part..." Xi Huan complained.

Still, Ayumi’s vote was shown on the screen. She actually chose Xi Huan because they were friends. Hearing that, Xi Huan immediately latched herself on Ayumi’s arms. But Rayen was feeling doubtful.

Remembering her past crime, there could be a chance that Ayumi was just hypnotized by Xi Huan into thinking they were friends. After all, Rayen had never seen these two interact much.

And so, the parts for Team Seven Flowers had been reassigned. Though nothing changed much except for the last part.

Rayen sighed in relief. The previous anxiety the riddled him finally dissipated into oblivion.

The next team to take the stage was Team IFY. Lead by Ara, Rayen observed everyone from her team. Noticing something amiss, he frowned.

Rayen recalled them having at least six members, but only five people stood and lined up onstage.

Then, he realized who was the one missing.

Rayen glanced on his right side and saw a figure hunching his back on one of the seats. This figure was trembling in place, muttering something to himself.

"Please... Please... I don’t want to disappear..."

As though uttering a prayer, the figure just kept on saying this line repeatedly.

Rayen sighed.

This figure was someone he knew — it was Minho.

His lips were chapped and almost white, his hair was disheveled, and he didn’t pay attention to anything. Truly unlike himself...

Finally, he snapped awake, realizing that everyone from his team had gone onstage. Flustered, he glanced at them and met Ara’s fiery gaze.
