Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear
Chapter 146: Why Me Again?!

Chapter 146: Why Me Again?!

"This is the bad news I’m talking about," Plotter said.

Rayen glanced at the person at the center of all this mess. Throughout the entire video, Yeo Haru was silent. Even though the video had long stopped, his eyes continued to stare at the screen behind Plotter.

Only Rayen knew what this guy might be thinking.

"Brother, not everyone in this place could be a friend."

"Ehem, ehem. As the one being blamed again about this matter, what are your thoughts?"

Rayen shifted his gaze toward the other three, waiting for their answers. However, they also turned to look at Rayen.

’Why are you looking at me?’

Rayen blinked. Just then, Adrian nudged him at his side.

"Ah, what?" Rayen glanced at this annoying writer with a frown.

The writer’s finger was pointing in front of them. Rayen followed it, meeting Plotter’s mischievous eyes that were intently watching him.

’What?’

Finally, Rayen realized.

"Me?"

Plotter nodded.

"Huh? Why me again?!"

How could it be? He hadn’t even spoken at all in the video, so why was it him being blamed for all of this?

"Can you at least tell me the reason why I’m the one being blamed for all of this?"

Looking at him with a resigned expression, Plotter opened the comment section under the video.

Hate comments upon hate comments were piled up with his name. They connected this incident to the first one; the only difference from back then and now was that he had accomplices they blamed alongside him.

There were still comments defending him though. Seeing those, Rayen felt grateful.

"... But I thought it was already resolved?"

Plotter didn’t answer, but Rayen had already guessed it. Not everyone would blatantly believe something that came from the perpetrator itself without solid evidence. There must be some — at least — that doubted its authenticity.

And now that another video was leaked that can be used against him, these people would readily take the bite.

Even if he denied it with the victim again, without proof, it would just look like some kind of PR ploy.

Unless the true video from the first incident was released, nothing would be resolved. But that would spell the end for Binh — which Rayen wasn’t willing to happen.

Eventually, they just returned to square one.

But really... Rayen didn’t even do anything. Why was he being targeted with all this hate?

Adrian patted Rayen, trying to ease the tension.

"Yo, getting famous already, eh?"

Rayen wanted to roll his eyes.

"So, what do we do?" Plotter asked.

Hearing those words, Rayen felt even more annoyed. This wasn’t supposed to be his problem, but theirs! Theirs!

’Ahhhhhh!!!’

Rayen wanted to scream and glare at Plotter. If they had done their job well, this wouldn’t have happened anyway. And why was the video not reported yet?

’These incompetent people...’

Meanwhile, it was Minho who answered. "C-Can we just upload something to counter it?"

"Like what?"

"Well, uh..." He looked at Yeo Haru.

Binh and Renjiro also glanced the same way at Yeo Haru.

What they meant by their gaze was simple. They wanted to release the behind the scenes during the first round, impliciting they only said those words because of Yeo Haru’s attitude problem.

But doing that... would it really resolve the problem?

The agency was already being accused of condoning to bullying. If they release something against Yeo Haru, that would spell like they were blatantly siding with the three perpetrators. The audience wouldn’t be pacified, and the result would be the opposite instead.

Just how would they solve this problem without harming anyone?

Rayen bit his cheeks as he tried to think of a solution. Just then, Yeo Haru finally said something.

"Why should I ruin my image because of you? I built it using everything I could."

Rayen and the others flinched at Yeo Haru’s sharp words. Unable to believe that these words came from that camera conscious person, Rayen stared at him, wide-eyed.

’Wait? Are there cameras here?’

He looked around and sighed in relief when he saw that no cameras were rolling.

Yeo Haru continued, "You were the one talking behind my back. And now, you’re saying you want to release something about me?"

"T-That’s not what I meant..." Minho defended.

"Then what?"

"Hey, Yeo Haru," Rayen called out.

However, Yeo Haru didn’t listen. The rim of his eyes were already red, like he was about to cry in frustration.

’Seriously, why is this guy so sensitive?’

Rayen felt a headache coming.

"You act like you’re satisfied with my leadership, then you talk behind my back?"

"That..."

Minho’s face reddened.

"I tried to lead you properly. You were the one uncooperative."

The three remained silent, especially Binh. Since Yeo Haru refused to listen to him, Rayen only kept watching.

