Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear -
Chapter 120: Xi Huan
Chapter 120: Xi Huan
Rayen’s team returned to their seats after the interviews, leaving the other team. He watched as Adrian waved teasingly from the stage before shuffling his feet to his own position.
’Beat me?’
Rayen scoffed. Adrian might be handsome, but Rayen was quite confident with himself today. Not only had his Visual stat ranked up, but he was also wearing Cupid’s Garment.
’Why don’t you beat my +400% charm then?’
Another 100% would be added to it later. Today, he was riddled with various buffs, feeling like a superhuman. Before this performance, he didn’t neglect his other skills that he could possibly level up and bought boosters he could buy.
As a result, his Dancing skill had improved from C- to C.
And if Adrian’s visual stat hadn’t increased, Rayen was only one grade below him at A-.
It would just come down to whose performance was better today. If Rayen won, he’d make Adrian treat him to snacks in the cafeteria later.
’Just you see.’
Leaning back in his chair, Rayen glared at Adrian, even as the spotlight dimmed.
In the darkness, the music started to play. An airy voice filled the studio, singing the lyrics with so much longing emotions.
"I’ve been missing your scent~"
Adrian led the song with such deep emotions, it left even Rayen speechless.
’Did he rank up his vocal skill?’
He blinked, but he couldn’t check if his hunch was right as their phones were left outside the studio before the filming.
’So that’s why he’s so full of himself.’
Clicking his tongue, Rayen focused back on the performance. The lights that had returned, but a little dimmer than before.
A white moon illuminated the whole stage, casting an ethereal glow. It was so large as though it would eat up everyone. It sharply contrasted with the dark shadows of the performers.
Rayen realized though, it wasn’t only Adrian’s upgraded skill that was the reason for his confidence — the whole team was.
They danced gracefully under the moonlight with red fabrics in their hands. It flowed like red blood wings against the darkness, accentuating the mysteriousness of the dancers.
"I remember your sweetness
It lingers in my nose
Whenever I thought of it
I feel like dying, oh"
Ayumi’s cold voice sung the next lines, her eyes seemed to shine with a silver hue. Like an immortal vampire, her white skin glowed in the dark. The dress she wore fluttered along the red fabric she was holding.
’What an otherworldly beauty.’
Tonight, Ayumi’s beauty seemed comparable with Plotter’s otherworldly face.
Whenever the chorus approached, an unfamiliar face lead the dance. Though Rayen recognized her as the Ballerina from Xu Jiji’s first round team. She must have helped in adjusting some of their dance moves with the way it was turning out.
They let their red fabrics flutter in front of their faces as though they were wiping tears.
"It’s no longer here with me
No more, no more"
The performers danced in contemporary moves, turning and swirling with their red fabrics. It was hard to deny it. Rayen’s eyes couldn’t pry themselves away from the performance below.
The same as Rayen, it seemed as though Adrian was the lead singer. His expression was also top-notched.
His dazed gaze and melancholic expression, coupled with his brown hair that was neatly combed back, he exuded the sexiness of a Victorian vampire.
It wasn’t only him. Most of his teammates had the same expression as him as if it was uniform. It wasn’t that hard to maintain this kind of face. What was hard was looking good while doing it.
Adrian and Ayumi was rocking it though. As for their other teammates, they were decent too. They must have practiced their angles repeatedly. Whenever they took the center stage, all the audience could see were their good angles.
A particular participant also caught Rayen’s attention. He wore a hair extension, reaching almost his waist, which made him look even manlier.
His red outfit blended well with the stage’s color palette. Rayen’s attention was drawn in when he took the center stage. He seemed like a magician.
Somehow, while walking, a red rose appeared in his hand. He sensually brushed it on his face, his red lips uttering his sexy rap lines.
"Without your presence, I’m just a dying flower
Rotten and dried, unable to bloom any longer"
Gradually, the performance came to an end. Rayen clicked his tongue. He knew it would be hard to win against this team.
But it wasn’t impossible.
Just then, the members of Team Bloodless lined up on the stage. The audience below now had to decide which of them would be the most valuable performer.
The audience members held their black devices, their fingers hovering between the buttons. Every time a participant’s name was called, it didn’t take them a long time to press the button of their choice, especially when the three performers that dominated the stage were called.
When Adrian’s name flashed on the background screen, so was his face. The audience members below screamed.
"Navin! Navin!"
"Adi! Look at me!"
Adrian looked at the person in the front row and gave her a wink. "Please vote for me."
’Isn’t he too adept with this?’
Adrian seemed to know how to cozy up with the audience members with his gestures and words. Was it because of his experience as a writer or was it a different thing?
In Ayumi’s case, she only had to say a few words and stand there. The audiences would definitely vote for her.
As for the guy with the rose, he had proven himself even more when it was his turn. A confetti suddenly rained upon him as he struck a pose.
"Friends, you gotta vote for me, okay?" he said with a somewhat enchanting voice.
Even Rayen was tempted to cast a vote for him.
Finally, the voting came to an end. Rayen waited for the announcement without any idea who would win.
It was hard to predict. Three people outdid the stage this time. It wasn’t long before Yeon Miwol announced who it would be.
Not quite unexpected but still surprising. Beating two strong contenders by himself, the magician’s smiling face flashed on the screen.
"Team Bloodless’ MVP is... Xi Huan. Congratulations!" Yeon Miwol announced.
’So his name is Xi Huan...’
Rayen committed this name to his memory. He didn’t know why, but it seemed like he had to.
With the MVP confirmed, Rayen finally stood from his chair. It’s their turn now.
