Chapter 121: Break Your Heart

Sigh.

With the first team doing well, cold sweat formed in Rayen’s palm. Being the first one to perform was easier than having to watch the others’ performance.

When Rayen met Adrian on the stairs, Adrian sent him a grin. Rayen raised his brows.

"Goodluck, roommate," he mouthed.

’Good luck, my ass. Stop acting as if you’ve already won.’

As Rayen was on the highest level of the seats, he was also the one to arrive last. When he turned his attention away from Adrian, he saw his team members gathering in a circle, their strange costumes a feast for the eyes.

"Bro, stop staring and come here," Minho called.

Rayen immediately went to them and saw that their hands were on top of each other.

"C’mon. Join us," Minho urged.

Rayen placed his hand above everyone else.

Just then, Nana, the one who always spoke less, said to everyone, "L-Let’s all perform our best. No one will get eliminated from us."

’Eliminations...’

Sigh.

"Best of us!" The team shouted in unison.

After that, the members all scurried toward their positions on the stage. The stage turned dark.

When the lights returned, the stage was already filled with mist. No one from the team could be seen on stage at all.

Suddenly, two heads peeked out from a large boulder, one red, one black.

The music started with the plucking of the bass, clashing with the sound of running water on the background. It felt refreshing to the ears.

With mischievous smiles on the two’s faces, they pulled out a wooden bow, pulling the strings together and aiming at the air.

The arrow was released. Midway through though, it suddenly disappeared as an illusion of fireworks exploded in the air.

"Break it."

The sparks floated down to the members hiding below, gradually dissipating in the mist. A cold sensation seemed to have enveloped Rayen’s whole body.

He knew, Jiji’s bow had taken effect. Everyone on the stage had been blessed by Cupid’s charm, adding another 100% to his already high visual charm.

Zi Xu came to this on-site concert because he was curious. There were just too many rumors going around the Entity community.

Two of the Overseers were planning to create a group of Existences. In the entire universe, only one person could be called that way.

The World Immortal.

Even the Entities weren’t sure themselves if the Immortal was even true. Apparently now though, an unprecedented thing was happening at the lead of the two Overseers.

So, Zi Xu came along when a recruitment for viewers were suddenly announced on EntiRoom.

Now, he was standing here, watching the other revered Entities scream excitedly for some unknown people on the stage.

’Are they really Entities?’

He shared the same sentiments with Rayen. He continued to watch the show with judging eyes, wondering just what kind of Existences the Overseers were creating.

There were many interesting participants that caught his eyes, especially the three performers from the first group of the Visual Unit.

Perhaps he would agree; they were truly good-looking. Matter of factly, not many Entities were ugly, and he could even say that just by looking at a person’s face, he’d probably recognize them if they were Entities.

They have glowing skins, mysterious aura that Zi Xu didn’t know how to describe. Most of the participants though, had no aura like that — except for the members of the last groups.

Zi Xu still couldn’t pry his gaze away from the straight-faced woman from the last group that performed, even though she had already settled in her seat.

Just then, a blasting sound awakened Zi Xu from his reverie. The beautiful, shining lights that rained upon the stage felt like falling stars. He followed one of the stars with his eyes until it landed on a man with a red-hair.

The Entities beside him gasped.

"Ah, look at Rayen. He’s so ethereal today."

At the same time the fireworks exploded, Mr. Big News’s voice came through the speakers.

"Break it."

From another boulder sat a large man with brown hair and green eyes. As the light reflected on his skin, it seemed to shimmer in translucent glow.

Just then, another person passed by the merman, holding a mirror while staring lovingly at it. As he walked, his mouth opened, rapping his lines.

"Hello there. How are you?

Do you see how the world looks like?

It’s you!"

Minho passed by anyone, the merman, the two mischievous angels and the bird woman, oblivious to his own surroundings.

Each of the bizarre creatures followed him with a bewildered expression upon realizing their charms didn’t work on them.

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts"

Finally, they gathered at the center of the stage. From behind Minho, they each casted a curious glance at the mirror in his hands.

The pre-chorus was approaching, and finally, it was Rayen’s turn to sing.

"Seeing you smile

I hear my heart shattering

Why are you so beautiful?

It’s driving me crazy!"

But the thing that registered on Zi Xu’s mind wasn’t Rayen’s voice. It was his playful smile as the words left his mouth, sending an electrifying effect to Zi Xu.

With that, Zi Xu’s eyes only followed Rayen’s every move. Throughout the whole performance, it never left that figure. The way Rayen moved as he walked, his smiles that looked natural as if not deliberate, his overflowing charm — everything was taken note of by Zi Xu.

Rayen once again took the center stage for his rap part. He uttered each word clearly, his voice stable as he danced to the rhythm.

"Outfits check, hairdo check

I have to go ahead

Smile, smile, smile to break your heart

Ready now!"

As if not satisfied though, Rayen added another touch to his lyrics before he ended it.

"Rrrraaaa!"

Gnarling, Rayen ended his part. Zi Xu’s eyes sparkled.

’He... He’s the perfect actor! I need him in my show!’

A conclusion reached Zi Xu’s mind. If he wanted this red-haired guy to star for him, he had to make sure first that he wouldn’t get eliminated. If there would be a chance to sponsor this guy, he would.

When the performance ended, Zi Xu clapped with all his might, transforming from the silent observer to a very supporting audience.