Seeing Rayen’s nonchalance, Adrian raised his brows. He whispered to Rayen, trying to make his voice as low as possible. "You seem calm?"

Sigh.

He didn’t answer Adrian’s question. Looking at the four who had caused this mess, he really couldn’t answer Adrian.

Should he also join the fight and blame them that he was put into this situation because of their words and actions? They were just careless words said amidst the pressure of their upcoming performance.

But really... could Rayen himself avoid the blame? He was also their teammate, and yet he wasn’t even able to prevent this rift within his team.

Adrian seemed to understand the implication of Rayen’s silence and didn’t keep on pressing him for answers.

In the end, nothing was resolved at all. After voicing out his thoughts, Yeo Haru kept his mouth shut, refusing to look at the trio.

Binh’s eyes remained downcast. Rayen’s head was throbbing with stress.

’We’re on the verge of disappearing, yet you’re still fighting among yourselves?!’

He glared at Plotter.

’Hey! Solve this problem yourself! I’m the true victim here!’

Why did he have to be stressed because of this? Was being an idol really this stressful?

Seemingly understanding Rayen’s cue, Plotter finally said something, "Then, we’ll try to improve the situation as we can. Please just wait in the lobby for the meantime. The 5th game has already started."

Rayen and the others went out silently, a dark curtain hanging over their heads. It was so gloomy, making it hard to breathe.

But just as they were about to reach the door, Plotter called out for them again.

"Wait."

They looked back.

"Participant Navin, please stay behind."

Visibly puzzled, Adrian pointed to himself. "Me?"

"Yes, you."

A deep frown appeared on Adrian’s face. "Why?"

Plotter smiled wide which made Adrian shiver uncontrollably.

"If you want your face intact, you won’t want me to answer your question with the others still here."

Adrian flinched. What did this guy do?

Right... Why was he even summoned here? He was totally unrelated to this matter.

Upon hearing Plotter’s words, the others went ahead and left through the door, leaving Rayen looking at Adrian with an inquiring gaze.

As if Plotter didn’t mind Rayen’s presence, he finally told the reason why Adrian was called down here.

Handing out a phone, a series of photos of a private conversation using the Idol:Revive app was displayed for them to see. Rayen read it, his face turning odder as the time passed.

[Navin: Hey, eyeliner babe. What did you do to Rayen?

***: I didn’t fucking do anything. Stop calling me babe, you freak.

Navin: You’re hurting my heart...]

’Eyeliner babe?’

A certain annoying face flashed by Rayen’s mind. Shaking his head to erase the thought, he continued reading, switching to another screenshot.

[Navin: Hahaha wanna eat lunch later? My treat (Plotter winking sticker)]

’This message seems familiar...’

"What the hell is this?" Rayen looked at Adrian. "Are you a pervert?"

Adrian clutched his chest in pain. "What? Me?! How can you say that, my roommate?"

Rayen dismissed the notions in his mind. Forget that he was a pervert. That was just how he usually talked.

Numerous screenshots were laid out for them with Adrian talking to each person like a flirt.

Did Adrian already befriend everyone in the show? That Ren was also on his friend list, even though they hadn’t been teammates at all.

"Then can you explain what’s happening? If these got out, you’re dead, you know?" Rayen asked.

Adrian chuckled dryly. "A habit. A habit. If you’re an office worker, you need to cozy up with everyone."

Rayen doubted it. He could just imagine this guy being beaten up after talking like this to his boss.

But why did Plotter have photos of these conversations?

’Could it be...’

Rayen and Adrian gazed at Plotter with the same questioning eyes. It was possible for Plotter to get access with these because of Mini Plotter. Remember, this bizarre person has a stalker tendency!

Plotter only smiled innocently. "It’s not my doing. It was the perpetrator of the leaked video."

Adrian’s face hardened.

"You just escaped a calamity yourself. If these hadn’t been intercepted, your situation might have been worse than my idol here."

Plotter’s face was haughty as if asking for Adrian to praise him.

Rayen burst his bubble. "If you’re this competent in my matters, then I won’t be so stressed."

Plotter’s haughtiness instantly dispersed. He stuck out his tongue with a playful smile.

"Well, uh... The perpetrator must have uploaded the matter before I launched the security measures with Propagator. It’s possible to upload it with a timer."

Sigh.

’Wasn’t that what I meant? You waited for something to happen first before you launched any prevention measures!’
